20 yrs ago! 20!!!! what in holy hell is happening!!! :( flipping love this track :) :) :) (still cant get into my head that the 90s were 20 yrs ago......... )
Someone said the word tourniquet, and bang I remembered this song. It's been 20 off years but it's been great to hear it again. And it's been added to my "forgotten songs" spotify playlist
For years I thought Mansun did this coz I had it on an old mixtape with wide open space. Been searching for ages and finally found it! Great song. Thanks for uploading!
.. kinda remind me of BUSH.... enigmatic singer, great songs...(virtually) ignored by British public..... life can be so fickle ...but great music can still be unearthed by the eternally curious..
somehow i missed this band when they were around. just stumbled across their album and now its on permaplay. love it. just wish i'd known about them back in the day
I was in the studio the day they filmed this. My dad had his business across the road & knew the studio owner. He let me watch. Me, a spotty 13 year old kid who knew a few chords, seeing a rock band cut a video for a few hours. I stood there pretty much motionless, taking it all in. It certainly inspired me and was an insight into how bands operate. They don't make anthems like this & others from the mid/late 1990's anymore.
I can't remember where I first heard them! I remember driving through the mountains of North Wales with my 8 year old daughter, singing at the top of out voices! Happy times.
I was getting ready for to return to work after the Christmas break this morning and the cat was hassling me to feed her. She kept getting under my feet so I asked her to ‘Give me some room’ which immediately put this song back in my head.
This song has stayed with me for years since seeing it live on TV (TOTP maybe?), and I often sing it in my head - could never remember who sang it though! Just googled the lyrics and found this and it's made my day
And they could pull it off live. Fond memory of singing this back to Dan at one of the London gigs with a suprised look back from him. Awesome. British Jeff Buckley?
When it kicks in I can't help but get the chills, does it every time which can be a bit unnerving when it rotates on the playlist when you least expect it. Imagine writing something that stirs that sort of emotion. Well done.
lol i met them after a gig they had in southend, i wondered through a door only to find them getting changed, they were really cool about it a signed a set list for me :)
I absolutely love this song. Takes me back to living in London as an 18 year old Somerset boy at music college. The whole album is great, if a little depressing! Love it all the same!
‘Flood’ was a few years too late to make an impact (although it’s a near perfect album) and ‘Despite Yourself’ was about 10 years too early. Love Headswim, wish they were more widely known.
Absolutely brilliant song, let down by a terrible video, which had nothing to do with the song. They deserved to be to be greater than what they were - But what a fuckin song!
ah this song makes me all blubby eyed and nostalgic for my long lost youth
Why doesn't this have more views? This song is a classic!
goombamakker n Agreed!
Because its not as good as other better songs
because they totally sold out
"Rock" by numbers

Amazing band. That entire album is so underrated. I remember seeing them do this on the Jack Docherty Show one late night....hooked from then on!

somehow i missed this band when they were around. just stumbled across their album and now its on permaplay. love it. just wish i'd known about them back in the day
I saw them in Manchester and they were awesome. Shame they never made it bigger as they were great songwriters and performers.

Still adore this
unique sound. brilliant, this band should have been bigger.

More like a mix of Sting and U2
I'd say Thom Yorke meets Chris Cornell
You're lucky to have been to their gigs :) :) Must have been amazing!!
It was a pain in the butt trying to find this song via the lyrics. I kept coming up with other stuff.
hAHAHA I just didthe exact thing
