    Just picked mine up today. Ran 20 rounds of Sig hollow points and 100 of Federal 230 grain round ball. Not one hiccup. Can't wait to see how she runs after about 500 rounds or so. Beautiful gun. Even more beautiful in person

    I’ve had mine for three years now, best 1911 I’ve shot! Had to change out the crappy mags for Wilson Combat though.

    I had the exact same gun a few years back except mine was the Nightmare color scheme. It did still have the round slide though which i was proud of cause thats very rare on the Nightmares. My general take on it is that its a fantastic 1911. Im a 1911 guy and have had many and that one is one of the best. Now i will say its not THE best, but its close. My #1 pro would be accessories. You really get a lot for the price. Especially with the sights, those are above and beyond the best feature. Phenomenal sights. My #1 con would be materials, which really isnt a big deal to me but some 1911 guys are very picky about that stuff. They do use quite a few MIM parts on it, especially for the controls of the gun. To me, id gladly trade off the cost of higher quality controls to help afford the sights and checkering. They put the quality where it counts as far as im concerned. The accuracy i got out of mine was typical. Nothing spectacular but then again this is meant as a carry gun, not a competition gun so no worries there. The finish is very very good. Closing comments, if you want the best quality buy a Colt. If you want the ultimate carry 1911 out of the box, buy the Sig.

    That's one SWEET pistol. I'me interested in Commander style bobtail or fastback type handle. Great informative vid. You did not say, unless I missed it, is that an all steel gun or some type of lightweight carry frame? The $1K, I believe is reasonable for Sig quality. Thanks for telling us about the new Sig.

    Toy notice any slide wobble with your sig Sauer emperor fast back? I have minimal movement with my slide to frame fit. I talked to sig sauer an they said that its a production gun an that that it is with in spec if its not an
    Outrageous wobble.

      Mine has been solid

    • @jaredmouret9723
      @jaredmouret9723 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a standard production 1911... not semi custom. surly not a full custom, that pistol was assembled from a box/bin of parts and very minimal fitting on controls, slide to receiver fit, hammer, mainspring housing. Believe it or not, your barrel lock up, when slide is in full battery is of more concern regarding accuracy. Also too, it's controversial but I feel a little slop is a good thing for reliability. I have personally seen $5,000 custom 1911's with ultra tight tolerance jam every type way because it got a little dirt or sand... so said... personally, I think it was hanging up from it's own carbon build up of around 500rds. Seems a happy medium is perfect for 1911's not too much slop for accuracy, not crazy tight tolerance for reliability.
      Sorry for the rant, but if the slop is really bothering you, you can always make any production 1911 a semi-custom. Look Into wicked custom, Ed brown, Wilson, and my favorite Turnbull.

    • @yankeecowboy
      @yankeecowboy  8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just bought this gun and it's fantastic except when they installed the sights at the factory they scrapped the bottom of the grooves in the slide for the front and rear sights, so much so that some of the FDE coating was removed down to bare metal. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this?
