  • "The gospel, however, must be simple if it is to be made available to all. Aren't you thankful that you don't have to have a Ph.D. in philosophy to be saved? We have a simple, basic gospel, easily understood and made available to all. And if even children can be saved, then it must be simple. The gospel must be simple because it's not something you have to accomplish, but rather receive. Someone else did it all. You just have to receive it." - Chad Thompson

"Many people reject the gospel because it’s simple. It’s just too basic. It’s too childish... And you can imagine all the long-robed
professors at colleges and various places,
you know, not liking the idea that
    the GREATEST THING they could
    know is something that little
    children could understand,
    the thing that would
    transform their life
    and society."

I thought I believed this, yet I would get depressed if I didn't have a near perfect day, wondering if I could be saved. I wasn't trusting that Jesus took my future sins as well as my past ones. It took over 2 weeks of lots of videos by NeedGod to get it through my thick head. It IS basic, and I was trying to add my works to my salvation. The Gospel is even more BEAUTIFUL than I'd taken it for, for years.

What do we do with the warnings in scripture and how can we know for sure that they aren’t for us? It’s not that I don’t believe the gospel, it’s the uncertainty of knowing if it’s for me personally or not. I know the promises in scripture and I know the warnings. Sometimes the promises are so powerfully clear to my mind and heart…but there are other times the fear of the warnings and curses about neglecting salvation bring me to despair. If only I could know the love of God deep within and never doubt it! Oh Lord Jesus please reveal the cross to me so that I may never doubt Your love!

You said, "If only I could know the love of God deep within and never doubt it!" Be careful not to create an emotional experience that you demand God to give you in order to believe in Him. The Bible calls you to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and take Him at His word. It is simple: "You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children" (Matthew 11:25). The Bible reveals God's deep love for sinners, and you are commanded to trust in what He has done. The work on the cross is finished. As a condemned criminal, Christ is your only hope. Come to Him by faith, not by feelings.

@@illbehonestbut if we take Him at His word does He not also condemn those that have trampled upon His grace? Does He not tell those in that condition the only hope they can have is an expectation of judgement that will consume His adversaries? How do we come into agreement with the promises and expectation of God’s love while wrestling with our past unrepentant heart that spurned Him for so long? I suppose I stumble at the warnings in scripture.

@@JoshuaW86 You said, "How do we come into agreement with the promises and expectation of God’s love while wrestling with our past unrepentant heart that spurned Him for so long?" The key lies in what you said about your "PAST unrepentant heart..." Do you see? It is not that you are PRESENTLY despising and hating the Lord, but that in the PAST, this was your posture of heart towards Him. So it was with the apostle Paul prior to his own conversion (See 1 Timothy 1). So what must you PRESENTLY do? Believe on Christ with the light you have. You know why I love looking at babies/children… because they are still mentally innocent and pure in the eyes of the Creator. The same should apply to the adults. We adults must be wise as a serpent and innocent as doves and think in the way of Jesus. Stay humble, repent everyday and stay true to the doctrine of Jesus Christ. God is a multicultural equal opportunity God. I know salvation is individual and that he gave us free will. The choice is yours however for the sake of God’s love for humanity I wish you would prefer to choose the light. Just my thoughts.🕊

@dohseyes5744 God gave Adam and Eve free will, and they blew it for themselves and all of us
      We do NOT have free will. We have wills, and we make choices and are responsible for our choices but our wills are bound, not free, we cannot make choices toward God unless he enables us to do so. I am so sick and tired of hearing ignorant Christians spewing the lie that we have free will. Martin Luther, the reformer, said it best;
FREE WILL IS A DOWNRIGHT LIE!!!
      And Charles Spurgeon said this:
"I do not come into this pulpit hoping that perhaps somebody will of his own free will return to Christ. My hope lies in another quarter. I hope that my Master will lay hold of some of them and say, 'You are mine, and you shall be mine. I claim you for Myself.' My hope arises from the freeness of grace, and not from the freedom of the will."

