I used to go with my Dad to race at Williams Grove in the 70's. 3 nights in a row. Williams Grove, Selinsgrove, Sunday afternoon me in my kart at Milton, then Penn National for Sunday Night. For me in modern times {?} I would go to Williams Grove with Lenny Krautheim a few times as I was itching to get my own car. After getting my Roy Morral Hardees #880 car that won Ohio Speedweek with Keith Kauffman {Lenny got the other one} I began my sprint car racing thing at Selinsgrove. I won the consi! I might have ran against your Dad that night? I know I ran with him on occasion? I enjoy your videos because it reminds me so much of how it was when I was driving. Things change over the years but the human element doesn't. I like your videos because you show the human element.
Nice work Billy and even better last night !!!! I was pulling for you to get first! Hope to see you more often at the Grove. Guys like you will help save that track

Definitely should run the grove more often.. especially with the outlaws and the bigger shows if you can swing it financially.. Also would love to see you at port for the tusky 50
Running the Grove definitely is a different beast and when its heavy you need a motor set on kill. Terrific you did well, want to see more of it. Also don’t want to see you over extend your resources either. Good job and see you at the track.

Congratulations on the result. Looks like you really got the car dialled in for the track by the time you got to the feature. It would have been interesting to see how it would have gone had you got that little bit more track time. (Seperate warmup and time trial etc). Did they condense the program to save tires or something else because it didn’t look like time was an issue?
REALLY enjoying your channel.. The tech tips and the how's an why's.. I grew up around my wifes uncles Sprint cars up here in the REAL Northern California (North of Sacatomato). I wish we lived closer so I could help ya out.. Is there a way you could put a Go Pro pointing at you feet and have a screen in screen with your hands? That way the viewers can see what your feet are doing with your hands. I bet most new fans think you just steer that thing around the track LOL Keep up the GREAT work
Hey Billy just curious did you get a new motor to run Williams grove or sake engine you kept telling me you don’t have the motor for Williams grove or is it just more west on the motor
I am not sure what your schedule is but if you can do good at the Grove for not being there in forever. You should consider running Selinsgrove for Thursday or the last PA Speedweek show.
I hope that Billy runs all of speedweek my opinion is that if Billy was to start racing with the outlaws on speed week and race fri an sat that he would get more laps an more laps with guys that race all the tracks in the us and he would just get better and I think he would be a pa posse guy like that wins consistent like Danny, lance , macri , marks, you get what I’m saying he has the skill he has the motor he has everything he needs to compete an beat these guys regularly he just needs to be out there more then one nite a week I’m rooting for you I’m supporting u Billy and when you get to that top pa sprint car driver I’ll still be rooting for you I hope you really consider everything I’m saying you got what it takes! Lincoln and Baps for sure. Possibly Hagerstown but that’s probably going to be it. Everyone has to work during the week and we don’t have a motor to time well in the big tracks.
Good question, seems about the same as far as tires go and fuel. Motor might be different story but it was dry so it didn’t really work the motor hard.

don't understand why you were not running the grove, they pay the most for this area but i guess it would be harder to get a top ten but but compared to baps and lincoln you have more room to race and your equipment is equal to most of the competition.
Well there’s a couple good reasons but the biggest is motor, our motor program is not up to speed when the track is “fast” . Dry slick is an equalizer.
@@billydietrich i know you need a good motor at the grove, i was a mechanic on the tom peck latemodel for 11 yrs and had a couple championships there. that was when snellbaker,weld and opperman ruled the sprintcars.

We are running Lincoln and Baps but not grandview. I like Grandview but the midweek is just to hard for everyone with the work schedule.
