The humor was certainly lowered for his run but it was present at the beginning as well. Towards the end his character was more fleshed out but the stories were also terribly bleak @@therealpbristow
The *intense vibing* is so true, I was lucky enough to be able to see Sylvester and Sophie Aldred have a jam session together at a convention recently- Sophie plays the trumpet, and so someone found one for her, and Sylvester brings his spoons everywhere with him in a tiny little case, so he whipped those out, and it was great fun!
I wish the actual 5th doctors era had more of this kinda energy. It’s clear that all the cast had great chemistry and a bit more comedy would have really improved what is, sadly, my least favourite era of classic who. Still, watching the stories with the DVD commentary on does help a bit (especially with black orchid, that’s a brilliant track)
Naturally none of the TV clips shown aired on Australian TV but what a treat that you compiled all this for posterity! I've never really realised what Peter was like in this respect. brilliant stuff!

He was my Doctor but I think we only scratched the surface of how much personality he could have brought to the role.
