    Even Staios is tired of Bruce...

      Tough to answer that, Bruce 😂

      I can’t STAND the guy. Have you ever read any of his articles for The Sun? They’re AWFUL. Pretty much every paragraph has at least one spelling or grammar mistake. He’s too lazy to proofread his work before he posts it. And apparently the editors there don’t care to keep an eye on him either. Lazy and unprofessional.
      Look, I make typos all the time. People make mistakes. But I’m just some random arse whole on TH-cam. I don’t get paid to write. And if I was as sloppy and careless at my job as Bruce is at his, I’d be unemployed.
      Also, he always asks those annoying leading questions where the answer is in the question , and he just basically wants the subject to tell him he’s right. Questions like, “Steve, was it important for you to solidify the goaltending this Summer?” Like, what do YOU think, Bruce? Obviously, yes. 🤦🏻‍♂️

      @@DizzyDez613 He's a remnant from the old regime who was a mouthpiece for Dorion so he could negotiate through the media. Now that that's over, he has no purpose and clearly doesn't have the motivation (or ability) to adapt and find a new one. I guess Staios and Andlauer figure he's harmless and that's the reason why he hasn't been barred from these media scrums. We know The Sun won't fire him because that's how little he matters - they'll die out with all the boomers who still read that garbage I guess.

      Too early to jump to that conclusion. I liked this trade but he also:
      -got fleeced with Tarasenko
      -took too long to fire DJ Smith
      -Hasn't signed Pinto yet
      -Hired the worst possible coach available

    • @SceptileSlash
      @SceptileSlash 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@FFSRayy Dude what? He hit on the bet he made with Senko winning another cup, he took literally one month to fire DJ Smith after he came on (idk why you were expecting him to immediately pull the trigger on that before he knew what he was dealing with), he has the rest of the summer to sign Pinto, and you've never seen Green behind the Ottawa bench while every expert out there says he has a lot of potential.
      How about you have the worst possible takes about the team?

    • @FFSRayy
      @FFSRayy 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@SceptileSlash I've simply been past my breaking point with the team this season. I'm going into my 4th year of uni and the last time Ottawa made the playoffs was in 8th grade.
      1. I fail to understand how we couldnt at least get a late 1st or depth players from florida instead of 2 players that might never see NHL games.
      2. There were some really shitty performances in that month which DJ should've gotten canned for.
      3. The franchise is holding out signing the young player evidently on the rise AGAIN.
      4. A career .473 coach is the last thing this team needs right now, let alone locking him uo for 4 YEARS. Stanley cup winning Claude Julien was asking for the job at his interviews.

  • @DizzyDez613

    I think the biggest factor regarding moving up or down in the draft is that teams probably want to see what happens first. I’ll use Calgary and Iginla as an example. If Iginla is still available when Ottawa is on the clock for pick 7th, and Staios believes “his guy” is still gonna be there at 9th, THATS when you’ll see the trades.
    I don’t think many teams are gonna move draft picks for other draft picks until they have a sense of what’s available. Some people think a guy like Silayev could fall to 10th or something. So if you’re a GM, and you thought that player was gonna be gone in the top 5, but he’s available at 10, you might go very aggressive to move up to 10 from a lower position. You’d be thinking, “Holy shit, he fell into our laps. We HAVE to get him.” I think a few GMs could fall victim to that instead of just taking best player available.

  • @1nsertCleverNameHere
    @1nsertCleverNameHere 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

    Don't worry about Chych. If he shits the bed, you ship him off come trade deadline. The biggest problem is paying both Sandy and Chab 8M, when only one of them is and will continue to play at an 8M level, whereas the other is on a major decline. Hate Brucie, but he's right about Chab being available. Get that $$$ off of the books even if it costs us a '24 draft pick. It's the only logical, next move for which he can make, outside of signing Pinto.

      @@ericsummers1230 Chabot hasn't played more than 71 games in any season during his 7 years career with the Sens. He is not worth his pricetag at $8M. We could use that money to get players we need to fill holes at other positions.

    • @djashes
      @djashes 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @sachinruparelia he's probably not worth 8 mil right now ill agree on that. But if you get rid of him you need to plug that hole with a guy worth at least 6 mil. And if he's worth 6 mil and available he's probably gonna go for 7 mil. So we save 1 mil on a player? I dunno it sounds like we could make better moves. Chabot is good when he's not injured.
