      Hey, thanks. I just speak really slowly, but relaxed is a nice way of putting it. 😃

    8:40 San does not buy any of the Simmental cattle cards. If there are only Simmental cows in the market, Sam uses his cowboys to draw 2 new cattle cards.

    This has been great as I've been looking for a solo player game and I think this one is ticking all the boxes. Thnx

      Definitely one of my favorite games and the solo is solid and smartly implemented. I still prefer this at two player, but I'm happy to have the option. Thanks for watching D-Ditto!

    Also I was wondering! Where did you get those poker chips? They’re pretty! How hefty are they?

    I finally played the game tonight. I really enjoyed it, but like you said, I need to play it a few more times. (minor issue: Sam cannot buy Simmental cards. 😉)

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, that is good to know. Thanks! Yeah, with more plays it really opens up, the icons start to make sense, and everything gets really smooth. At least with the multiplayer game. I think I've played this too much at 2 players, because I find the solo to be less enjoyable. I'll still break it out for solo play, but with 2 players who know the game well, it really flows. Thanks for watching!

    Loved the video, very well done and relaxing, keep on doing 'em! But just a reminder, Sam doesn't by the semental cows when you play with this varient.

    Nice video. Helped me learn the game. All the icons are overwhelming at first. Does your engine stay where it is after you deliver cows?

      Thanks Ren! Your train does not reset, it stays in place after delivery. Hope you enjoy the game!

    Hey Shaggi,
    Incoming ...More rule comments/questions again 🙃
    Man, I totally thought you moved your train up to the city where you deliver your cattle. (while still paying $1 per x you cross) suddenly the engineers seem much more valuable! Dunno how I missed that rule!
    And am I right at the 15.30 mark when you took the 2nd 'move 1 space' action, it allowed you to take the action of the space you moved to as a result? I thought you could only do the actions of one space per turn, and that the 'move 1 space' action just let you get a little head start for the next turn sort of thing? (Hope that makes sense).
    Is there a reason why at 19.44 you didn't stop on Sam's green hand building? Or do you only have to pay him $2, you don't have to end your turn on the hand?
    I noticed that you used a cowboy (in video 3) to place in one of those upgrade stations on the train tracks. I thought you had to spend an builder specifically? (How is it possible i have this many rules wrong? lol)
    And finally, questions about the objective cards.
    1. I thought that you had to take an objective card each time you went to Kansas city?
    2. If you don't activate objective cards, do they stay in your hand until you redraw a new hand at Kansas city?
    Shaggi. You're a bloody legend. Forgive my insane amounts of questions. No rush at all to answer them!
    Emma 🙂

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No worries, it is a complex game.
      The 'move 1 space' ability does let you activate the next place you move to right away. You can chain these together for massive turns.
      You do not need to stop on buildings with hands, you just need to pay the money when you pass through an opponent's building with a hand.
      You can place any kind of worker when you upgrade a station.
      You only take an objective card if your deliveries are on both sides of an objective symbol. For example, if you have already delivered to Peoria and then you deliver to Chicago, you will have tokens on either side of that objective card symbol between the cities, so you draft a card into your discard pile.
      Unplayed objective cards stay in hand until you deliver, yes. There is no way to discard them otherwise.
      Hope that helps, Emma!

      Just a small thing regarding the objective cards. I think you can cull them from the deck if you got them in your hand and perform the auxiliary action: back up the train - gain 1 buck - remove one hand card from the game to the box.

      All of his games are very interesting. I haven't tried Cloudage. I've played Boonlake once and really enjoyed it. I need to play more but it might crawl into the top 3. Mombasa is great as well and a remake is coming out soon which I'm very excited to try. But Great Western Trail is a masterpiece. A standalone sequel is coming that looks amazing. Good stuff! Thanks so much Chris!
