This happened to me back in the 80's. I was in a single's Sunday school class. A sweet married couple oversaw the ministry. The husband had a degree in theology. We went through the Bible verse by verse. It was in depth and we had all developed enough trust and vulnerability that if someone was struggling with something there was freedom to share, and we would all stand with the person to get through it. Wonderful class. Our teacher got a call one Saturday night and was told he no longer had a class. Our class would be merged with the college class. It was a political science class conducted by politicians who attended our church who held offices at federal, state and local levels all of the same party of course. I don't get up and go to church to hear from politicians. If I want politics on Sunday morning, there are a plethora of political news shows. I went to the senior pastor to see if we could get our class back explaining how Bible based it was. The Bible is what we needed. He said no, this is the way it was going to stay. By the exits instead of having devotionals or something like that you could take home, they started putting out political pamphlets and flyers. I had to leave. I was there to worship God and learn his word and not for stumping by politicians.
That’s disgusting actually. What a shame. You’re right we need scripture not politics in church. Even conservative politicians can’t force virtue onto the country. Hearts must change through Christ alone. God bless Cathy🙏
Just came here to comment, I scrolled past this video and my young kiddo called out "Keif Fosky!" With the same energy and excitement as they yell "Blippi!"
That Prince joke was hilarious. Definitely in character for the United Methodist. Also liked the Catholic accent, which threw me for a loop. I always imagine the stereotypical Catholic accent to be a thick Chicago accent. Great video as always, Pastor Keith! Happy Independence Day.
Nailed it with the Methodist as usual. God bless you brother. Ima have to start calling out my church cuz im Pentecostal and we don’t do none of that stuff in most of our services.
God bless you and your family too Keith, your videos always surpass my expectations. My favorite line was "i love the Chosen!" eavesdropping from outside, rofl!
The Lutheran could have also said they are the ones that really did schools run by churches well in Germany. Even today, LCMS runs the second largest parochial school system in the US.
I'm a weird combination of the Reformed Baptist, the Presbyterian, and the Christian Nationalist. Missed opportunity to say, "You might be predestined to lose some fingers tomorrow."
Lol, thanks for including the Latter-day Saints. 💛 I really enjoy your channel and always chuckle at your clever videos, and now I'm represented in one of them! 😁 Funny sketch, Foskey. 👏👏
Historical Baptists: Separation of church and state is one of our distinctives. We're literally called Separatists. Modern Baptists: Let's teach civics in our church's Sunday School and the Scriptures in the state-run school system.
Historic Baptists still taught on the role of government as part of their theology. The London Baptist Confession of 1689 has a chapter on civil government; John Gill wrote on it in his Body of Divinity.
That isn't really what separatist were separating from. They were separating from the English church, seeing the work of the Puritans as unable to cleanse the church of its issues. Separatist were more akin to pessimistic Puritans, now perhaps Church/State relations were an issue of some of the Separatist, but that most certainly was not why they were called Separatist.
@@Hadloc411 I don’t think MAMoreno is talking about the separatists who sought to establish state churches independent of the Church of England. He’s talking about Baptists who denied that state churches should exist at all. I’m saying that those Baptists still held that the Bible speaks to the issues of civil governance without calling for state churches.
Please do a skit with denominations and their doppelgangers. PCA and PCUSA, ELCA and Missouri, Episcopal and some conservative Anglican, Universal and global Methodists, Pope Francis and Pope Benedict Catholics....
Eastern Orthodox here and I’m with the Anglican this time! 😄🇬🇧 But if you all play and listen to the 1812 Overture, that’s great, because it’s a celebration of Orthodox monarchist Russia’s defeat of the invading forces of Revolutionary post-Christian France (I am an ally of the Vendée though), simulates shooting the atheists with cannons, and includes holy bell-ringing, “God Save the Tsar,” and our saving hymn, the Troparion of the Cross. There are some variations in the middle vv. but at least in church, it’s “O Lord, save Your people, and bless Your inheritance. Grant victory to the Orthodox Christians, over their adversaries, and by the virtue of Your Cross, preserve Your habitation.” 🇷🇺 The best version I’ve heard is the SynchroScore version on here, because there’s a choir singing the hymn, the cannons are real and PERIOD cannons, and the church bells are real. (Sometimes there are violins instead of choir, tympani instead of cannons, and carillon instead of Russian-type bells.) Strangely though it’s all Swedish people (I’m 1/4 Swedish 😁🇸🇪), in Sweden, using their own church bells and army, and conducted by an Estonian 🇪🇪, but it sounds amazing. Maybe Sweden will become Orthodox. 😁 The founders of the monarchy and Orthodoxy in Russia are actually Swedes, known as Varangians at the time, mainly Sts Olga and Vladimir.
Ouch. I literally got fired from a southern Baptist church because i wouldn't pledge allegiance to the American flag in the middle of Sunday morning worship.
I am the weird Lutheran who feels more in line with the Christian Nationalist guy than the other Lutherans. I just don't say it out loud because I know what happens when they find out. The nail that sticks out gets hammered. 🤣
Haha, very funny! I want you to know, you missed a chance for the Dispensationalist to get his dig in. Around 2:50, when the Christian Nationalist says one day, all the governments of the world will be united under one man, the dispensationalist would respond: "Oh, you mean the Antichrist."
Love your work. Being an Anglican (the ACNA kind) whose family was robbed and run out of the US during the insurrection I can tell you that you have presented my views accurately.
Is the new Sober Anglican in the ACNA? As they think like that!😂 (Note Reformed Anglican (GAFCON, which includes ACNA along with REC, FCE, ECFCE, AMiE, and COH) but with Presbyterian Leanings, and something of a Christian Nationalist, Myself!) PS. Amen, I also pray that my Country (The UK) turns from it's Sins and back to the LORD Jesus Christ.
Interesting fact: There is a legitimate Christian Prince in Europe. He's the Bishop of Urgell and is Co-Prince with The President of France over the country of Andorra.
So, I think instead of Christian Nationalist, it should have been Theonimist? Voddie Bacham has spoken a lot about that term and how it has different definitions
Orthodox: OUR 4th of July comes two weeks later!
*spit take* 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Touche
😂😂😂
KJVO: “I want to party like it’s 1611.”
That would have been funny!
Hilarious. I have family that will, to their dying day I suspect, make snide comments about how I don't preach out of the KJV.
Laughing at the Reformed Baptist guy while I smile at my arsenal. 😂
Yeah, I know him... he's me.
Facts... LOL

