In the UK, there's so many apps like this. Meanwhile, in the US, people are getting arrested for dumpster diving, begging, etc for food....and the giant grocery shops would rather destroy food rather than give it to anyone for free....
Same in canada where I live. Even when u work at a restaurant or coffee shop, etc u aren't even allowed to bring home anything that Is leftover at close ..they make the employees throw it out instead of take it home
Sarah Grant at Victoria’s Secret they cut up the bras that are discontinued/returned/ can’t be sold so that no women in need can get them from dumpsters and wear them because it brings down the brand or something... fucking horrible
My husband used to work for Topps Market and the amt of food that would be thrown on daily was unreal! Although being on a tight budget, a few of the employees worked it out with him at a specific time to meet them at the back door and they would help him get foods for us that were going to the dumpster!!! My husband worked there til he was 71 yrs old as the $ was tight at the time!
Video idea: Jesse has to bake something BUT you're only allowed to give him verbal instruction without helping him and he can't look it up ahead of time
I worked in a independent restaurant that is taking part in the 2G2G food waste revolution. They send us stastistics from time to time, and we saved something like 10,000 meals over a couple months.
I work in hospitality and literally hate doing closing shifts because of how much food gets wasted. Luckily the place where I currently work gives food to the homeless but there is literally so much that has to go in the bin.
I can never understand when people can be like that 😂 honestly my favourite time is a Saturday night when everyone is asleep at 2am and I can just read or be productive or think about the world 😂
my mom loves this app! here in Denmark (where the app is actually from) sooo many places have some type of offer on there. my mom always just gets so called “magic bags” from the grocery stores and it saves so much!
I just downloaded it to see what was about. Nearest place was 6 km away. Checked out a city I visit often and there was absolutely nothing. I love the idea of the app, because who doesn't like cheap food and preventing food waste, but it'd be great if more places got on board with it.
I‘m sure it doesnr hurt to ask your favorite food place close to you if they‘ve heard about the app :) maybe they would love to join but just havent heard about it!
I work at a restaurant and the amount of food we waste is so sad and upsetting. And then thinking of all the waste other businesses have as well. I'm glad that this app is a thing where you live!
Yes Grace. Thanks for showing people this app. maybe the more people that know about it, the more business will get involved. it'll definitely help reduce waste. im going to suggest it to the place i work at. we do all types of food and cater for alot of people
One if the best vids ever! Absolutely loved this. I’d like to see you do more vids about reusing and recycling. Like your zero waste one. Loved that Not unique but I’d also like to see you do the 24 hours in my bathroom or in my car etc. Love to see what you’d do with your time. Keep the awesome videos coming grace
Grace, I just came across your channel and few days ago and I'm obsessed with your videos. You're so authentic, so kind, so funny and so down to earth. I'm really down at the moment and I swear your videos keep me company and make me laugh. Thank you so much!!
Instant Like. I love that you tried out Too Good To Go. I've enjoyed it and tried out so many restaurants since I discovered it (even got some great beers in a shop through the app 😅) (And I adore you, Grace ❤️)
I live in central London and had this app for months too scared to try it, now I use this app at least 3 times a week - it’s amazing value! I either grab it on my way home from work, or sometimes on the way in. Some mystery bags have been enough food for the whole day, all for around £2.50 and fantastic quality if you choose the right places. Highly recommended, unless you’re a fussy eater, as you get really random stuff but I love that it’s a surprise.
What a fabulous idea!!!! We live in a tiny town in America so I’m sure it’s not available to us but our daughter lives in a big city so I’m absolutely going to pass this info on to her! You are precious Grace.....just precious!!! 🥰🥰🥰
When I went to London for winter wonderland we went to cafe forty one for breakfast, I definitely didn’t expect it to be so fancy either 😂 the tofu scramble from there is so good!
Anna Olsenius I found it and downloaded it. Sadly there aren’t any locations near me but this will be very handy when I’m in town. Thank you so much :)
OMG back in June last year I was in London and used the app quite a lot! Its fricken amazing! discovered this greek restaurant thanks to that app and had such ammaaaaazing food for a low price and all the while preventing some food waste as you said, hopefully toogoodtogo will become more widespread cos If I lived in London id use it everyday haha
anyone else surprised with how much she manages at breakfast, for someone who struggles with eating any breakfast im so amazed/jealous with how much she can have at breakfast
I'm just so happy thqt someone else gets equally excited as I do by cheap stuff when they got a good deal ahah! I'm always repeating way too many times like "wooooow, £5 for all of this - normally this would have been like £15" "wow i saved so much money" "wowwww such a bargain"
I am so glad that you did this video about this app, i downloadedbit last year and I wish it had more visibility because we must waste less food and it is such and amazing app!! Thank you grackle!!
Video ideas: - doing your astrological birth chart and seeing if it's accurate - trying to bake chorelywood bread at home - trying to make your own dress - making a recipe but you only know the method, not the ingredients or amounts
This video was really fun! I live in a very rural area that doesn’t really do this, but it’s a fab idea. I remember when I was a kid my friend’s mum worked as a dinner lady at the local high school, and would bring home all the unsold food she liked the look of at the end of her shift. I don’t know if she was allowed to or not, but it was that or let it go to the local pig farm (which is still better than throwing it away). It was always fun seeing what she brought home!
I live in the Netherlands and the app is also avaible where i live (The Hague, city centre) so i am lucky! I live on a very tight budget and his is a way for me to give myself a treat once in a while.....I love it!
Omg! You are so lucky to have the option of an app like too good to go. Here in Florida I have not seen an app for restaurants that offer this type of service for selling you the extra food that they might have😕😀😊 I really enjoy watching your videos.
This is such a fun video to watch! I am in the same situation as you; I live just outside a major city that has restaurants that participate in this app, (San Francisco), but my local restaurants don't. (Except for Peet's Coffee, good for them!) I do, however, work in the City, so I'm going to check out the app tomorrow while I'm at work and see if I can bring home food for dinner or the next morning for breakfast. It appears you were able to actually get some breakfast meals when the restaurants opened. I thought this was for leftover food at the end of the day, but I guess some just throw together a surprise bag and see if people will buy them early in the day? Anyway, thanks for the fun review. I watched The Drunk Bridesmaid's video about Too Good To Go in NYC. Then yours in London. Maybe I'll do one for San Francisco!
I’m literally so jealous of the yo sushi, whenever I go on the app it says it sold out the night before but whenever I look in the night for the next day, it doesn’t give me the option to order from yo sushi!
I used to work at Starbucks here in America and at the end of the night we could throw out upwards of 100 breakfast sandwhiches at a time (not EVERY night, but still). The fresh boxes could be anywhere from 5-10 since they go bad faster, but that was almost every night. Occasionally me and my coworkers would take stuff to a homeless shelter, and take food for ourselves. It was such a waste.
I am going to the UK in the spring and I might actually do this. It will save me and my travel companion some cash and stop food waste. Thanks for doing this video.
I have an idea for a video series thats actually partially inspired by your own video recently when you tried to overcome your homesickness. Its basically you trying out an activity that's far out of your comfort zone every other week or so. And it can be from both ends of the spectrum, so one week something like Paintball or a martial arts class, the next Ballet or a class on sushi making.
MeganLives if you don’t know some of them actually have a phone . And pretty sure you could get internet for free everywhere nowdays , at shop and restaurant etc .
I’d never heard of this app before, but I downloaded it, and there are loads of restaurants/cafes in my area. So excited to start using this app! Thanks for the recommendation! 😊💕
This app sounds AMAZING! I am definitely going to try it. I had no idea that this was a thing in the UK! It seems so pointless that good food is going to waste when it is perfectly okay to eat. Thanks for posting about this!
Video Idea: you go to a pottery painting place (I have one in my area called Art 4 Fun - can't recommend it enough)... and then subscribers give requests as to what they want to be painted on a piece of pottery and you do it to the best of your ability! Obvs either you keep it for yourself or the subscriber pays for it so they can keep it - or whatever! Another version of this could be taking a friend with you and they have a picture they want you to draw however they only give you verbal instructions as to what to paint!
i’m so happy that my local pizzeria gives free slices near the end of the day so they don’t waste it. they don’t care if you’ve paid for anything or not. if you ask me, i think that if you’d rather throw away the food than give it to somebody in need, you can tell your only priority.
video idea: try baking macarons (and then let your fam compare with bought ones and make them guess which ones are yours) or something like that (would LOVE to watch that) x loved this video by the way, I am too obsessed with too good to go but there aren't many participating restaurants in my area either :(
This is insaaaane!! Wish I knew about this app before I went to London last year! I would’ve had Leon for every meal from this app haha! Crazy value for Yo Sushi as well!!
i feel like you saved even more, london prices are normally more expensive and in my experience the price on the site isn't the london price! also id love to see you put your baking skills to the test and make some pastries by winging it without recipes!
i dont understand this. like the breakfast part. how can you order the day before for breakfast and then what happens if they sell out, do you have to find another option? and is there a queue? if your first in the queue do you get the first not sold item and then so on and so on?
It did make me laugh that u felt bad qbout eating in leon as u got such a bargain so u went and got a drink in prett and ate ur leon in there 😁💗 loved the video
Amazing thank you for this video we watched it recently and never considered doing this, had to travel across London today and we got a fantastic meal each and an extra snacky cakey bag through too good to go!
Yo sushi, the thing you said "what the heck is that" and liked it... It's an inari taco 😍 my fav! Thank you for this video, been considering ordering from yo x

