@ love the channel. You enthusiasm is infectious. My goal is to double my Blu-ray collection through flea market acquisitions at the one dollar price point. :)). I absolutely love doing this. Just picked up Juno last week. 🎉🎉🔥🔥
Glad you finally got on Letterbox! You're going to love the stats. Keep up the great work and keep having fun with movies. I don't know how you keep it up with a little one at home.
@@jcrashmore I don’t know either but I’m doing it! I guess just waking up super early to get everything done. Letterbox has been awesome, thank you again. Just getting use to it, what are your favorite stats to look at on it? And do you check stats from like week to week or usually wait towards end of year?
@@megamikethemovieman I'm kind of a stats junky so I dig through them all and I look at it pretty regularly. As soon as you get 10 logged you get to start seeing stats for the year. My favorites are seeing which directors and actors are showing up most frequently during my viewing. The genres and even all the sub\micro genre stuff is fun to watch as well. Over time I'm looking forward to being able to plot how I discovered certain films etc as well as how my taste has evolved since I started logging everything.
@megamikethemovieman 28 years Later, tbh. I'm going to do a city wide scavange hunt for dvd and blurays when I save up enough to go splurge big, before summer. We have 4 or 5 Goodwills, and a few Thrift shops. Plus eBay is a great place to buy and find movies- combined shipping 😀

Great ideas!! I definitely have a bunch of top 10 ranking videos and collection videos on the channel. I usually try to show any collectibles/pops at the end of my haul video every month so stay tuned for those. I do have a bunch of posters, you think the audience would like to see those too? Maybe I can include in haul video.
@megamikethemovieman I'll have to dig thru your channel a bit for top 10 videos, helps me decide on some movies I'm contemplating, if on the list. Plus always new stuff, so lists change a bit. I'll get the popcorn 🍿 ready.. 😃 😊

Thank you for the continued support, you are truly amazing and hope you accomplish all your new year goals as well. What movies are you most excited to try and see at the cinema this year?
I definitely gotta see more movies in theaters myself. I live less than 10 minutes away and I barely go as it is. I always dreamed about living close to a movie theater and I live near the best one with 20 screens. Also wanna do better by watching movies in my collection. You got some good goals in mind man! I hope you can achieve them!
@@VinceTheMovieMan Thank you, I hope you can achieve your goals as well!! Is theater one that offers you an unlimited pass? Totally would be worth it if you’re close and go consistently.

@megamikethemovieman yea that is a good catalog titles. But my most wanted announcement is the nightmare on elm Street 4k boxset. And some of kino upcoming releases I am excited about
One of my goals may be to rewatch movies *less.* The sheer number of my library containing so many blind buys means I must make first watches more of a priority than rewatching old favorites.
That makes sense for that situation. I using get through my pickups quickly so that part is easier for me I think. What are your most rewatched movies?
@@megamikethemoviemanTough call on that one. Depends on if it’s background or a focus watch. Off the top of my head I’d go Rocky, Iron Man, Die Hard, Top Gun: Maverick (22 times in the theater alone), The Gods Must Be Crazy, Halloween, The Lord of the Rings… Damn. A hundred *new* movies in the theater in a year? I thought I did well with 44 last year, not counting rereleases. There’s no way I could work a full time job, run a TH-cam channel, date *and* manage to get to a theater that many times, let alone find 100 movies I’d be willing to see. I couldn’t do it. How do you manage?
Jimmy Stewart is a great actor to explore. I’ve been buying up his titles like crazy and have loved almost every one so far. Audrey Hepburn was someone I’d never seen but I’ve now done three of hers in the last year, two of which in the theater. I just checked and that same Hepburn collection is available on Blu-ray for $43. I’d rather go that route. It contains all three I saw in the theater last year. Cary Grant is a for the first time with the anniversary rerelease of North By Northwest. Loved it and him! The Frank Capra at Columbia boxset that released a couple months ago has been an amazing resource to expand my horizons in classic film, silent film (never saw one before) and unknown/early roles for famous actors. The set was a blind buy. Twenty films and never saw a one. They begin in 1928 and I’m watching them in chronological order. Seven in and I’ve loved every single one, even the four silent films and one hybrid. I can’t recommend the collection enough!
@@SumDumGy I’ve always been great at managing time and there are a lot factors that go into it but my advice to people if you want to get a lot done in a day is to wake up way earlier than everyone else. Set the alarms you know, if that makes sense?

I dont have throw back days but throwback months. I like to take a month or 2 off of streaming and watch some of my collection and then subscribe to a new streaming service for a few months and then repeat.
@megamikethemovieman prime atm as i also needed it for the holiday season. Just finished watching the show bosch and bosch legacy. Really enjoyed that series. What show are you currently watching?
@ No shows right now, just trying to keep up with the movies. Occasionally I will throw on a sitcom at night. So Married with Children has been the sitcom choice of recent. And still need to finish Creature Commandos. And a little bit of Space Ghost on Blu-ray.
@megamikethemovieman funny you say that, it's weird cause I keep seeing married with children clips recently, think it's a sign that it's time for me to give it a rewatch. Lol
@ That show is so darn funny. I just love 80s-90s family sitcom shows. The jokes just can get so wild and uncensored you know? And we don’t see new comedies like that today.
My goal is to hit 500 subscribers by the end of the year. I’m at 104 and my other goal is to review every movie that I see in theaters this year because I started getting lackadaisical last year on that and my other goal is to see every single movie on my top 15 movies that I’m most an anticipated to see
Try to watch or get silents where it all began. I've the few horror silents there are. But I'm finding on DVD and VHS silents that are dramas or comedies just because they're silents. I even have on VHS the silent Wizard Of Oz and it's cofeatures. But definitely you need to take some resources away from dramas and allocate them to foreign horror movie especially Italian which has some of the big guns of horror. You need to see zombies, cannibals and giallo films. I think you mentioned you bought Torso and Deep Red. Those are good giallos. Good luck with your resolutions.
Been trying some of the Giallo stuff, Torso was solid. I have to watch Deep Red next. Haven’t been into silent films much yet, what are your top favorites?
@megamikethemovieman the few horror ones of course Phantom Of The Opera, Nosferatu, Vampyr, shoot I'm forgetting them! Metropolis is sci-fi but it's quite good that robot Maria was awesome! Also look for Intolerancia this was probably the most ambitious movie of it's time. I have it on VHS and my favorite part is the temple of Babylon. In the Videowatchdog fanzine I read that about 50% of all movies before 1965 is lost. But that issue was in the 90s. I know that each year movies from different countries are found all over the world. American movies have been found in Argentina, Panama and Europe! So maybe that % is lower now.
I'm OK with watching a film once and waiting years to re-watch it again. When you have 1200 films and TV series it's impractical to watch it over and over again.
