I put 5 liters of it in Toyota yesterday but it didn't start so I called Toyota service and they told me to put at least 10 Liters after that only then it started.max limit is 15 liters range upto 8-10k kms
you can add any brand/company ad blue regardless of car model/company.

Is it ok to fill DEF from outside like HPCL def or Indian oil Def ? I came on vacation with my Harrier but Def level shows first warring so thinking if I should wait or refill it from outside as Tata service centre is not near. Please advise.

It depends on how you drive the car means agar aap gaadi fast or start me खड़ी rakhte hai (like in summers Ac on) to kam chalega overall mix mileage of DEF is around 7k -8k km/15 ltrs
