    Daito continues with several branches. Shoshi Okomoto Sensei was kodo horikawas student. Kodo was ueshibas classmate under sokaku Sensei. Shioda Gozo was another classmate. If you look them up a bit you can see the way aikido parted ways and it’s origins. Remember the brief period of judo training. Judo being the new sport form of ju jitsu. There was an example of modernism leading to popularity.

      It is cool from an historical perspective. But Aikido is a bunch of crap. It only works if your opponent allows it..Pfft

      @@joereidy5732 Hahaha, and why does it work all the time if the opponent does not allow it?

      @@Jiyukan I said the opposite Sparky. Please prove that Aikido has worked even one time against someone who does NOT allow it.

    At 24:00 and 26:04, I don't understand how the students will fall unless they fall on purpose. That's a problem with many of the modern aikido demonstrations. But for the more ancient daito ryu and aikibudo part, the techniques are most effective.

      Modern and historical are in most parts of the world just the same. Only in "hippy cultures" there are differences.

      No idea what your objection around 24:00 is. No idea what your problem with 26:00 is either. You do not know techniques, I assume.

      @@Jiyukan What technique? It can be called "choreographed" falls, or "fakery." Those guys are falling and doing cart-wheels on their own. This would never work in a real life scenario. Judo is real.

      @Jiyukan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@samlott99 Aikido and Judo are mostly the same, except that most Aikido throws are forbidden in Judo competitions. I suggest to either practice at least either Judo *or* Aikido, *or* both. Or at least read a book about it. Sorry: you have no clue.
