  • This is a very detailed instructional video on how to use the VEVOR drill sharpener MR-13B. This mostly works for the MR-13A and MR-20G.

Why don't any of the many reviewers of this machine sharpen a small drill? Large drills are easily sharpened on a bench grinder, it's the small drills that are difficult.

This tool only does bits down to 2 mm in diameter, so it can't do very small drill bits anyways. I was able to sharpen all sorts of sizes within its specified range, though (2-15mm)

I bought the model B. I could not remove one of the two small pins on the web thinning/point splitting hole even using pliers. The pin had obviously been hammered in since its top was peened over. After some time, Vevor customer service recommended removing it with tweezers! I finally removed by heating with a small torch and using vise grips to pull it out. Very difficult. The supplied pins are soft steel and I’m sure the difficult one was bent and pounded in. I replaced them with polished 3mm hard stainless pins that I made my self. Suggesting tweezers was ridiculous. The tool does work very well but I hope I don’t have to contact customer service again.

Why was my comment removed? My Drill Doctor DD750X Will sharpen bits up to 3/16" to 3/4" for half the price of vevor.

Just purchased this on Amazon so awaiting delivery. I purchased the model B. My question is, would purchasing larger and smaller elastic collets on Amazon work with this machine?

The largest ER20 collet is 13mm so you cannot buy any larger than that. However you can buy smaller than 3mm (2mm or 1mm) but your 2mm drill bit might not be long enough to reach the grinding wheel. If it reaches then it might snap when grinding that thin drill bit.

@@eniregnat Copy that, I appreciate it. I was going to more experience version but backed out last second. Going to need larger ones in the future. I'm learning free hand but it's a journey!

Hey mate , how many minutes would it take you to sharpen per drill bit if you sat down and did a few different sizes? 3 minutes if you were in a rhythm? Including setup

It goes fast once you know how to do it, and I'd assume faster if you were "in the zone." In the one part of the video, I did all the steps in about a minute? Switching collets takes the most time, probably.

Absolutely! You go mate! There's always some people that like using an axe instead of a chainsaw! So you like doing it the long way, good on you! Oh, you forgot to mention that you need to add the cost of a grinding wheel & motor that has the guard removed that's usually setup permanently?