Yes or Papa Booth!!
Yess BA test kitchen style
i can feel him complaining about the way grace would explain literally anything!!
Look at Grace, staying away from home all by herself and not even commenting on it! So proud of your progress!
I was about to comment the same thing!! So proud
@Gee Powa wow what a funny person you are. go deal with your insecurities somewhere else
Wait... I'm new... is she struggling with agoraphobia?
@@rebekahyoder9335 she gets very homesick. But she's working on it!
Gee Powa lmao what the fk is wrong with you
I worked in a independent restaurant that is taking part in the 2G2G food waste revolution. They send us stastistics from time to time, and we saved something like 10,000 meals over a couple months.
I love these vids! It's so important to take away the stigma about reduced and leftover food! Esp. with the climate crisis rn xx
Hope Parsons-munn I agree!!!
I work in hospitality and literally hate doing closing shifts because of how much food gets wasted. Luckily the place where I currently work gives food to the homeless but there is literally so much that has to go in the bin.
Is grace the type of person to wake up and just be so positive!!! Love that
I can never understand when people can be like that 😂 honestly my favourite time is a Saturday night when everyone is asleep at 2am and I can just read or be productive or think about the world 😂
Grace: *has just finished eating a huge breakfast*
Also Grace: "I can't wait to have lunch"
my mom loves this app! here in Denmark (where the app is actually from) sooo many places have some type of offer on there. my mom always just gets so called “magic bags” from the grocery stores and it saves so much!

