- A woman in Laos was arrested last week on charges of defaming the country after she posted criticism on Facebook of the slow government response to severe floods in the country’s southern provinces, sources say.

Floodings allow for crop (of rice); if those floods are decreased, reliance to food supply might increase attracting an unknown count of even more 'rich government/managment people'.
In first place I agree with the advantage of a helicopter to a luxury car in such areas.

Laos is poor as hell. Has debts. I dont blame the government at all. Some... No actually a lot of people in laos volunteer. They dont get paid for years. 3 to 6 years no pay and when they do, 30 bucks per month now has become 15. TH-camrs make more money in Laos and they dont pay taxes. If they do, they put in the least. Sigh'
