Agreed. Frogs are a good choice. You should be worried about losing your frog....I'd be breeding/imprinting something close to LVL 100 at least and take a mate for the boost.
na i use frog in here its fairly easy, but yess a good saddle find is recommended, and just go slow and dont be afraid to back off once in a while. im on my own server so i build a base next to it just incase it goes tits up, cos it can as there are the centipedes in there so ya be carful.
If you have a frog that's high lvl, imprinted, with a good saddle the cave is stupid easy and you can just farm it all day freely. I have lvl 80, not imprinted with 127 saddle and I do have to heal once going through. Can also use a frog in ocean to get black pearls for the gas mask!
i use the Giant frog in that cave i find it way easier and you end up with a crap ton of chitin and paste because of the frogs special a harvest ability. also the frogs right click attack is AOE so super helpful.
This is the most helpful cave guide I’ve seen! I watched around 8 other ‘guides’ before I saw this. All were about loot crates (inc. this one), but at least you had the foresight to give directions in your guide.. you’d be surprised how many I watched didn’t. Very missleading video. If I was a new player I would be like "oh easy loot" and got my dino killed and probably lose all my stuff. This is not a beginner cave, there are high level enemies and they will mess up any non imprinted creature. I have personally never used gigantopithecus so I can't tell how good or bad it is but decent and probably better options are: mate boosted direwolves with usage of pack buff to reduce/increase damage (if you are solo use non mounted one to tank arthropleura's spit), baryonyx and frog. Megatherium makes short work of this cave but it needs mod with cryopods.
You need a megatherium or baryonyx at a high level. Agreed this video is misleading. I've died alot of times in that cave and I'm an experienced player
Id say go on your own with 1 dino you ride. Dont waste your time trying to get other dinos following you in caves the A.I for their movement can be a stupid joke sometimes always getting caught on little rocks etc
I dont know if you still can, but you used to be able to manuver the giant sloth into that cave. Destroys everything thanks to its buff til killing insects. Get a ton of chitin as well.
I use scuba googles, leggings, flippers with ghillie gloves and chest and take no damage. When I see the Arthropluera I strip naked and drink a couple med brews every so often until he dies and equip armor after. Tamed a lvl 140 frog on official ASA and went slow in the cave by pulling a couple spiders back so I didn’t have to fight them all at once
Use a barry mine is 13k hp 700m with max saddle and no gear on you because if you use gear your gas mask will take damage so only a gas mask needed i play on official nice and easy cave
I somehow only get only blue drops from caves and i dont know why. i used to farm the cave on carno island where also yellow and red drops can spawn, but somehow i only get blue drops (playing on privat nitrado with friends) and a friend always gets good drops.)am i doing smth wrong?
Is it just a bug or did they remove it but I miss when the supply crates had their color beam in the sky so they were easy to fine. Because now without their color beam. It is so hard to just find the crates on the ground. Specially, with all of the plant life and trees in the game.
I just did this cave with a 125 tamed frog, had 3.5k hp and 460dmg with a 106 asc saddle. It’s not too bad, you just have to jump around and not let the arenos get you stuck, what I do is agro the small flying bugs, jump high on a ceiling and kill them first, then jump down and kill some arenos while kiting the arthro, it’s not worth killing the arthro tbh, just grab the crates kill the titanboas, flying bugs and what arenos u can.
Your videos are so misleading. You should have shown stats of the dino, show how you cleared the cave as this is a highly difficult cave. Thank god I’m not new to the game
I have a problem with the caves... its mass spawned everywhere..idk how to fix this... i tried destroying all dinos but they just keep spawning back.. its undoable solo, im playin on a unofficial server with sum friends but its just pain for us. Any tips to solve this?
It's megatherium that cant fit through the whole cave. Theri was a huge debatable 1. Some people say they cant some say they can. Ive tried with theri and failed so i dont know. But that cave was always the best xp farm before orbital drops
@@ShneefTribe try walking backwards. I know how crazy that sounds but yeaaaa.... ark still is ark so walking backwards is still somehow very different than walking forwards. Most spots where a tame can't go through just walk backwards though and usually it just easily works
@@ShneefTribe Without cryopods i tamed megalania there and cannot fit out of entrance. So i flew my rhynio there, placed megalania as close as possible and grabbed it without any issue :D Same could work with megalosaur to bring him to the surface.

I know damn well he didnt clear that cave with a regular tamed ape with no imprinting or a helmet on it, Use a High level imprinted frog with a good 60+ armor saddle and about 5000hp with 450 melee and take it slow, the arthopleura will shred your armor even on a tame so try your best to get around the back of them where the spit can't hit you, Carry backup gas masks or scuba sets
Can you make more realistic guides with enemy's? What the point of making a guide in empty cave? And than call it EASY. For now your easy is easy cheat. If you wanna show loot box, you can just run or fly in in godmode. Sorry i like your videos, but sometimes they are unrealistic and can mess up, especially with new players or who didn't play on some maps.

Underwater loot is a complete waste of time (apart from caves) they've nerfed it into the ground and is not worth the time with the new buffed supply drops

Why is this game broken and we can't play with our friends online? Anytime a friend joins my non-dedicated server which means it's running off my computer we cannot go more than 200 ft away from each other or it will just rubber band him to me wherever I go and it's absolutely game-breaking and unplayable

If you only wear a gas mask and no armor the arthros wont break your mask.
Frog is best tame for that cave. Turns all the bugs to cementing paste. You'll never need cementing paste or chitin again!

i get killed so fast witht he frog mainly bcus the arthropods frogs melee just isnt enough to kill them fast enough to break all your gas masks

Do it the old fashioned way, walk a baby mega in there and raise it so its always in the cave.

If you can get a strong saddle this cave run with the frog will rid you of any struggles for cementing paste.

you have to put global illumination at atleast medium for the beams to show up

I just tried it with a level 260 ape in singleplayer and it gets run over so easily cant even clear the first room lmao.
U need to mate a pair and use an imprinted offspring.
Any dino with out bonus damage output/reduction will get shredded

I prefer using a wolf or two or a frog if I need CP. Wolf can fit all the way to the last loot crate.

They only destroy gear that uses metal for crafting it aka scuba and flak, everything else is gucci
