  • FIFTY FIFTY: Dumbest Backstabbing Idols or Manipulated Rookies of Kpop ?
From the beloved girl group dearingly referred to as the magic of the tiny business, aka the title that has only been granted to BTS, FIFTY FIFTY is now labled the most ungrated act of Kpop whose not only their vision but also their greed is extremely cocnernable. The most surprising thing about this whole thing is that the twist of public reaction just changed in a blink of an eye and within not up to two weeks, the act has already been destined to a doomed future despite the record achievements surpassing both BLACKPINK and NewJeans.
Today, we're diving headfirst into the whirlwind journey of FIFTY FIFTY, the girl group with enough drama to put a soap opera to shame, to analyze the fastest rise and fall of this promising act.

THANK YOUUUU!!!! i´ve been saying this since the beggining of the month, and ppl were just saying "f the CEO" "F attrakt" when the ceo did nothing but loving and taking care of the girls, but internatinal fans, as always, jump into assumptions and started hating on the ceo, i understand that most of the times the company is at fault, but now that we see that the company didnt do anythig people, they decide to ignore and hate on him (the ceo). The girls were maybe lured into this, but i think they should´ve known better, the ceo of the givers didnt even let the ceo of attrakt see the girls while training, yet he still did everything to keep the girls save and shower them in luxury, even tho they were from small and new company, i feel bad for the ceo of attarkt and a bit the girls if at the end its true that they were manipulated🥲🥲

I mean Attrakts CEO fault was letting Givers managing these girls and visiting the girls once in a while. The Givers CEO was the one involved in their project planning and Music production . So he was like how Bang PD was to BTS. Attrakt ceo was responsible for securing Funds. Like Ahn was taking care of these girls from May of 2021, like since they were minors. This gave him enough time to build a trusting relationship with them and their families. If ATTRAKT's CEO didn't blindly trust Ahn and took care of managing the girls and while Givers were only taking care of the music production this wouldn't happen. Like Ahn shut off communication between the 2 . How were these girls supposed to get a proper explaination regarding anything from ATTRAKT. When Givers were the one feeding them lies in between

@@mans5676Let's not blaim the vicim, yes he was blindly trusting the Givers but it's still 100% Givers fault for manipulating and lying to the CEO and the girls. They got better treatments than a lot of Big3 groups. Like what were they thinking? I know they got manipulated but they did turn their backs on the CEO completely when they could be 50/50 of the situation and to whoever manipulated them. He sold the FIFTY FIFTY label to Warner Music Korea behind the CEO's back. He has also stole the label for "Cupid". Why else would he own almost 95% of the whole song of Cupid if ATTRAKT is the company taking care of the girls? Shouldn't ATTRAKT own most of the song? People should recognize that those who cause legal disputes, knowing that someone will be harmed, are already not innocent. Unless one is a 7-year-old child, individuals must take responsibility for their actions. If the members of Fifty Fifty are innocent, they should show a sense of responsibility towards the situation. However, they remain silent and do not convey any message to the CEO. This is because they have nothing more to say after betraying the CEO. Let me clear up why Fifty Fifty is being criticized by Koreans.
    1. They've just debuted, and they've already asked for a settlement. Three million dollars. CEO Jeon Hong-joon planned to pay off the debt incurred in training Fifty Fifty first with profits, and then settle it accurately, but suddenly they sued CEO Jeon Hong-joon.
    2. CEO Jeon Hong-joon provided welfare and education at the level of a large agency to raise the children even by selling his belongings and family belongings. But I betrayed CEO Jeon Hong-joon's efforts.
    3. CEO Ahn Sung-il has long been notorious for lying a lot and stealing artists from other agencies. And it's becoming more controversial because of this incident.
    4. CEO Ahn Sung-il continues to commit all kinds of misdeeds to somehow ruin CEO Jeon Hong-joon by mobilizing the parents of the Fifty Fifty members. Because of this, other celebrities, producers, and agencies are all angry.
    5. Fifty Fifty's parents independently registered the trademark rights of Fifty Fifty without consulting the agency. The agency used tens of millions of dollars to steal the group that debuted.
    6. CEO Ahn Sung-il registered all the copyrights as his own without asking the Swedish composer who wrote the title song "Cupid." He even stole a song from a Swedish composer.
    7. CEO Ahn Sung-il even attempted to destroy evidence to cover up everything with CEO Jeon Hong-joon's crime. Fortunately, all the evidence has been preserved and restored, but they are still trying to destroy it.
    8. The relatives of CEO Ahn Sung-il and professional trainers and producers who participated in the Fifty Fifty management persuaded Fifty Fifty to apologize to CEO Jeon Hong-joon and start over. But they completely ignored it.
    9. They even filed a criminal complaint against CEO Jeon Hong-joon for breach of trust when the negotiations broke down and it was likely to become increasingly unfavorable. I don't think it's a civil suit anymore, so I was trying to make a crime.
    10. Fifty Fifty claimed that CEO Jeon Hong-joon announced their illness without consent and that he sexually harassed them. But then they actually signed a contract with an agency that produces sexy adult movies. Why did the girls, who were angry that the CEO committed sexual harassment, sign a contract with an agency that produces racy adult films? Doesn't that odd?
    11. CEO Ahn Sung-il won his own contract with Warner Bros. Music Group without notifying CEO Jeon Hong-joon. And I kept hiding it from CEO Jeon Hong-joon. He was trying to monopolize the overseas expansion through Warner Bros.
    12. Fifty Fifty's parents gave back money to a producer of a current affairs culture program on SBS, one of Korea's leading terrestrial broadcasters, and unconditionally made biased reports in favor of Fifty Fifty. Viewers were very angry that SBS mocked viewers through biased reports. So the SBS homepage was paralyzed for 6 hours.
There are many other controversies and misdeeds, but there are 11 things I can sort out. If you need more, I will organize it again and reply to you later.

