A cosplay tutorial channel that is 100% knowledge and 0% cringe? I'm in!
Oh cringe is there, just left off camera :D
I know wich Channel you are talking about bro :D
What cringe?
You and your videos really wiped my fear of how complicated LED lighting for a project could be. Thanks ❤
Awesome, I hope to see a bunch of cool LED projects :P :D
Mate, it's criminal how your channel has so little views!
Your build and guides are straight to the point and bloody amazing!
This is so helpful it's not even funny.
I gotta show this to all of my cos friends, thanks for making this video Zibartas!
Sir, I have seen only like 3 videos of you buy I must inform you that you have won yourself a new subscriber!
Oh man, you're a life saver since i'm pretty close to LED part of my "PROJECT: Lucian" and i was getting my ass ready to be kicked by getting near all the LED work. GOD BLESS YA!
Omg Thank you!!!! I've been trying for ages to learning electronics but it just won't go in my head. This lets me get on with all the fun display building and I don't have to stress so much.
this video really made me stop procrastinating, because i have never really wrap my head around coding language. and just buy a Nano and dive it. now i’m hooked. between this video and chat gtp i can combine and make some really cool things happen. it’s so much fun. thank you so much for posting this video!!
Appreciate the advice. I work with a head called a protogen and wanted to add some more led strips to the back of the ears and neck. Thanks.
Great video mate! You make some of the best edited and easiest to follow content. Enjoyable and educational to watch too! Keep it up!
Have a look at WLED. Basically the same but you don't need to pre-select the effects. You can select them via WiFi
Wooooh finally I can start using animated LEDs! So far, I only used single color LEDs as the animated ones sounded intimidating, especially since I have no coding knowledge at all... Thanks a lot!
Wow! Thank you so much! You just made an overwhelming project totally manageable! I know this video is 2 years old but I hope all the info is still relevant
Just wanted to let you know that I've been trying to figure out a way to add leds to my props and cosplay ideas and this video has been really helpful in getting me into using leds because I'm not very good at coding but still haven't given up thanks again for your time and help
Man, hands down You are the most helpfull youtuber I've seen. Thank You.
Thank you so mutch! Finally someone who explains it clearly. Danke danke danke, endlich jemand der das verständlich erklärt!
only 12K subscribers... im amazed, how is that even possible. I would be sure that content of this quality and information level would be from someone with millions. I hope you get there soon pal, thx for the tips and tricks.
I'm trying to get back into cosplay and I was always so interested in less but never dared to do something with animated leds. The costprice for a trinket was quite high back then too but seeing this video, now I want to just to hurry and make my props so I can add lights. Thank you so much for the explanation and the links to the shops, it really helps out so much!
Very cool I would like to dabble with some automotive mounted animated strips now to buy some parts
Man, I wish I had heard of this sooner :O
Thanks for sharing the find and simple explanation of how to use it..
With that cool meteor rain LED effect might i suggest you make a lightning bolt thrown by Zeus or maybe a Tesla gauntlet?
This is an excellent introduction to these tools. Thank you!
Yo, this is a hack to LED lighting and you can't convince me otherwise ! As a DEV I was ready to just go and do it all myself. I'll probably use this and tweak the end code if I can't get exactly what I want hehe !
Great stuff. What would you recommend to have 2 simple leds, acting as eyes in a skull prop, blink as if they were alive (on 3-4 seconds, then off for .5 seconds, then on again, repeating infinitely)? Right now we have 2 12v UV/Purple leds (not neopixel) in our skull design but they are only constant on.
this channel is definitely underrated. keep on going. thanks for sharing
Fascinating. This will be helpful for the next cosplay idea.
EEEEP!!! How are all these videos so good??!! I need to up my game. Excellent content mister!
My friend i just saw ur videos today and IT'S REALLY REALLY REALLY VERY AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGG
..very cool,..however, at 70, this may be beyond me. I think I may be able to build the LED wall, as a "last" project.
Good on you young man, give glory to your Creator, as you inspire many with your gifts.
Bro u solved my 4 years of problem. 👌👌👌u rock, just 1 question, no matter how long my led strip is will the power run from the power bank to the aurdino and then to the strip???
Kindly help🙏
Put what if I want the LEDs to turn on while I'm on stage? Is there a video where you can show us now to install a switch?
amazing thank you, just got you book 😍 but still dont understand how many led i can use on such a circut?? here you say 50 leds so would little more than 1 meter (using 60led per meter) it quite little i would say?? i dont see in your book how you do runn your bigger project? how many batteries you use ??
I have been animating LEDS and before that Bulbs long before "Programming" was an option, an ne555 and an lm3914 was good enough for KITT so it's good enough for me.
Yo, this is awesome, I don't like starting learning things like that by myself (I'm all in for learning, but !i prefer having people explaining it to me than reading and understanding half of it), so your auto generate thing is perfect and will help me learn how to do new things my self later on. And simplify my first attempts too :)
Exactly! It's just getting your foot in the door, just to see if its for you :)
dude your channel is so underrated
I went to the program to see about setting up what I want to do. but I didn't find where to do the color (I want it all white).
I have SK6812 RGBW LED strip. I want to do a sword where the edge of the sword will light starting at the hilt and go to the tip of the sword. once lit, it would all stay on. also didn't see any option for that. I did see where I could have the lights move, but to light all then stay on, I didn't know what to do. it this something you are set up to help me with? or can you direct me where to go?
thank you so much for your videos, I have already learned from them and appreciate your work!
Hello! I am pretty new in all the light staff. Can you install 2 light strips onto 1 arduino nano?
Fantastic! Much appreciate your sharing this.
