Thank you , we are trying out podcasts to see how much people like audio content . If you have any suggestions on how we could better the content we would much appreciate it 😍👌

@@thenaturecompany the only thing I would suggest is that you schedule them, or do a post or Short letting us know when one is coming up. I would've missed it if my notifications weren't turned on for all your posts. What was great about it for me was that I had just finished up some stuff and was about to take a break. When I realized it was a podcast I just made myself comfortable, closed my eyes and listened. It was totally worth it! 💚👍🏼😊

Ah thanks for the advice 😍 This is our first time with podcasts and are not sure how they affect the channel and how they are distributed out on TH-cam , so this is all another learning curve for us 😁

Great orchid information as always! Question- what is that cattleya orchid name with the big floofy pink flowers? I have been trying to pinpoint it for a while now… I have one and it’s very happy, I should be getting about 16 blooms on it by spring!

there are hundreds that look fairly similar to this , Pink Empress is one of them . This one is a very old hybrid and I lost the tag many years ago . When yours flowers you can send us pics on our facebook page and perhaps I will be able to give you a better idea of what it might be 👍

This podcasting A.I. tool is really amazing, and I would not have known it is A.I. if I hadn't made my own podcast audio files using it! It is a very interesting tool. Just one thing that I'd like to disagree with: The notion that watering before fertilizing is necessary is just plain BS. I used to be convinced of that too, it is a fairly widespread notion. Yet, it makes absolutely no sense at all. If you use the right dilution there is no need to water your plants before fertilizing. In fact, watering them first will just make some of the fertilizer you bought with your hard earned money go to waste. The roots will take up less of the solution because they will be already full of plain water.

@@thenaturecompany Thank you for your response! I did watch the video, and I was pleased to know that you are aware of the negative side of watering first. What I don't understand is why, in the light of that, you still prefer to do it! As you said, in nature they get the highest concentrations right in the start of a rain fall, not later. And I say again, if you use appropriate dilutions and frequency, no harm will come from feeding first. I've never had root tip burning since I started doing it. I treat feeding and flushing salt buildup as two different (almost) unrelated issues. Flushing periodically is fundamental, but it is not something to deal with when feeding. My respectful opinion! Thank you for the exchange of ideas!

😁 sorry , I don't do it first . I grow much the same way as it sounds like you do 👍.It was the discussion on the podcast that I think was a bit confusing . Different people have very different ways of growing their orchids and will land up with very similar results . There are so many variables that I always say people should do what suits them best .
We really appreciate your opinion here , everyone learns from how others do it so they can refine their techniques . Don't ever be shy to speak your mind here 🫂👌💕