it's not about beinjg 12yo or 40yo. It's about having the knowledge and clearity of mind to make the right decision. This girls went with what they have been told be the people from "The Givers" because those are the people they trusted due to the fact that they spent the most time with them. The girls had nither the business, nor the law knowledge to make the right decision for themselves. All that on top of having people around them who they trusted, but who had their own agendas. It's cute to judge them when we as public can read a nice little article, but it's very likely that these girls could've found ouyt about a bunch of thisgs from the same articles that we read. There is also the fact that since before they filled the lawsuit it must have been a very stressfull situation for them and that makes making decisions very difficult.

At this point its more or less unsalvageable for the CEO from a financial perspective. He will just have to create a new group and rely on the goodwill of the public to undo his loss.
That being said, he should be awarded the win both in the public court of opinion and also the actual legal system itself. Only by doing so will it send a message and serve as a deterrent for any future snakeblooded producers or idols eager to jump ship for the next best opportunity without paying their dues.

Thanks for sharing FACTS instead of wishful thinking in a fan’s point of view. Koreans were very proud of this rookie group for succeeding with “cupid” despite being a part of a small label. Whether they were dumb to be manipulated and brainwashed, or slyly cunningly backstabbed their benefactor (I’d say both), they had plenty of time to judge for themselves and correct any mistakes. Keena, thankfully due to her very rational and humane parents who realized their mistakes and who felt genuine gratitude for the CEO who has raised their daughter into the star she is today, was the only one who acknowledged her mistake and asked for pardon and made the brave decision to return to the small label and face the music. The others stubbornly kept on posting on social media how sick they were, how maltreated (unsupported by any tangible REAL evidence that the court accepted) they were, and how “scared” they were of the CEO. Thankfully nowadays there’s a thing called the internet and social media nowadays so ppl related to this case started to provide the evidence that proves the CEO was nothing but a kind man who has been kind and trusting his whole career as a CEO. Just because he made a mistake of fully entrusting his idol group (which is normally done in other large labels as well) to a skilled scammer (who had manipulated and stolen other artists in the past), it doesn’t mean he’s not a victim. So glad to see justice being dealt out to these deserters because you just don’t walk out on your label who raised you with kindness to sign with a fancier label unless you’re a golddigger.

*Fame got into their heads rather too quickly. Even the legendary group Girls Generation, with their A-list, Hallyu status for 16years were role models of humility eventhough everyone knows that SM Ent isn’t exactly the ideal agency to be working under. Great example of this is SMTown 2022, when GG reunited and performed for their 15th anniversary comeback, Forever1. Non SM members Sooyoung, Tiffany, and Seohyun were seen greeting and hugging warmly Lee Soo Man, despite the fact that the girls are no longer under the agency for 5years. In particular, Seohyun, who badly wanted to pursue acting since her SM days were always hindered by the agency. A lot of offers were given to her but that one project that was ignored by SM to waste was the offer to star in the global blockbuster movie ‘Train To Busan’. Along with that, it was common knowledge that Seohyun has tirelessly self-composed countless of songs for Girls Generation albums but mostly were rejected.*
*And despite that, Seohyun never planted hate towards her former agency. And the three non-SM girls worked out of their way to come back to SM and participate in an album.*
*See how humility and gratefulness can keep a group relevant and respected for 16years.*
*I think Fifty Fifty should learn a humility and grateful course from SNSD. But too bad, they are gone too soon.*

I have been hearing so much about this case that I have become invested. I am not gonna say who is right or wrong because I have no idea.
Here's the thing, it doesn't matter whether the girl r backstabbers or were manipulated. The current situation is that their repuation and image, especially in front of k-netizens, has taken a nose dive. The public sentiment is in favor of CEO n The Givers r seen as the villans of the story. But the thing is it doesn't matter. The main face of this legal battel is 50/50. They r the grp who will have to work as public figures. They r not the masterminds but they r the frontliners. So both criticism and praises goes to them. That's how it works when it comes to entertainment industry.
The only thing that can save their image and shift public sentiment is if they win the legal battel and it's proven that every term that the lawsuit was filed on is true. The contract was unfair, the company sidelined the member's health issues, and made improper investment decisions. If CEO wins the case then it will difficult to salvage their reputation.
Kpop doesn't work like American industry. In west even if u do dr*gs, k*ll ppl, ignore dy*ng ppl in concert, commit crimes, etc u still can continue ur career n no one bats an eye(which is the digusting thing about it). But in Kpop u mess up, it follows u to the end of earth(which is also extreme). So only time will tell what will happen.

