Hi, yes ours is still running strong! We live in south louisiana with lots of heat and humidity. This thing runs everyday 8am-8pm helping keep my office and living room cool (along w our central ac)

Not sure. Seems the u shaped is becoming a big deal but the installation for my window not so sure it’ll work I just need to install and cool my lower level lol

It did! We’ve put about 10k ish miles on our pilot since doing this and the problem has not reoccurred. I’m about to replace the trans fluid again bc i think that’s what caused the issue in the first place. But yea, all good since doing this

I lied. We’re at just under 88k miles and I did this at just under 72k miles. So 16k miles without any issues! I really need to change the trans fluid 😅😅

Cheaper! Also this one has the heat function. I don’t think they’ve released a u-shaped w the heat pump. Although the heater seems to only work above about 40F outdoor temp. Wont run when it’s colder

Oh and also this one is fully supported by the window, whereas the u-shaped requires the use of an external support. But I agree the u-shaped are appealing. Will prob get an 8k BTU one for our bedroom if they go on sale cheap enough ($240ish)

@@fiveohmxco Yeah i guess the heat to me doesn't mean much but the price difference for a normal AC sans heat U shaped is 450$ for a 12000btu and for this one is 299. Kinda crazy. Wondering if they are more efficient....

@TristanPope i think they both use the inverter nowadays. I bet you could check the yellow energy efficiency sticker thing to see if the cost per year or whatever differ. I would imagine efficiency is pretty similar

@@fiveohmxco Yeah it's kinda crazy, wonder if the reason they sell for so much less though is an upgrade or a gimmick. Hard to tell when they have 700 versions of the same damn thing haha.

Not sure which website, but it was one of the Honda parts dealer sites. If you google Honda oem parts it should pull up a bunch of Honda parts sites. Just click on one and search for your part (i.e. clutch pressure sensor switch) and it should take you to an exploded diagram. If you can’t find one lmk and I’ll try to find a specific link

@sena-oc6os all still good! Just got back from a road trip to the beach today. No issues since everything done in the video. I think I’ll probably drain and fill the trans fluid again soon proactively

Just measured and it’s just under 8” from the front of the window glass. I would use 8” as your clearance

Yes, def recommend that before taking apart. But imo it only helps to take off the big panel. Doesn’t defrost the fan

I like the Midea ALOT more to be honest. It’s quieter, seems to start up and run smoother, and it has Wi-Fi/app accessibility so I can schedule when it runs and at what temp. I might actually give this one to my mother in law and get another Midea 😅

@fiveohmxco that's funny 😁 ... hey, someone GIVES me an A/C - I'm GOOD, no matter! Good to know on the Midea ... I've been shopping for an A/C and you just don't see any of them with reviews more than 4.3, 4.4 out of 5 stars ... hopefully, whatever you get runs solid for a few seasons, and you at least get your money's worth. It's a small studio, just a bit over 300 sf, but it gets full late day sun (up north, by Lake Erie). Only one window. It could do w/ 8000 btu's, but I thought I'd go with 10000 just to be sure with all the sun. Well, I saw this midea for only 20 more than a 8000 btu magnavox, and while it is a refurbished unit - I love the idea of having over kill - and the biggie - for that little bit more price is the way the condenser runs/how quiet it is. With your install video, my neurodivergent brain isn't so intimidated 🫠 - I do really well with visuals, I need them tbh. Thanks for your quick response!

Show them this video and ask if it’s this problem! Are they replacing it under warranty? If not, this should be like a $800 job to replace this sensor imo. Or diy!

They are not replacing under warranty they said it came out with a P0848 code and said it was a bad transmission, I don’t understand if that code said it’s a bad pressure sensor . This transmission problem had been happening since the vehicle was under warranty. Did changing the sensor fix the problem and how often do you change the transmission oil now?

@@josesandoval7487 yes, it fixed the transmission issue for us. I haven’t replaced the trans fluid since then. I looked at it a couple weeks ago and it’s still red and smells fine. I’ll prob change it next oil change though. Did pressure switch at like 72k miles and we’re at like 88k miles now
