Thanks for taking me on the trip with you. I am turning 81 next week and my husband of almost 60 years died a little over a year ago. We use to get up and decide to go somewhere for a day and really did not know where but it always ended up a wonderful, fun day for us. Please continue to make memories because that is all I have left. I can't even leave my home without someone having to take me so my outings now are to appointments. Hi Miss Lori, I want to thank you for taking me on your little adventure. My husband and I used to go out for a drive quite often before he passed. It’s been 6 months now and I miss him terribly. But we had some great times on our little adventures. I like to drive and go just about anywhere. Thank the Lord I haven’t gotten lost yet. That town of Hardy looked so inviting. That’s my kind of place. Well, really, I like just driving through places like that. I’m not a shopper, but I like driving through little towns and a lot of back roads. Hardy plays a very important role in my life. My Daddy, at age the age of 20, was sent to Hardy to teach the veterans from WWII how to farm. While teaching at Hardy he made a trip to Batesville and met a White River Water Carnival bathing beauty who became his wife. The start of their marriage was spent in a boarding house run by 2 sisters and located on the Main Street of Hardy. My siblings, my Daddy, and I will forever be grateful to to these ladies as they taught Momma to cook. Growing up we spent a few summer vacations in the Batesville/Hardy/Cherokee Village/ Spring River area.

Running away is fun sometimes and I just loved your little adventure. When you were filming in the antique shop I noticed Campbell Soup mugs. My father worked at Campbell Soup as an electrical engineer and we had all things Campbell Soup. I remember using those mugs for tomato soup all the time as a kid. I loved the wood shop you were in. So many beautiful things and so much talent. I would love to get my brother in law one of those Red Sox signs. I hope they have a website. Thanks for taking us along when you ran away.

I have always wanted to live down in Arkansas....my Aunt had a place down there, not sure of the town. As a former Arkansas raised man it's an honor to watch your videos as they bring back VERY FOND memories. I was raised on a farm outside Magazine, Arkansas by my Grandparents and your cooking reminds of my Grandma and her cooking and being able to help her at times. I’ve used RADA knives, utensils, dips and soups for years. Around 30 years ago I bought my kids sets of RADA knives for their families. I love the ice cream scoop & spatulas. ♥️
What an awesome place! I love perusing unique shops and antique stores, especially kitchen ware, one-of-a-kind dishes, small pitchers. When I’m a little down, or it’s a rainy afternoon, these outings always make me happy...something about simpler times, hand-worn pieces, the love created by them. I see many pieces very familiar to me, thank you Miss Lori for this chair-side trip with you and Mr. Brown❣️
