The quotation marks are not exclusive to finding lyrics. Google searches for the exact phrase inside the quotation marks with the exact sequence. For example if I put "Vegas Sony" it will bring slightly different results than "Sony Vegas". You can verify it by the bold words shown in results.

My computer just keeps on telling me "didn't get that. try again" when I speak into the microphone with the microphone icon on google. Could you perhaps tell me why that is please?
One thing to keep in mind when looking for the weather for where you are. In order for it to tell you the weather for where you are, you need to have you location setting turned on and allow the weather app to access it. Otherwise you will always need to tell it your location. It's the same thing when looking for things like restaurants or stores for the location you are at. Google needs to have access to where you are unless you want to tell it where you are all of the time.

@TechGumbo, the customer service option is slightly risky. Scammers from Africa and India have used search engine optimizations to fake the customer service number of many companies. They use this to defraud individuals. This is a well-known thing and it's thus not a good idea to go for Google Search
A good idea always is to go to the default website and searching for the customer service number. It's a slightly elongated option, but always safe.

Asking Google for pronunciation using voice search is like being told to look up 'pneumonia' in the dictionary when you don't know how to spell it, don't you think? :-) Great tips otherwise.
Don't use Google for search on political topics. They are heavily scensoring. Use Bing or Duckduck Go.
