It is so refreshing to see how you teach your lids they can do all things. You've not made them fearful of heights or hard work. You let them explore their limits. I hovered a bit too much over my two kids not always letting them try doing things that I was fearful of... like walking the beams and roof rafters as you have allowed with your kids down to the youngest! We have a log cabin on Lopez Island, WA that my husband and his four siblings built with their dad. They had a similar experience to what your kids are experiencing. My loving husband will tackle just about anything and any project. I think that comes from his upbringing. What confidence your children will have from the experiences of working on projects at your home in Montana and now your log cabin in Alaska. May God continue to protect and guide you in raising your beautiful children!

Justin and Ethan are becoming young men, the trade that they are learning is fantastic. Being able to watch this build from start to the final finish is an absolute delight. The home is going to be spectacular as the home in Montana is. I really enjoy watching how the log homes are built fine workmanship.

I am really enjoying your channel! Once again I learned something new from your build, Joas-how to keep sound traveling through wood stud walls by off-setting two 2X4 studs next to each other to make 2X6 walls with a narrow space between the studs so they don’t touch, plus insulation! (I think I got that right!) You are really skilled with that saw! I’m sure you could make great chainsaw sculptures out of tall stumps, too!!

Your boys are so knowledgeable on everything and I love how they chip in. You and Priscila must be so proud. It was great to see after my day and how I was treated by a couple of teenage boys. It wasn't kind and they scared the daylights out of me with the roughness they used on me. I was scared to death. You made my day, I wish all parents could be parents and have wonderful kids, but we all know that is not possible. Thank you for sharing, you and your family are my light at the end of my day.
Your beautiful boys are an inspiration to me….they work with no complaints what so ever….no IPad…just pure love of the family….you have thought them the values of families and religions….I am a catholic but just got stuck with the new technology it has to offer….I am sometimes ashamed what I have become. When I was young my grandfather would help me built desk, etc… missing the values back them….thank you for the simple things in life you put in on you tube….you’re the best in my book….stay safe guys!

You and your friends are making your build really fast. Can't wait to see it finished. By the way you may want to build a slanted roof over your RV because the average snowfall for your area is several feet per year. My concern is that it would cave in the roof of your RV, unless you plan on scraping the snow off every time it snows. May God continue to bless you all.

Just blown away by the size, scope and work. A plea. Please model safe building practices. You should be wearing a mask and safety goggles every single time you use a saw or an ax. Shawn James took a chip to the eye. Anyone showcasing building skills, and yours are awesome, really needs to showcase safe practices. It only takes once and you've lost an eye or your sight; all safety manuals stress the need for a mask any time you use a saw or sandpaper. Thanks for listening and just in awe of your gorgeous cabin. I especially love that it's not microscopic. Love so much about the tiny house concept but so many are just way too small to really envision living in. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Great build. It’s funny that’s it’s looking bigger inside with every wall and room. When I built my last house, it felt the same way. It looks med size on paper. Then, it looks small when the outside walls are up. Once divided inside…it opens up and looks so much bigger! Super job to all!

I enjoy every tidbit of your videos and I was thrilled to find this one! You and the boys are making wonderful progress on your cabin and it will be great! I’m glad you had a nice hunting trip with the boys, also. Priscilla is getting the younger children started on their school work and their math books look interesting! I’m glad you got your motor home winterized! Now that you are getting to work inside your house, hopefully the work will go faster. However, there are some things that take lots of time.