I’m glad you recognized that it as time to move on. I hope God lead you to a good church.
I think I’m the Lutheran in this sketch. 😂 The UM showed up, and I was like: 😳
This skit should have had the Mennonite asking “the united what? I thought we are citizens of the kingdom of God?”
I am a Mennonite and I approve this comment.
"That's like the opposite of superior theology." 😆 🤣 😂
The writing in this one was particularly witty. And surprisingly self-aware. I’m impressed
Solid gold. You need an Eastern Orthodox character. You’re missing out on so many jokes.
An Eastern Orthodox character would be great! Big old fake beard!
Just came here to comment, I scrolled past this video and my young kiddo called out "Keif Fosky!" With the same energy and excitement as they yell "Blippi!"
@@origamikiddo2625 🥰 love it!
Reformed Baptist here.
Gonna be eating steak, open carrying, all with family 👍 🇺🇸
The "Reformed Baptist" is a parody of/tribute to James White. And I'm here for it!
Going to bed for the last time with ten fingers - love it.
The Mormon; “hey I love the chosen!”😂😂
@7YearOrthodoxCatechumen-rv2mu I’m assuming you’re saying Oi there, so. Hey
That Prince joke was hilarious. Definitely in character for the United Methodist. Also liked the Catholic accent, which threw me for a loop. I always imagine the stereotypical Catholic accent to be a thick Chicago accent. Great video as always, Pastor Keith! Happy Independence Day.
Happy Independence Day for as long as we can still keep these freedoms.
Wonderful sketch! Thanks for including us Anglicans (even if July 4 isn't our favorite holiday 😂)
This was great.
Have a Happy 4th of July everybody 🎆🎇🎆
Edit: Except the united Methodist you go in a corner and think about what you did 😅
Happy Fourth from LCMS, pastor.
Back at ya from an LCMS member!
@@pitsnipe5559 And same to you!
Happy Fourth from the PCA. God bless our LCMS brothers.
Happy Forth also from a LCMS member!
Also LCMS here. God bless you and yours.
Happy independence from us Orthodox! Axios!
your hilarious videos have become a breath of fresh air in my theological news cycle
I love the reformed Baptist. He is me…and I am him.
“Hey I love The Chosen” hahaha 😂😂 from a Mormon no less.
How long until the denomination meeting where the UMC walks into the GMC 😂😂😂
"The blessings and benefits of the Second Amendment" Amen.
Happy 4th from an Anglican who doesn’t think the Revolution was a mistake! 😁
You are a genus comedic talent! Thank you for all your hard work to brighten our day!
Amen!
Nailed it with the Methodist as usual. God bless you brother. Ima have to start calling out my church cuz im Pentecostal and we don’t do none of that stuff in most of our services.
Happy 4th! This is hilarious 😂. God bless you Pastor.
Party like it's 1517! That's what I'm talkin' about, baby!!!!!!
That OUTRO was some solid Superior Theology!
God bless you and your family too Keith, your videos always surpass my expectations.
My favorite line was "i love the Chosen!" eavesdropping from outside, rofl!
Very nice. As an Anabaptist, this one skit that I feel good about being overlooked.
Really funny video. I loved the mormonism and The Chosen reference 😂😂
In Lutheranism, our civics lesson is Romans 13, the Pharisees asking Jesus about paying taxes, and Luther’s 2 Kingdom’s philosophy based on the bible.
Yes, as long a it aligns with scripture, otherwise Acts 5: 29f "we must obey God rather than men.
You never disappoint
Happy Independence Day everyone!
Happy 4th!
That was a good skit. Love the "all 10 fingers" joke at the end too
Didn't think it was a joke.
I’m 90% presby and 10% reformed Baptist. The 10% is chambered in 5.56
Lol. I hadn't thought of it that way. I guess I'm a denominational mutt, too.
🤣🤣
That was hilarious! Dispensationalist guy had had me laughing hard ! Great video happy 4th of July everyone!
The Lutheran could have also said they are the ones that really did schools run by churches well in Germany. Even today, LCMS runs the second largest parochial school system in the US.
How’d I miss this video? Great job with lots of ironic and funny content Keith👍
Happy 4th of July
Happy 4th of July! 💜🙏✝️
I'm actually a big fan of the Biblical Citizenship class, but not on Sunday morning. That's more of a Wednesday night thing, IMHO. Great video!
I'm a weird combination of the Reformed Baptist, the Presbyterian, and the Christian Nationalist.
Missed opportunity to say, "You might be predestined to lose some fingers tomorrow."
That's really not a weird combo.
Me too man. I’m a Lex Rex, Historic Premil, Credo-Baptist😂
This is your funniest sketch by far
I’m glad to see more Catholic representation in your videos, and hopefully we’ll see eastern orthodox too.
As a fellow American Catholic, I’m gonna let you know that the American flag is 3/4 Polish.
Lol, thanks for including the Latter-day Saints. 💛 I really enjoy your channel and always chuckle at your clever videos, and now I'm represented in one of them! 😁 Funny sketch, Foskey. 👏👏
Aw, we Mormons finally got a shout out. Thanks!
As an Anabaptist, I just shake my head. And THEN laugh...
As a reformed Baptist it is on point

