@@abhimanyusingh1395 I did it for 30 kms keeping continuously above 2500 RPM, it worked, however it depends on model and on how much clogged your filter is. Just look for your DPF warning light it will go off if successfully done. I tried smaller distances earlier but DPF light would come back again and again so I tried longer route and then it worked..

So this was my main concern but ab khud se regeneration Wali baat sunn ke mann ko sukoon mila 😅 Although car lete time dealer ne bhi inform kiya tha Yeh still agar aaplogo se bhi same resolve mil raha toh sahi hai 😇

***Incorrect Information***
1. DPF - Diesel Particulate Filter comes in ALL diesel cars in EURO4 / BS4 too... Nothing new... And it cleans automatically... No Issue even in city driving...
2 . New things in Euro 6 are:
a) Urea based Catalytic Converter(AdBlue)
b) Lean Nitrous Trap(LNT)
LNTs are used in Hyundai and don't need any servicing... and some other brands like costly Volkswagen use AdBlue solution which need a liquid to be replaced in 1000s of KMs

If I am not wrong, AdBlue is for the engine above 1500 cc. Its not for the smaller diesel Engine's!

I think every manufacturer mention different solutions. You can check it on your owner's manual.
Gari may forced regeneration ka option bhi rahta hain. Forced regeneration workshop and kuch kuch gario May customers khub bhi kar sakta hain.
Gari ko ek khali jaga, jaha par aag lagne wala koi saman na ho aisa jaga pay khara karke forced regeneration bhi hota hain.

Mere pass Diesel Seltos hai jo mene 9 months me 27000 km chala li hai. Mera highway use hi hota hai 60% + 40% city use hai. That's why I never faced problem of DPF clogging. But even if someone is driving in city they just need to take the car out on the highway on Sundays only for 20-30 mins and it will always keep their DPF clean. Diesel cars are fun to drive because of high Torque and have longer engine life because diesel is not as strong chemical as petrol and hence diesel causes less cylinder and piston wear as compared to petrol engine. That's why we often see modern diesel engines with 4-5 lakh kilometres in odometer.
What you have mentioned is perfectly right, but other than raised hatchback segment (not true SUV which is also getting affected slowly ) and SUV segment diesel vehicle is dieing, there are reports that Verna is going to stop it's diesel engines,Honda also stopped , with this now there will be no diesel cars available in the sedan category, as of now it will be available only in premier sedan catagory and which is really sad for a person like me who is enjoying a diesel car from past 5 and half years (before that I had petrol car for 7 years ) I really love diesel over petrol but govermment strict environment rules made the diesel engines to vanish

All you need is to run the Engine at Higher revolutions for 30 minutes to one hour.
This Automatically happens if you drive on the Highway.
You don't have to do anything.
If you have less running/ only city running,
You can run the car on 3 gear at about 3000 rpm .
It will self clean
Refer the specific manual for the car

I am facing same problem in my Kia seltos. Drove 5000 km till now, got warning light 4 times. Took it to service center, they did ECU updation and then it became alright. But I am really worried because this problem can come back to haunt me anytime. My trips are usually short in the city. Will my engine be at risk due to this in the long run ?

1. DPF
2. SCR( Adblue is added to the tank for electronic dosing in exhaust- you have to keep refilling with diesel thereby making the new diesel cars unviable)
You can see the Mercedes Benz C Class diesel or Bharat Benz trucks.
3. EGR or Exhaust Gas Recirculation where a part of the exhaust will be channelled to the air mixture going to the Engine.
