The whole album is a lyrical masterpiece. Musically, a huge step into the future for Jinjer. I have not witnessed a band this cohesive in a long time. Great reaction, hope you're doing well.

Yeah, depression sucks bigly! It made me stop listening to music for a few years. My joy was revived, when I stumbled across Jinjer last year. And they continue to make my life better. Literally my musical antidepressant!
I have a few bands/artists that serve that purpose for me during bad depressive episodes. Depression is definitely an unrelenting beast.
I always recommend Tati's interview with Psychology Today.

Great reaction to pit of consciousness. She is an introvert one on one in an interview. But on stage in front of hundreds of people her other side comes out and she becomes a beast. You are right when you said she is a master at writing song lyrics. Alot of singers just sing what someone else writes for them but not her. She's an amazing talent! She does say she suffers from a dark depression at times. That seems to inspire a lot of her lyrics.
You have my subscription. Amazing comments, solid musical skills and you pay attention to the lyrics (which is rare among the metal reactors). A pleasure to listen to your analysis. Greetings from a 50-yrs french female metalhead!
Just got my autographed CD copy of "Macro" this morning. I don't even have a way to play physical CDs anymore. I just couldn't pass it up. You should check out their track "Home Back". As a vet, who experienced war first hand, that one really speaks to me.

I never realized how hard will be choose of one song of their songs and make it a favourite. Even now, it's amazing song, but ALL other of them are AMAZING too!!!

I really like this song because of how relentlessly heavy and dark it is. Might be one of Jinjer's heaviest songs actually. And of course the video fits perfectly!
This song is one of my favorites of the album. Then again there are only two or three songs that arent utterly stuck in my mind yet :D
I really like "lainnereP", maybe even more than Perennial because they took the main themes of the song and turned it into an atmospheric masterpiece! And again it's even darker than the original!
And of course there is "Retrospection", which is melodic with awesome punchy slow grooves and a straight up two-step section in the middle!
"On the top" is also really fucking good! Tati's flow during the verses gets my blood boiling everytime and the brigde is just beautiful!
The album is a 9/10 for me and also better than Micro!

I totally can relate to this song....more so lyrically than any other on the entire new album. i've replayed this video over and over since it dropped and somehow in its "dark" imagery i have found solace and comfort in it. To some this would be a very dark, bleak, and daunting video/message, but to some of us it's home.
I agree 100%. This is my favorite video from them by far, because the imagery feels like a reflection of my insides, especially in combination with the lyrics.
Jeffrey Fisher suggested reading Tati's interview in Psychology Today, and I have to say that it gave me a whole perspective and respect on the way she writes, and for her as a person. knowing how she feels and what & why she puts what she does into the music, I feel more connected to it than ever. "Home" is definitely the perfect word.

The riffs remind me of Carcass from the early 90's
because of the success of Micro l did have slight concerns over whether they could continue on that level or even better it...but I was worrying over nothing...Macro is a perfect extension of Micro...also, this is an awesome video......we're still gonna see that Brazilian video in the near future though aren't we?

Unusual video aspect, haven't seen many music videos shot in anamorphic format... not sure if it relates to something in the lyrics they wanted to convey.

Brother you should definitely check out jinjer's new album known as macro maybe go through it especially retrospection which is my favorite song from macro in my opinion this album is their best because they gave it everything they got tatiana went even lower with her harsh vocals and the instrumentals are more heavy then before plus the lyrics are really heavy plus the music videos has got even better than before and it was amazing before so just imagine jinjer is just the best 🤘🤘😍😍🖤🖤
I've listened to most of it now, still got a few left to listen to, but yes, this is definitely some of their absolute best work. It's on another level both lyrically and musically. SO GOOD.
