One thing that I didn’t mention is that the lens does not have stabilisation. You can still use the IS on any of the E mount cameras that do though. The older Zeiss version does have OSS.

Thanks for following up with this critical flaw. Sony's cheap refusal to include OSS as it did on all prior such lenses (including the Zeiss as you note) continues to drag down their latest, double-priced lenses for almost the entire Cinema Line that lack IBIS.

Just imagine the 24-70 f/2.8 II with internal power zooming on an DJI RS 2. That would be the dream for many people, especially for run and gun like Weddings. That would be really awesome to have, because you wouldn't need to put one hand on the Zoom ring and put tension on the Gimbal motor while changing the focal length...
I really hope Sony is going for this!

The oss was one of the big things for me of the old lens. With that lens it was basically gimbal like with the active ibis on the a7s3. Bummer this doesnt have it

Definitely a great PZ lens for run and gun video shooters. As you mentioned at the end we wish Sony to brings more of PZ lenses esp. 24-70 PZ f4 or even 24-105 f4-5.6 PZ would be killer lenses 🔥

Great review and quality production! I'm surprised you don't have much more views, keep up the great work!
Just wondering what filter and adaptor did you use on the 16-35mm f4 in this video?

This Sony F4 16-35mm lens would go well with the Sony A74 for crop mode filming

Hi to CVP ! great video, for me who is going to buy sony A7s3 or FX3, your rewies are must and you tel everything that is needed. Also it was same in this video.
I just have one question. What kind of filter combination you have on 16-35 in this video? for example at 16:50 ? Thank you !

No there isn't! Aputure made one years ago, but there hasn't been any new ones since which is reallly annoying considering the FX3, 30 and the Alpha cameras could really do with it!!! Jake
