I have been having problems with my hands the past few months. After I came across your channel I found myself inspired to find ways to continue building. Thank you! I can't express what your videos did for my depression. I am building models again and feel much better!
Thank you for the kind words. Indeed, we must always focus on the things we can and love to do! And you will also inspire others in your turn. All the very best!
Very fond memories of building this kit with it's original BEA markings back in the early 1960's. For an ancient kit it still looks good. Italeri keep saying they will re-release their S55 but until that day happens the Airfix kit is all we have to work with. Congratulations on you fine build.
It is great to see time spent on a vintage kit. Your modeling skills elevated this average kit into a show piece. I too have an affinity for the old dog kits. Hahaha. Keep having fun my friend. Bill
Nice build, makes me want to get one, although I've already got a few things coming for Xmas, plus I like your presentation style. Glad I found your channel.
Beautiful build on a not particularly easy model. I am working on this now but rather than the dark green and white I'm using the royal blue upper and the sky lower fuselage, as they were at one time in the Royal Navy I think. I've always had a soft spot for the Whirlwind.
Nice video and great build of the model. I especially liked the tip about the canopy framework. After years of being frustrated with masking canopies I think that you have provided me (and possibly the rest of the modelling world) with this unique (at least to me) solution to masking these vintage models.
I'm in the middle of making this at the moment, for a Vintage Classic it's not too bad. I don't remember making it first time round back in the 70s, but so far, so good. You got a good result, I don't think mine will look as good

I hear you, getting old has it's issues.
Easy, cause of less parts, I lo❤ve it. I love easy Kits !
Thank you. It was an older kit so there were some challenges, but still a fun build.

You have made a much better job of yours than i did of mine. Nice.
Many thanks! And I had fun building it too.
Great build personally i would have kept the main airframe gloss as it would be more authentic.
Many thanks! Yes I am planning to build another of this Whirlwind and will try the gloss finish.
You’ve done a really great job with what is a very old and crude kit by today’s standards. I’ve picked up some good modelling tips from you also.
Many thanks! I enjoyed this build.

Thanks, I did have some fun building this one.

Very nice job......It came out pretty good for an old model.

Good job on an old kit. Will be building mine in the near future. Btw, you sound like a Malaysian.
Thank you! It was an enjoyable build.
Great video. Even picked up a few tips thank you. But might I suggest staying away from sharp implements judging by your hands lol
Thanks! Can't stay away from those cutting tools, otherwise the model can't get built. Just have to be very very careful ... HaHa!

Yes, I did enjoy building it. There were some challenging bits, and some fun bits. Enjoy building yours, and share when you can.

I could never work out how that main rotor shaft was supposed to stay in place.
Yes, wrapping some tape around the shaft will help. Cheers.
