You are on the right track! She did take them to her world. It's a bit subtle on the reason why, but it's expressed in the song and along with the little thought bubbles they show. Each of them had something brining them down that's hard for them to recon. She takes children Away from their misery and brings them to a place where others like them thrive and heal from their "wounds". It's a more sweeter play on the normally dark adaptation of Edgar Allan Poes poem (Which Tom owns in his book under his pillow). They knew of her existence, but everyone imagined her ask the darker adaptation, except for Tom. Thats why Tom was so inclined to go up to her. He believed she had good intentions (unlike what others say) and believes she could help him (and his friends) to heal their "wounds".

It's a world i made up based around this song. This song is normally pictured as a dark poem, but i wanted to try switching it up a bit with some added Eddsworld flare. In this world, that poem is a legend. A legend that everyone feared. Parents will tell their children about (and alter it at times) to keep them from misbehaving and used to keep them appearing "not happy" they tell them if they aren't that she'll take them to their death basically. One child who possessed the book the poem originated, and sees sups supposing "children taker" in a different light. He saw her as someone who rescues kids, not a killer. He believed in that strongly, the boy is Tom (In the video you can see the book under his pillow). On that night when sleeping over with his friends at Edds house to be awoken to her arrival. Tom was the 1st to approach her, he wasnt afraid. She sung how she'll take them away from their problems and miseries, and take them to a place to heal from the "wounds" their life gave them. All 4 boys had wounds to be healed. Edd: he laughs and pretend like he's happy, but doesn't truly feel happy, but scared to reveal it. Matt: never feels good enough. Tord: is scared from horid scenes hes seen growing up that create strong anxiety and fear towards everyone and himself. Tom: the pain of loosing his father who he looked up too, and being stuck with a disrespectful, aggressive distance relative taking care of him and his mother. They all need healing and Tom knew she was the one to trust. Adventually they all became to trust in her too and walked with the her on the enchanted past. Getting away from what degrades them and in hope she'll be able help heal them all. (Sorry for the LONG explanation. 😅)
