This is why I love driver centric interiors that the Supra, Corvette C7, and NSX have. The passenger doesn't have access to jack shit, and even if they did, none of it is facing them lol. We have a big ol barrier that walls them off.

Let my friend drive my 86 300zx 5 speed. He proceeded to rev out every single gear. Up to 3rd where he stayed driving it at 3.5-4k rpms. Also tried “engine braking” by downshifting to second while going 25-30 mph. No rev matching either. Just dumped the clutch and slammed the rpms up to redline. Love the guy but god damn man 😤
But they wouldn't be neccessary if people would be more careful. Sure, I won't deny that there are too many speedbumps. But they were installed because there were too many high-speed accidents there. - That's usually why laws are created. - Speed limits weren't always a thing, but people couldn't drive in a safe speed, so it had to be introduced. ...and so on.
I don’t mind speed humps as long as they’re not as tall as Mount Everest. And they have to be visible too. I hate the dark humps that are invisible and you end up flying because you don’t see it.
@@angelgjr1999 Yes, white stripes or squares is preferred to have them painted in. We use a square tile here to make them unique, and stand out. Plus there should also be a sign warning about speed bumps. - They are meant to be visible, otherwise they don't really do any good job.
8:45 This is my rule and this is a relief. I'm glad that someone else had this, so it's not just me. I was starting to feel bad for being strict about it. I also had another thing, people grabbing the roof of my car to get in and out of it (They weren't elderly). They left permanent finger prints on it. I probably could've done something about it but it's too late now. I don't have/want anything fancy or expensive. Just a point A to B car, but I still take care of that car as if it were a nice looking car. Wash it, vacuum, and check if everything still working. I know what to do for my next car if I get one.
@@th3ch33t Why would I risk ruining my pushrod's reliability like that? It's my daily. A Flat Plane fires at 180 crankshaft rotation vs. A Cross Plane which fires every 90 degrees. And easier method I ended doing was using 180 headers which make a 90 degree cross plane "mimic the sound" as if the car were firing at 180 degrees, without having to swap out the actual crankshaft and potentially screw the engine over. The only "downside" is 180 headers don't fix the pushrod's low RPM redline. However, even if I went Flat Plane, my Pushrod still won't rev past 7500. I'd have to ALSO do Overhead Cams, specially Dual Overheads, if I want my car to rev over 8K like a Ferrari. So in conclusion. I'd have to Flat Plane Swap, and Dual Overhead to get "true" ferrari sound. It'd probably be cheaper to just source a 360 Modena engine from a crashed Ferrari at that point 😂. I didn't have time for that, so I just settled for headers. As one of my Instagram followers put it, "Your car sounds like a girl speaking Italian with an American Accent". My Corvette now has this half breed of exotic and muscle sound now. It's unqiue.
I live in Carmel, and I can personally testify that the roundabout speedbumps are complete b.s.. It's hard to get through downtown Carmel without nearly rear ending somebody, because EVERYBODY leaving and entering the roundabout is constantly braking. My Volkswagen CC's brake pads are wearing down faster than my faith in our state's ability to fix our roads. Another great video Bladed!
Jack Hamilton i live in Carmel as well and i was almost in an accident the other day cause, not one but two people stopped in the middle of the roundabout on Rangeline and 126th and i almost wedged in between them. I complain about them literally every day. Also wtf is with the two random speed bumps that are on Rangeline just past Kroger?! I feel like thats gonna get someone killed one day.
That's the boring and more predictable solution. And more expensive 😂 It's all about getting a right set of headers to balance out the cross plane sound, so the exhaust scavenges evenly like a flat plane.

Was a 2017 model still on sale from 2019. They were using it as a demo car for 2 years since no one could afford the damn thing out in Indiana.
The last entry really hit home for me. My Dad is a Co-Owner of my Saab 9-3 Aero (lower insurance and such) but whenever I give it to him when his other cars are out, I see a total nightmare. I once found Tomato Slice and lettuce from like a Big Mac under the Drivers seat. My dad had been using my car for a few months after I started working (parking isn't free anywhere I work) on a construction firm. He had pieces of wood in my backseat, grimed up all of my interior with dirt, left empty soda cans and worst of all... Books from my football team's rival in my trunk. Lots of them too. The funniest thing about this is that I have literally everything for cleaning the inside of my car in my trunk. Interior wipes, textile cleaning solution, like 10 microfiber rags, windshield cleaner and probably some more things.

