About the Phoebe Bridgers song “Kyoto” I believe it is about her dad who has been battling addiction and he was very absent during her childhood due to that addiction. So Taxi Cab, I believe, is actually about Tyler Josephs relationship with God as he was raised Christain. That part is actually him telling the story of Jesus dying on the cross and the 2 men besides him on crosses but in his own words.
Another interpretation was of the three men as the father, son, and Holy Spirit, iirc. I have always been captivated by Tyler’s relationship with religion and how he’s expressed his struggles in such a poetic manner. The way I genuinely thought it was “throw my head off a plane for ya,” like Bruno was weirdly saying he’d jump off the plane, for most of my life. Finding out today it’s “throw my hand on a blade” is crazy.

Though I will say, my mid 50s father is a massive fan. So not JUST 16 year olds 😂
Men not understanding phoebe bridgers gets me every time
It was very cringy including those lyrics here
@@johnwerner69 youre just proving my point lmao
@@StrwbrrySunfwr well yes! I meant it was very cringe to include the lyrics to this video
@@StrwbrrySunfwr not the lyrics themselves
@@johnwerner69 ohhhh lol real sorry didnt realize that was what u meant
This was a great video, would love to see more of these
ty :)
Not a lyric but like I get so annoyed whenever rappers like add a “yuh”/“yeah” after every line. Like it’s like when people say “like” too much I focus more on the filler word than what their saying.
Lovers cross "he'll have to be a super guy or maybe a super god" is just kind of a weird and goofy line from an otherwise serious and really good song
still to this day any and every song by Death Cab for Cutie will have the most beautiful lyrics. Ben Gibbard is an unmatched lyricist.
Lil Wayne is a close second
My sister and I saw them live and immediately after had to get tattoos inspired by their lyrics. Seeing them live was like a religious experience
Wayne will swing from stuff like “I speak the truth, but I guess that's a foreign language to y'all”
To, "don't sit on my dick if you afraid of heights" 😂😂
fack still keeps me up at night
"people that have been killed by trains are really stupid right!?" clipped😭😭
Scream by Usher. Banger. So hype. The epitome of 2012 dance pop. We all know what it’s about. He did not have to say “imagine me whispering in your ear that I wanna take off all your clothes and put something on ya.”
And Jason Derulo didn’t have to drop “get down to business and skip foreplay, yeah” in In My Head, either
I always wonder what A$AP Gang were thinking in the studio when A$AP Ferg was rapping the refrain to Plain Jane
goofy ones what I immediately thought of was Bedrock where it was "and I gotta.......? GROCERY BAG. Like ???? HUH?
Aaron!!! I think this is the best video of yours!! You are the best and this video is so good
very drew gonzales video, i like much, very video, like a lot
i love taxi cab so muchhhhh omfgg shit is underrated as hell
"They say I'm up and coming like I'm fucking in an elevator" - Ed Sheeran, 2015
In the song "You Need Me, I Don't Need You". He wanted to be a rapper so bad, early his career
enjoying the new video style
Ty!
"and then I'll let you leave" imagine this is a first date that's gone wildly off the rails
If you’re gonna choose goofy ahhh lyrics from Bruno Mars the lyric “WE BE FUCKIN LIKE GORILLAS” in his song “Gorilla” never ceases to make me cackle because the song is supposed to be super sexy, and idk about you but nothing gets me going like two gorillas fucking
Damn the whole train part was just pure ignorance. People pretty regularly get instantly killed by trains at intersections. They go pretty fast and they don’t slow down quick.
That’s why I said “slow”. Also it’s clearly a joke.
@@AaronCrafty it’s not going slow if it’s killing you instantly. I liked and watched the whole video though! Just because it’s a joke doesn’t make it any less tasteless either.
Natural selection.
“I see your problem is, your proctologist got both hands on your knees while you’re bottomless” GOAT lyric.
The jayz lemonade bar made sense tho 😂, since beyonce made a album called Lemonade where she talked about him cheating on her...😬
you need to make an entire video on lewis capaldi, his lyrics are truly so atrocious 😭
uh uhh come on he has some really great songwriting💔there’s so so much worse i feel like he’s at least decent. not always super deep but definitely not atrocious imo
L
"now the day bleeds into nightfall, and youre not here to get mw through it all." bro is scared of the dark
I watch these kinds of videos all the time. But idk man, something about your demeanor has me audibly reacting. Like w/Grenade I was like “yes! I never knew what to envision either!” Lol good video bro
There's a popular singer named Anne-Marie, and her songwriting is terrible (I just assumed so based off of the two songs I've heard from her). The two songs I heard from her being "2002" and "Friends." Excuse me; I mean "F.R.I.N.D.S", with no 'e'.
pitbulls lyric in fireball is the greatest line of poetry i have ever heard, “I saw, I came, I conquered
Or should I say, I saw I conquered, I came”
"Throw my hand on a blade" always made me picture woodcutting tools
Like the blade in the table? He just kinda... sticks his hand into it & cuts through his hand
Habibi by Sik-K has the line "ya nasty don't swallow my kids"
I lose it every time lol
i gotta say, you're one of the funniest people i've ever watched. i like you (an jo!) very much. the pubic hair line won't stop sending me omg
The whole fashionably late album by falling in reverse is a comedy gold mine
My heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest... I'm so gangster I'm so thug...Hey soul sister... Whole song is a mess.
Numbers by Skepta has ad libs of 'Calculator' and 'That's a Three!' . Good song and Skepta has some really good lyrical work but these little ad libs crack me up.
love the vid btw!
There’s a song by the wombats called “is this what it feels like to feel like this” and it makes me mad. What does that mean????
LMAO
“Hear my cwy”
Thank you for that "No, I did." I absolutely died.
And I know you love Shrek, cos we’ve watched it 12 times, and maybe you’re looking for a fairytale too, but if your dvd breaks today, should have got a vcr. Cos I’ve never owned a blu-ray. True say.
what is this somg
@@bnnuyhun Ed Sheeran, Wake Me Up 😭
I always imagined the blade line as him putting his hand on one of those wood saws that sit on a table.
There’s a 90s r&b song called Too close by Next - and it starts with “I wonder if she can tell I’m hard right now? Hmmm 🤔 “ as a child my mum would play this song and I would innocently sing along not having a clue what it meant… the whole song is about getting a man hard…
Your conclusion made me think of Smino because he finds every weird funny way to talk about sex and it's honestly so entertaining "i got stuck in the game like the Sega broke and I had to pull out and blow in it"
There’s nothing funny about those Phoebe Bridgers lyrics? It’s just about how her alcoholic dad is killing himself
I’ve been listening to this song for awhile and never knew. Gonna put up a pinned comment on the video. Thanks for letting me know.
fun fact! i first heard fack when i was 8❤️❤️
Trench is a great album from twenty one pilots! Y’all should listen to it!
yuno miles is on a whole notha level
9:03 *insert "The Ballad of Lemmiwinks"*
NASCAR aloe is just outta pocket to be fr shits fun at times to listen to
Ong seeing him live is a whole other experience