You must be new. I on the other hand grew up in church since childhood and have been blessed by the Holy Spirit. God did enable us to have the freedom of making a choice whether positive or negative. For many are called yet few are chosen meaning the word of God is not for everybody. All churches exist for a purpose and a reason. Out of each one God will take out the children that were preordained by him. Genesis 11/The Tower of Babel/the one language was confused and the one people were scattered over the face of this earth. Abraham’s children are not only bloodline however by the spiritual bloodline of the spirit in Jesus Christ. As for the Adam and Eve’s situation, they didn’t blow it, everything happens for a reason and you might not have the gift of insight, vision nor discernment to see it. If sin didn’t exist then what would be the purpose of going after God so therefore sin has to exist so that there can be a universal balance - the scales of justice. I’m not an idol worshipper and I only follow Jesus Christ’s mindset meaning that my human thoughts are the garbage of this world and God’s thoughts are the most surpassing and relevant of them all. You don’t know me on a personal level and what you have demonstrated by your words is that you need an attitude adjustment since you’re sick and tired of lies are a sign of rude combative behavior. You should take it up with God in prayer. Have a peaceful life.🕊

I agree except for the phrase "repent daily".
      That's a church-ian phrase.

*The Apostle Paul said in Romans 7/So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Read Romans 8 especially vs. 5-8. God promises to forgive those who repent, confess their sins, turn from those sins and turn toward a life of obedience. Sin is with us until our last breath and sometimes thoughts can be intrusive entering without consent. We all have our weaknesses one way or another, we are not perfect. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. When I said repent daily, it was asking the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of my sins because I acknowledge its existence and rebuke it immediately in his holy name.🕊*

I thought your channel was reformed. How can the gospel be available to all, if not all are regenerate and have been given the faith to believe? I am not being argumentative here. I really want to know. FYI, i was Arminian for 40 years, but am now and forever will be a Calvinist, partly because of your channel. I am in perpetual tension over how the first great imputation made all sinners in Adam, but the second and third great imputaions only apply to some in Christ. The some, of course being the elect.
So, again i ask, how is the Gospel available to all.

    • @FatimaLasay
      @FatimaLasay 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

The way I understood it, the Gospel is available to all and to be preached throughout the whole world (Matt 24:14 and the great commission at Matt 28:16-20), and to enter the kingdom of God, one must be born again (John 3:5-7), and this new birth is only an act of God and not of man upon the believer, (Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:8-9). I hope this helps.
Maybe it is clearer in the full sermon.

@samvm186 Look up the famous missionary to India, William Carey. He witnessed, converted and discipled many Indians. He started many schools for them, including the first university in India to award degrees
William Carey was a great missionary. He was a particular baptist. That means he was a Calvinist!!
So, YOU had better stop that Arminian thing, because Calvinists are very good at fulfilling the great commission. Did you really think that the two verses you quoted somehow negated Calvinism?
I was Arminian for 40 years and I HATED Calvinism. But by the grace of God, I read the works of the Reformers and the Puritans and learned that Arminianism was invented by the Roman Catholic Jesuit priest, Molina who pushed it through his spies in England and Holland.
So, I strongly encourage you to begin reading the Puritans and Reformers as I did, and I pray that God will rescue you from the popish and Satanic lie of free-willy arminianism.

I didn’t hear the gospel message. But, the gospel message is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. It is that Jesus Christ is the everlasting Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. It’s that simple.

Yeah, that doesn't follow at all. If that's true explain all the near death experiences recorded, and explain the miracles that have been performed by believers.
The Bible has been relentlessly scrutinized and as of yet, not a single person has succeeded in disproving it. In fact, those who have set out to do so have become strong Christian believers.

So don’t think about it too hard. The problem is, if you do think about it, it makes no sense.
God created humans in a perfect world, but intentionally set them up for failure, lied to them about the consequences, and sent a (perfectly truthful) adversary to trick them into doing it. After that, things eventually got so bad He had to destroy everything, but He’s very sorry and will never do it again. He then had to wipe out several populations to make way for a chosen people and send them a convoluted mess of laws. When they couldn’t live up to God’s expectations, he enacted plan B and sent Jesus so that none of it mattered anyway. Well, only for people after that, and only if you happen to be convinced by someone who knows about it. How is that simple?
Often the best solution is the simplest one. Just create Heaven, however it’s supposed to look like (free will or not) and put everyone there to begin with. Hell was a terrible idea anyway; you could go there for stealing a cookie.
Would anyone object to that plan? If so, do you object because you wouldn’t prefer it or because it conflicts with your religion?