Where I live in Sweden, a lot of smaller roundabouts have speed bumps cause the whole can't speed thru roundabout thing doesn't apply. The way the geniuses built them is that a flower is surrounded by rocks wich while they do create a round form they're not impossible to drive over. Sure it will get bumpy but at 100 km/h you will definitely not damage the car. I don't know why I wrote an essay, but I did

I feel like I want to share this little story with you guys.. So, I live in Asia. And here manual cars are very common because they're a lot cheaper than A/T cars. But whenever I drive my dad, he would always "complaint" (he just want to teach, but sounded like complaining lol) about me, not being a smooth driver, especially when changing gears. So, I trained so hard to the point where 98% (exaggeration lol) of the time, you can hardly feel imperfection to the clutch/gas/brake ratio when changing gears. My cousin was amazed, my brother was amazed. But, my dad still somehow have something to complaint about. I tried to perfect my steering so the car (a large MPV) wouldn't wobble. He rarely complain now, but then I realized that.. He's not even that smooth of a driver... I basicallh suprasses him I that regard.. I mean, asian parents. They're more proud of their children than themselves lmao Anyway, my dad is amazing, and I'm thankful now that I can drive very smoothly lmaoo.

I'm based in Ireland, there are speedbumps going onto roundabouts, but usually they'll be slow lanes onto roundabouts, so, if there's a city road joining a roundabout where the priority exits (in Ireland that's to our right) are a higher speedlimit like an N-Road, the city road will have a pedestrian crossing/speedbump while the N-Road entrance might just have dipped curbs for pedestrians. I'd say that's good design though because if you're coming off an N-Road, you're more likely to approach the roundabout in a higher gear and people ALWAYS forget priority at a roundabout comes from oncoming traffic, never you.
I can relate to the other drivers trying to initiate a conversation with me, I drive a S15 Silvia in eastern Canada, and people react to the car being obviously right hand drive

I erased my presence once from the driver. I spoke once halfway on or trip and he got so spooked he said he will call the police. I guess I should have asked for a ride first, and my black hoodie and ski mask weren't very convincing either. Shame.
I love empty roundabouts, going down to 2nd gear at 30-40kmh (20-25mph), turning slightly right, flooring it and feeling and hearing all 60 horsepower while turning left and then right again to exit the roundabout. Having the tires scream, seeing the traction control light come on. Quickly shifting to 3rd before hitting redline (50kmh/30mph), and then casually continuing my way because there's a speed camera a few miles further. (Edit; actually calculated mph instead of guestimating)

As a car guy who hates anything that was lowered other than for track purposes, my pet peeve is driving behind any car that has been lowered because, while they normally could take that speed bump at 3-4 mph, or turn into that driveway at 5-6 mph, they instead have to do the 0.25 mph, 45 degree angle shit. It's like...yayyyy, I get to wait because YOU modified your car! Thanks, broski!

My biggest pet peeve is when you have a Bluetooth head unit and everyone thinks they're automatically entitled to just connect to it when they get in. Like no, we're gonna listen to the Tokyo Drift soundtrack. No exceptions.
In my area we have a strip of road with 3 roundabouts. There's a traffic light before and after EACH roundabout (for pedestrians), but these cause major traffic jams when there shouldn't be any in the first place thanks to the roundabouts.
Last one really reminds me of one time when my young siblings weren't paying attention to a sauce and spilled a little on my sweater( old and did care about it) and my car seat which I told them they had to clean up they thankfully did after, also to add if it's your car and your driving someone else don't make fun or criticize what music they listen to it's supposed to keep they happy and calm if you disrespect there music you just make them angry and they won't drive you again or will make you pay a for driving you now

I freaking HATE roundabouts with more than 1 lane in the center. According to the signs, both lanes are supposed to be able to exit right, but only the left is supposed to continue around. However there is no barrier preventing right lane from going around and I've nearly been hit once because the person in the right lane ignored the signs.
I was driving earlier to break in my new clutch and I went down a straight road. Some jackass went to pass a car when he didn’t have enough room. So I had 2 cars coming at me head on blocking both lanes so I had to swerve off the road into the grass. There is one thing that irritates me when I drive. Everyone wants to crash into me!!!
Service stickers help the people working in shops find out what needs to be done to your car the next time it comes in like miles you have on a oil change to see if you have came in early or late to get your oil changed, but I do agree with you there should only be one sticker
I've had to deal with idiotic roundabouts before. I live in Bend, Oregon which is pretty much made of roundabouts and obviously some out of staters really piss us locals off but when I'm in another state for example I was in Louisville KY last December, the put a stop sign in a roundabout. A STOP SIGN.

3.X pipe exhaust

@@SteveOnlin With options, the Vette was almost $100K. I only got it for like $62K lol. You'd be surprised how you can find some brand new cars collecting dust in the midwest. Was a 2017 model still on sale from 2019. They were using it as a demo car for 2 years since no one could afford the damn thing out in Indiana.
The last entry really hit home for me.
My Dad is a Co-Owner of my Saab 9-3 Aero (lower insurance and such) but whenever I give it to him when his other cars are out, I see a total nightmare. I once found Tomato Slice and lettuce from like a Big Mac under the Drivers seat. It isn't even that he makes mess, but he doesn't care to clean it when I clearly put a lot of work into it- That Saab is cleaner than I AM.

