I prefer the black wheels for sure and maybe the bumpers will look nice painted in black as well. You’ve done an amazing work . The truck sections of your videos get more and more exiting. Nice to see your face when riding the truck . You certainly sleep well at night after all you’ve achieved. Awesome 👏Thank you Nigel for sharing this adventure.

Wow! What a beautiful truck! I am 70 years old now and I drove stick shift for 41 years. I remember learning to drive on my father's '68 Buick coupe! ( it was automatic, but my first car was an early 1960's Buick Opel, stick shift ). Only bought an automatic car in 2000 because my knees were giving me trouble. Loved driving the car, not the car driving me!! Good luck with your overhaul project. Rims, bumpers, side mirrors and grill should all be black. Only the body should be red!! Stay well and God Bless!

Thanks for the past few years that I've been watching. It's been a pleasant surprise to see how much your Canadian climate as in common with mine in Sweden, makes it even more relatable and enjoyable. Started a few bonsais myself, some survived some didn't, very different from regular farming yet a lot of specialized knowledge and techniques that I can learn and apply to other areas, especially with growing apple trees.
Spruce shoots are a favourite of mine, I pick a lot during the early summers, a taste reminiscent of rosemary for those who haven't tasted.
I appreciate how you started put your orchard truck project at the end of the videos, some days I'm interested, some days I just want to see bonsai trees.

The black wheels look b****in! Your larch forest inspired me to buy little larch seedlings from Sask. and is now planted in my garden. I figure I’ll give them a couple of years growing in the ground before I make a forest, i.e. if I have the patience to wait that long! They’ve really growing well in the ground. I collected little maple seedlings from my garden and put them in the house. The first day I put them outside, the chipmunks ate up all the leaves on two of the trees and back they went into the house!

      I found this....
      Tamarack Trees as Food:
The tender spring shoots are nutritious, and can be eaten when they are boiled. The inner bark (cambium layer) of the tamarack tree can also be scraped, dried and ground into a meal to be mixed with other flours… which some references indicate is an ‘acquired’ taste (Peterson 1977), while other references imply the gummy sap that seeps from the tree has a very good flavor when chewed (Hutchens 1973), as sweet as maple sugar.

The rabbits have been watching my videos, they pruned up a Birch tree a couple of days ago. They defoliated the tree and then pruned it down to the basic structure of a stick. I think with a bit more training, I'll be able to put the trees down on the ground at night and then come back in the morning with all the work done!

The turntable has been amazing Adrian, it's so nice to be able to spin large forest's around! It's taken everything I've thrown at it!
      Thanks again!