So I had an idea to make an RGB LED bicycle frame with RGB LED strips and then I wondered what do I use to diffuse light. Also for that I think I'd need a bit more power than a power bank so what do I use for energy that is rechargeable? What is the best to use, any tips?
This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m absolutely not into cosplay, but it’s ok I’m fine with this.
Amazing content, sir! I saw an article on your amazing stuff, followed on Instagram now on TH-cam. Keep em coming. :)
You probably won't see this, but I am wanting to put together an Astro Bot cosplay and was wondering if this would work with animating its eyes on the inside of the helmet's visor?
If you're planning to use addressable LEDs -why not! :D
@Zibartas my other question is: what would be the proper way of mounting the led strip/sheet? Would you pinlock it to the visor or directly glue it? I've seen people 3D print a cage-like faceplate that goes between the front and back of the helmet.
I am absolutely useless with electronics, is there a way to make string lights (light mini Christmas tree lights) so that each individual light lights up in a certain pattern? I’m wanting to use LEDs on a stranger things cake, on a tier that looks like the light up alphabet thing and have it spell out things, is that actually possible? TIA ❤️
This helped so much dude!!! thank you!!! 💖
Super great tutorial ! And really cool to get started with animated LED too! I want to let you know that the links to LED strip and ring is outdated ^^
Thanks! :D and thanks for letting me know!!
Is there any way you could help with a project I am working on? I have a few questions and I am hoping you could answer them and point me in the right direction.
does the wire connection work the same for the arduino and trinket ?
love the content
Different boards have different pins - but they are labeled - so double check :)
I have question , i wanna make a smiley with leds that can swap true when u press a button or on an app , when u use this program can u add more LEDS to the project and can u make like smiley faces ? its kinda hard , but i wanted 2 do Zer0 from boderlands and i was thinking maybe u could help out :)
Where did you get the connector wires that slide onto the Arduino?
Does this Adafruit Neopixel library code run with any LED strip?
Well, yeah, the addressable WS2812 based ones are all the same + it supports some others. Check documentation if you are using something exotic :)
This is actually super helpful since I suck with anything electronic. XD
THANKYOU VERY MUCH DUDE
Thank you so much! Definitely got another sub.
Im new to this, its one arduino nano per strip led or can I connect several LED strips to an Arduino nano?
If you want multiple things happening at once - you need to connect strips to separate pins. There is a limited amount of PWM capable pins - the bigger the Arduino the more pins it has - so it can do more different animations at the same time. That's the software part. Hardware part - if you just want a lot of strips performing the same animation - just connect them in parallel (same +, - and DATA). Arduino doesn't know if there's 1, or 5, or 125 strips connected to it, it's just pushing out the same signal ✌️
Well, im fascinated now that we had these lessons and projects. I'll definitely use this for the LED lights ^w^
Btw, your vid's so cool🌸
Oh yeah, is it still the same for the Arduino UNO?
I already have one herw and it'll much be more cheaper if the (big blue one at the vid) Arduino is ine that i may use
Yup!! Uno is just physically larger:D adjust the settings in the Arduino software though!
Would this work with elegoo nano boards?
It absolutely does. I just temp. wired my first elegoo nano using this tutorial video and single LED for testing.
SO I guess I cant solder well cause now my computer says cannot recogn'ze when I try to connect the arduino guess I fried it
thank you so much!!!!
Can i use 12v addressable led strip on arduino nano?
How can I power the arduino with a lipo battery?
Nice job man!
Thanks!!!
I know it's an older video but how long does uploading usually take at 3:54?
how do you extend it to multiple leds do you just soder it
That DF was a jump scare
Hi , same pinout for pro micro ? thankyou!
Yeah pretty much - just connect the wires to the pins that are labeled the same ;)
This is Awesome!
Absolutely amazing work on these videos Ziartas. I am personally not a cosplayer but a light painter who likes to create his own tools. Looking to create a light painting stick with the 144led / m and control with the Arduino mini. Do you think the mini would be a good enough option or need to step up to a pro? Iam a beginner with led codding so do not want to go over the top with my first build. :D Thanks for your answer and keep up the good work!!
Aw thanks man!! Mini - you mean this www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoMini ? I'd go for a Nano to be honest :)
@@Zibartas Thanks. I went for one of the cheaper option and looks just as good. :) Playing this video in loop while Iam working on it. :D:D
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
so the code gets loaded to the nano. and it’s just saved in there. so all i have to do is hit a button and it will trigger it?
By default code just starts once the Arduino is powered on - you need to add any additional functionality like button presses and other stuff yourself:)
is there a waterproof one i can get
Do you know the name of the tiny ring LED that has 6 on the outside and one in the middle?
EDIT: Found it! It's the Neopixel Jewel
Also thank you so much for the informative guide dude 💛
Спасибо за твои видео, очень полезно и интересно! (я бы перевел на английский, но думаю тебе будет интересно получить иностранный комментарий.)
Συμφωνώ απόλυτα!
me encantan tus videos 🧡🇨🇴
I need Benz stayle ambient lighting in my home
Subscriber from india❤❤
Hola zibartas se que hablas en ingles y quiero aser iventos como los tullos
I tried, I tried, and I tried. But I couldn't get this to work it keeps saying "Problem uploading to board" I think it is time to give up XD :(
The issue is something with the port but I can't figure it out I'm just going to buy a COB strip with a static red color on it and supply power to it lol that will be way easier.
Do you sell any costumes any where??
Nah I just do it for fun for now :) I don't think many people would be interested xD
Zibartas I think you could go a long way doing this! Maybe even start your own business selling these.
3:07 I hate this, I always get it wrong too. :)
you do know that if you made your videos shirtless you'd get more views...right? !