Is that Dispy wearing a Steve Lawson uniform?
Thanks for bringing laughter and smiles! God Bless you!
Lutheran guy always win!... As he should.
We need the real representation of Lutherans, a tatted up female pastor.
Great stuff!
The reformed Baptist got me 😂
Well done. Well said. Amen
Still praying for a Seventh Day Adventist inclusion.
Happy fourth to you! 🥳
God bless you brother. Happy 4th

Great stuff as always Keith!
This is pure gold.
Thanks! That was fun😂
I didn't know how Presby I was even though my big eva DOES have its own school... lol
oh man... that big eva one brought back some bad memories of calvary chapel schools.
The Anglican was spot on. xD Not personally an Anglican, but I have many friends who are.
I'm giving you a thumbs up while I still have them to give, lol!
Love your video skits ❤. And yes,
GO BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 happy 4th 🇺🇸
Kid you not. Saw a church video where the congregation sang “God Bless the USA” with a cross on stage festooned with the American Flag.

Hey could your next sermon include a bit of Psalm 23:4 I like that verse
The Orthodox representative was notably absent due to being chained in a Soviet gulag due to “unpatriotic and anti proletariat tendencies”
LOVE IT!!!
Happy Indepence Day!
Funny stuff. I am a citizen of Heaven first. Then Texas And after that Texas. Then America....I guess.

Did we hear from any Pentecostals?
Lutheran theology, two kingdoms, keep the state out of the church. It has no place there.
Christ is the ultimate king.
The role of the state is to protect its citizens. The role of the church is to spread the Gospel.
Can you please add Wesleyan in these videos
