thats great you were able to figure out this hack to get extra miles out of the bent canopy. Keep in mind plastic ties only last a year before they deteriorate and break. For future fixes, try the metal zip ties.
Glad it helped! My zip tie finally broke this past weekend after using it like 4 or 5 times, but just replaced it and hopefully it lasts a few more uses! Think I’ll get a steel band eventually if it gets annoying
Well done our brand new umbrella was used on sunday for the first time, it blew to one side and snapped exactly like yours. This is a fantastic fix thanks again.👍
@@fiveohmxco I just made a video and uploaded it here at my home place. I am very sorry for not mentioning your TH-cam channel, I will of course add a comment to any views I get and thanks again for helping me fix mine.👍👏
Great idea. Thanks much. I was just setting mine up for Halloween and it snapped just like yours. We’ll only be using it sporadically so this will work.
Thank you! I was taking mine apart and one of those black things just popped and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I’m going to try this and I bought some new bolts and things. Hope it works! Thanks so much!
😂😂 i wish I woulda thought of this 2 or 3 canopies ago lol. I think steel wire would be better, but zip ties hold up good enough! I have to replace em every 3-5 times I use my canopy
2 years later and you’re still helping people out! Thank you for this video. Great temporary fix till I can replace the broken truss bar.
🙏🙏 thanks!
R u able to order a replacement trusses & other parts?!

Thanks! Yes I’ve had to replace mine once or twice over the years. I should find some metal zip ties and fix it permanently!
This is awesome! Mine broke in the exact same spot and I was looking to purchase a new one. Thanks for helping me to save some money!
Awesome! You’re welcome! Just make sure to keep some spare zip ties because it’ll probably break after a few uses
We used this fix today and it worked beautifully!!! THANKS!
👍👍 Just keep a few spare zip ties around for whenever it eventually breaks! Mine broke after like 5 or 6 setups
Thanks for sharing! Best one I found so far! Needed a temporary fix for this week and this will have to do until I get parts.

Thank you! I'll try this! You just saved me $80.
No problem! Hope it goes well!
I used the same method, but added some rubber grommets in the holes. I'm taking it to the windy Texas Coast this weekend! Wish me luck!! 😂
Nice! That was my biggest worry.. sharp metal cutting the zip ties. Should be good!
Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks, worked for me! I didn't have zip ties so used landscape wire, but that broke. So next I used coat hanger wire and now looks very sturdy
Smart! I’ve had to replace my zip tie after every two or 3 uses so I might follow your lead and go coat hanger next time
I'll try this idea as well. Thank you!
Great idea and cracking job. Thanks for sharing this pal 👍🏻 🇬🇧

Glad to hear this was helpful! Worst case just keep some zip ties in the bag and you can replace them as needed! Mine broke after 4 or 5 uses

Hope it works out well! I hate these things fail so easily
Just saved me a couple of hundred bucks! Thanks man
Love to see it!! 💪💪
Dammit! Thank you so much, love this idea. Here I was gonna try and "weld" it 😂
😂😂 i wish I woulda thought of this 2 or 3 canopies ago lol. I think steel wire would be better, but zip ties hold up good enough! I have to replace em every 3-5 times I use my canopy
Thank you so much I was thinking maybe cheap rebar wire would work better
I think you’re 100% correct. That’d be a better fix
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!😅
...my husband forgot to unlock one of the buttons when breaking it down...soooo he used force.😏 this should work perfectly! Thanks again!
What is the name of the black square part with the screw in it? I need that part too.
No idea :/
Dude! Thank you!
Hope it works for you!
@@fiveohmxco it did. I'm sitting under it right now.
@@SomeIsBest 💯💯💯 love it
Omg thank you!
Morning mine its broken too bt I need to change the pole total
Se me rompió la mía exactamente igual la arreglaré haber si jala
Just tape some extra zip ties to it, and if one breaks, you're ready to go again.
Yea I keep a stash of them in the canopy case now 🤙🤙
Use stainless steel zip ties.
