*Maggie Breaks her Arm?!* "Stupid With Love" {Mean Girls} 1st Place; Utah State Theatre 2019

- After placing 1st in every preliminary round of State Theatre Competition, I entered the medals round with 6 other Musical Theatre competitors. During the final round, my chair slipped out from under me in the middle of my song, causing me to fall and hit my elbow very hard on the stage. After finishing the song on pure adrenaline, driving home in a makeshift sling, and finding out I won 1ST PLACE overall at State, I went to a medical clinic to get X-rayed. Luckily, it doesn't look fractured, but the final call from the radiologist will come in next week. Although it hurts quite a bit, and I spent Prom in the 5 minute clinic, I'm super grateful it wasn't worse and am hopeful for a speedy recovery. I'm also super grateful for amazing friends who took care of me all night and made the best of a hard situation. "The show must go on!!"

That fall and seamless recovery gets a 10 for acrobatics, tenaciousness, and true grit. You are a true professional, Maggie, and certainly one of my favorites at OVCC!

You are incredible! Best performance of this song I've seen- you have such a bright future. Accidents/mistakes happen, but how you recover from them speaks volumes. A lot of people go into "panic" mode & freeze, but you truly made it look like it was part of the show and didn't miss a beat! I had a similar issue with a chair in in a performance that broke & sliced my leg- I started gushing blood on stage and still have the scars, haha!

THIS IS OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE PERFORMANCE OF STUPID WITH LOVE (I REALLY HOPE YOU'RE OKAY) ok how do I start. first few seconds and I was already inlove with youuu and your comedic timing is just perfect. your Cady is so unique and truly your own character but still very on point for Cady. that thing you did with the chair getting closer to aaron was amazing. your delivery despite aaron physically not being on stage is amazing! I was already so impressed I thought that was it but that fall looked really bad but you saved it soo perfectly! I really really hope you're okay! I'm so impressed by your quick moves and thinking to save that terrible fall (someone fire that chair). Plus the smile on your face as if nothing happened and your flawless singing after that! You are just incredible. I'm so mad this doesn't have enough views. You are soo underrated and truly have an amazing skill and talent. BROADWAY BETTER WATCH OUT