My dad had been using my car for a few months after I started working (parking isn't free anywhere I work) on a construction firm. He had pieces of wood in my backseat, grimed up all of my interior with dirt, left empty soda cans and worst of all... Books from my football team's rival in my trunk. Lots of them too. The funniest thing about this is that I have literally everything for cleaning the inside of my car in my trunk. Interior wipes, textile cleaning solution, like 10 microfiber rags, windshield cleaner and probably some more things.

Where I live in Sweden, a lot of smaller roundabouts have speed bumps cause the whole can't speed thru roundabout thing doesn't apply. The way the geniuses built them is that a flower is surrounded by rocks wich while they do create a round form they're not impossible to drive over. Sure it will get bumpy but at 100 km/h you will definitely not damage the car. I don't know why I wrote an essay, but I did

The clean car part is so true , I keep my care spotless I detail it every other day when I can and vacuum the interior and keep it smelling clean and for the most part all my friends respect and keep it clean ,but my sister holy crap her car always looks like a landfill and the few times I drove her car it just puts me in a bad mood lol
I feel like I want to share this little story with you guys..
So, I live in Asia. And here manual cars are very common because they're a lot cheaper than A/T cars. But whenever I drive my dad, he would always "complaint" (he just want to teach, but sounded like complaining lol) about me, not being a smooth driver, especially when changing gears.
So, I trained so hard to the point where 98% (exaggeration lol) of the time, you can hardly feel imperfection to the clutch/gas/brake ratio when changing gears. My cousin was amazed, my brother was amazed. But, my dad still somehow have something to complaint about.
I tried to perfect my steering so the car (a large MPV) wouldn't wobble. He rarely complain now, but then I realized that..
He's not even that smooth of a driver... I basicallh suprasses him I that regard..
I mean, asian parents. They're more proud of their children than themselves lmao
Anyway, my dad is amazing, and I'm thankful now that I can drive very smoothly lmaoo.

In New Jersey there’s roundabouts that the middle yield to the people coming into the roundabout. There’s also some with stop signs

I'm based in Ireland, there are speedbumps going onto roundabouts, but usually they'll be slow lanes onto roundabouts, so, if there's a city road joining a roundabout where the priority exits (in Ireland that's to our right) are a higher speedlimit like an N-Road, the city road will have a pedestrian crossing/speedbump while the N-Road entrance might just have dipped curbs for pedestrians. I'd say that's good design though because if you're coming off an N-Road, you're more likely to approach the roundabout in a higher gear and people ALWAYS forget priority at a roundabout comes from oncoming traffic, never you.
I can relate to the other drivers trying to initiate a conversation with me, I drive a S15 Silvia in eastern Canada, and people react to the car being obviously right hand drive

I erased my presence once from the driver. I spoke once halfway on or trip and he got so spooked he said he will call the police. I guess I should have asked for a ride first, and my black hoodie and ski mask weren't very convincing either. Shame.

I love empty roundabouts, going down to 2nd gear at 30-40kmh (20-25mph), turning slightly right, flooring it and feeling and hearing all 60 horsepower while turning left and then right again to exit the roundabout. Having the tires scream, seeing the traction control light come on. Quickly shifting to 3rd before hitting redline (50kmh/30mph), and then casually continuing my way because there's a speed camera a few miles further.

As a car guy who hates anything that was lowered other than for track purposes, my pet peeve is driving behind any car that has been lowered because, while they normally could take that speed bump at 3-4 mph, or turn into that driveway at 5-6 mph, they instead have to do the 0.25 mph, 45 degree angle shit.

In my area we have a strip of road with 3 roundabouts. There's a traffic light before and after EACH roundabout (for pedestrians), but these cause major traffic jams when there shouldn't be any in the first place thanks to the roundabouts.

I freaking HATE roundabouts with more than 1 lane in the center. According to the signs, both lanes are supposed to be able to exit right, but only the left is supposed to continue around. However there is no barrier preventing right lane from going around and I've nearly been hit once because the person in the right lane ignored the signs.
That's the first time I've heard of a roundabout having speedbumps.

I was driving earlier to break in my new clutch and I went down a straight road. Some jackass went to pass a car when he didn’t have enough room. So I had 2 cars coming at me head on blocking both lanes so I had to swerve off the road into the grass. There is one thing that irritates me when I drive. Everyone wants to crash into me!!!
Service stickers help the people working in shops find out what needs to be done to your car the next time it comes in like miles you have on a oil change to see if you have came in early or late to get your oil changed, but I do agree with you there should only be one sticker

I've had to deal with idiotic roundabouts before. I live in Bend, Oregon which is pretty much made of roundabouts and obviously some out of staters really piss us locals off but when I'm in another state for example I was in Louisville KY last December, the put a stop sign in a roundabout. A STOP SIGN.

Speed cameras at the entrance to roundabouts would be a MUCH better idea than speed bumps - that’s absolutely insane that they’d do that.
The whole point of roundabouts is to drift around it because the traffic is so slow due to speed bumps.
