I have Prada L’homme and love it so I’ve gone to my local boutique to test the various iterations of the PLR line, BUT (lol)… every goddsmn time I go, I spray them in several spots on my skin and there’s like 4 variants so my nose just gets overloaded and blows Tf up snd I csnt tell the difference or even smell any of them 😂😂 Was curious if you have any exp in this realm lmao
Rock star battle. They are all soo great. Personally I grew to really fall in love with NR Blue Noir parfum for 1st, Prada 2nd and DHI 3rd. It’s crazy how many iris forward scents have come out over the years. There’s fresh and clean iris, and powdery and waxy iris .
See the original Uomo edt to me smells more like chocolate to me but I’ve heard the newer bottle and batches are less chocolate and more iris. But anyway these videos vs battles are all chosen by subscribers not by myself personally and it’s a max of 3 fragrances. With that said these 3 fragrances are so similar to each other it makes sense and I could see valentino Uomo intense added to the list as it’s also very similar but the gentleman and code Parfum don’t fit. Yes they are iris frags but I think the reason the subscriber picked these three is because they are constantly compared to each other. I also have to own the fragrances and I don’t own gentleman edt or armani code Parfum as they are not my style. At some point down the road I’ll prob do a top 5 or top 10 iris fragrances and add them in.

I’d agree that bleu noir takes a blue spin and navigates away from the other 2 and valentino Uomo intense woulda prob been a closer choice but dior Homme intense and prada lhomme intense I’ve heard compared hundreds of times before I even purchased them. Yes they still are a bit different for sure but as far as comparisons if I owned one of them before the other and did a first impression of the second one I would immediately compare them. Just as I would compare Missoni wave and versace pour Homme and chanel allure Homme. But to each his own I guess. I knew the prada would be most peoples favorites
Here in Germany the Dior is one of the most popular scents in the parfum community. But I'm not a big fan. To me it smells too musty. In German "muffig". The Narciso is a not as dark. I like it more and my wife loves it. As I said, the Prada smells completely different to me.
From this list I go Prada, Blue Noir Parfum, DHI. I just feel at this point DHI has been changed and reformulated so many times, it's just not what it was. I'd rather wear more modern iris scents like Reserve Prive, Blue Noir Parfum, & Caron's Pour Un Homme De Caron Le Soir.
Givenchy GRP is like a more boozy D&G The One EDP for the first 60-90 minutes, then during the transition phase the booziness gets replaced *in part* by a slightly powdery note that _begins_ to crescendo. Then at about the 80-100 minute mark and for the remainder of the dry down, GGRP comes off as a 50/35/15 hybrid of D&G The One EDP/DHI/______. At this point the forefront of the scent is primarily a “warm” type of amber bourbon profile backed up onto a strong foundation of iris; HOWEVER - this iris is different/akin to DHI in that it is more soft and _butteerryyyy_ with a hint of lipstick, almost like this soft sweet honey flower. It’s weird that you don’t like DHI because the dry down is 70% of the fragrance, so considering GGRP smells like a more ambery/boozy DHI for 70% of the time, maybe give it another shot? Another thing to consider if you take me up on my thoughts haha; when I first got my DHI I was worried as the opening was very “alcoholy” (if that makes sense) and it lasted 20-30min which also slightly affected the dry down. I sprayed it about 15-20 times/day for 2 days and left the cap off while storing in a dark and dry mild/cool room. I did this because I discovered that when I first got DHI and sprayed it on the inside of my elbow, one elbow that was constantly folded (holding my phone) maintained the alcohol smell for hours, whilst the elbow that was exposed turned into beautiful DHI within 22-30min. This lead me to some google searches which in turn lead me to discover “fragrance maceration”. Normally I’d call BS on this 1000% lol 😂, but I had legit proof that happened to me in real time, right under my damn nose! The “alcoholy” elbow crook was hidden from oxygen while the other was exposed to it! Thus, I sprayed a bunch of DHI to make a tiny bit of room in the bottle and stored it in an ideal environment (you can still use it btw haha) with the cap off for the first week, and WOW! What. A. Difference!! My theory is that something went wrong in the logistics process and this batch wasn’t macerated by the designer; I actually found a Reddit post with someone discussing this issue with the same batch code on accident lol. Again, I normally call BS 10/10 times on sfuff like this, but I had proved it to myself before I even knew what the hell it was lol!! Anyways, sorry for the Fkn novel I just wrote lol, I just get really excited about this stuff 😅😅 Maybe give it another shot and let me know how it goes if you do!! Also (last thing I swear 😭😭) I’m looking for new fragrance and I’m curious if maybe you have some recommendations! I want something either loud (LOUD!!! haha) and playboy-esque; I already have Eros and absolutely love it, and I know JPG/1million are good for this and I’ll likely end up picking them up if I don’t find anything else, but I’d like something more unique! The other option would be a fragrance similar to some from the Tom Ford line or perhaps Mancera. Okay thanks man! And sorry again at the same time ahahah Cheers m8

I love all 3. NR Bleu Noir Parfum is the "freshie" slightly more versatile, but PLHI AND DHP are pretty much equal for me. Gentleman EDP is in the same realm for me 1ABC and D for me.
See I put valentino Uomo intense and gentleman EDP at 4 and 5 even tho they are similar I’m not the biggest fan of the gentleman EDP I prefer the boisee

I had the Prada intense 22WD1CN and it was sooo Good, now i bought the 22X41CC. And What the hell? How is the new one so bad? I dont understand, can anyone else relate or is it just me? Sort of feels like they legit just removed the iris and powdery scents and now theres just a horrible heavy leather smell
I don’t pay attention to batches of fragrances but I had one from 4 years ago and one from late 2022 and both smelled and lasted the same for me. Of all the times I’ve talked about PLI it’s been about 99% positive feedback about it in the past year with maybe a couple who weren’t at the love stage. I get leather in mine but not overwhelming
I own both and they are sitting in my fragrance cabinet collecting dust. The iris is just obnoxious I blind bought them years ago after hearing all the hype from Jeremy Big beard gent scents and a few others. They both made great fragrances with great performance and projection but again the Iris is more than I can handle
Prada l'homme intense is way better. Dior reminds me of lipstick. We are on the same page today 😂. Althaïr is my shit and it is so natural love it. Mercedes does not even come close
DHI is the greatest 10/10 masterpiece. You should have added Valentino Uomo Intense to the vs
I only do vs battles based on what people ask and what I own and I have smelled VUI but don’t own it. But woulda been a good addition if they asked

See I don’t like reserve prive and haven’t since I got it in I much more prefer boisee in that line. The Caron I haven’t tried tho.