  • @p4r4g0n

To be fair, the timing and incidents that have come to light seems to indicate a very long term orchestrated plan by a mastermind to get the members out of Attract. I find it hard to blame the members for being manipulated given their ages and lack of experience. The problem right now seems to be that the members are entirely controlled by the mastermind as evidenced by the silence from the members throughout this entire incident. Furthermore, who is paying for all the trademark expenses and the lawyers from a high profile Korean law firm? From what I know, the members are not from financially well off families (although I could be wrong about this). Initially, the only person who had the most to gain and the least to lose regardless of whether this move succeeded or failed was the mastermind. However, since the issue has blown up so extraordinarily, certainly I think beyond the expectations of the mastermind, events from years before are surfacing which are likely going to change that initial equation.

The one managing them, Ahn seems like he wants to be the CEO since he did all the work. He probably wants all the money as well, that is how these people in the industry work. The problem is the artists get confused especially if a bigger deal comes by and they probably trust Ahn more. Their parents can also get greedy and do some shady stuff. Soojin and Garam are school bullies who recieved what they deserve. You can't rule out what happened based on a few claims against physical evidence. Attrakt showed multiple evidence to back up their claim. Girls just suited the company with accusations without any evidence. The Givers keep posts so called proofs that only supports Attrakt's position.
I'm done playing blind. These girls will lose the case for sure; however, they will not pay much penalty. Most likely scenario based off of similar lawsuitsvwill go as follow.
Judge will rule in favor of Attrakt; however, since trust is already broken, two parties can not work together. Members will pay penalty fee for breach of contract. Fee will be average monthly earning multiplied by remaining months left. Attrakt hardly make any money. These girls sued the company just before big money making schedules such as concerts like Kcon or commercials for big companies. Coincidence?
In Korea, they are already done for. They are counting on US market. Considering how ignorant US fans are, they will have some success if they can end the lawsuit fast enough.
Just sad to see nice guy finishing last yet once more.

Asking people to stay neutral in spite of evidence pointing otherwise doesnt make sense. Im sure you wont be offering the CEO or company the same defense if public opinion was against him instead, so ironically you probably arent neutral enough yourself to ask that of others.
Netizens are allowed and should form their own opinions based on the available evidence. Whats more important is to keep an open and objective mind, and be willing to adjust our opinions when presented with new, credible and contrasting evidence instead of fixing our support firmly behind any one party and disregarding evidences that are inconvinient to our own narratives.

@@marianne9221 Yes it does. Opinions are formed from evidences available and there in lies the flaw. True understanding can vary drastically depending on the amount of evidences available. History has repeatedly demonstrated that neglecting to achieve full awareness of the situation can potentially lead to commiting false accusations. If your objective is to judge someone truthfully then neutrality is the best option untill a hundred percent understanding of the situation is realized.
I find your methods quite flawed and furthermore it shows me you don't value truth. Furthermore accusing us of double standards based on personal assumptions is also a flawed method and childish.

This incident is something that overseas fans interested in K-pop must know about. Fifty-Fifty is simply a great traitor. They betrayed the CEO of the agency who invested all his money in giving them a chance and leading them to success. They also played a media role by portraying the CEO as a very bad person and proceeded with a lawsuit. The only purpose of this was to leave a poor agency and enter a global agency. Their leader gave everything for Fifty-Fifty. However, what came back right after the success was a contract termination lawsuit. This is only a part of this incident. They are being criticized by all Koreans like never before, but the members don't think Korea matters. This is because there are overseas fans who do not know about this incident. So overseas fans must learn more about this incident.

I'll explain. The CEO payed lots of money to a producer for him to manage his girl group. The producer lied to the CEO and manipulated the girls so they'll betray their own CEO. The producer turned out to be a huge liar and a criminal. The girls are still siding with the producer and they lied about being mistreated and overworked. However, it's already been proven that the girls have been resting for months so they lied about being overworked. Also, one of the member from a girl group 'The rush' and many others talked about how nice the CEO was to them and the CEO revealed recordings of the producer lying to him. So koreans are siding with the ceo while international fans that doesn't know about these stuff, are confused.

The CEO sold his car and watch - and got a 9B won loan with an additional 2B bc he blew the 9B before debut.
The CEO gave them a luxury apartment and designer clothes (which I’ll bet money on is being tacked onto the girls debt) - and the company is in a cellar sharing walls with a chicken feet resturaunt.
The CEO cares for them so much - by outsourcing all work (managment, producing etc) to The Givers.
The CEO cares for their future career - by cancelling the Barbie Dreams MV shoot hours before it was set to begin.
Is everything adding up correctly to you too?