Same😫

My only place is a Toby Carvery. Booom
I work at a restaurant and the amount of food we waste is so sad and upsetting.
And then thinking of all the waste other businesses have as well. I'm glad that this app is a thing where you live!
That sushi is called inari, it's wrapped in a sweet tofu skin thing
My fave too, they're sooo good. And so hard to find, not all sushi places do them
Mine too! So obsessed with them
I can't swallow them down fast enough either lol
our girl is out here creating and i'm loving it! thank you grace!
Grace you just SAVED my LIFE with this video!!! I love you soooooo much!
Clowny's Adventures ahhh hope you are fab 💓💗💜
Same
I always eat exactly when you upload, this is amazing to watch with my dinner ayyeaaa. And love the idea and love the food videos the most.
The YSL model feels out of place with the fancy people.
I always forget she modeled haha
Yes Grace. Thanks for showing people this app. maybe the more people that know about it, the more business will get involved. it'll definitely help reduce waste. im going to suggest it to the place i work at. we do all types of food and cater for alot of people

Thank you so so so much for this app, this is insane- I’m so excited about this now?
ur videos honestly help me calm down (i can get very stressed) and i’m so thankful for u grace :)
“there’s this CARROT salad... which has ORANGE on it?????!!!”
oh grace
She means theres also the citrus fruit, orange, in it😂

Grackle, 2020 is doing you good, getting out of those comfort zones, it seems like you're not bothered at all staying away from home! love it :)
What a fabulous idea!!!! We live in a tiny town in America so I’m sure it’s not available to us but our daughter lives in a big city so I’m absolutely going to pass this info on to her! You are precious Grace.....just precious!!! 🥰🥰🥰

oh Gracks, you really haven't ventured enough into Asian food! Judging from your sheer amazement of some of your meals!!
It was really fun and nice to see too!
I wish we had an equivalent to this in my country. Seems like a great way to reduce food waste, support restaurants and save some money
Öhh look if you have the karma app! We do in Sweden!
Anna Olsenius I found it and downloaded it. Sadly there aren’t any locations near me but this will be very handy when I’m in town. Thank you so much :)
Have you tried to good to go? Because it is in many countriws

If you eat vegan, you do have to eat quite a bit to get enough food. Meat is calorically dense.
I'm just so happy thqt someone else gets equally excited as I do by cheap stuff when they got a good deal ahah! I'm always repeating way too many times like "wooooow, £5 for all of this - normally this would have been like £15" "wow i saved so much money" "wowwww such a bargain"
in an evening full of stress bc of uni exams, a video of grace is such a blessing 🥰

This is so clever. UK and Europe killing it again. This would never be a thing here in Australia.
I think I heard some from Australia say that it's available there
11:50 i believe that is an "inari sushi". its tofu stuffed with rice. Love your videos Grace!
This video was really fun! I live in a very rural area that doesn’t really do this, but it’s a fab idea.

Only den Haag really no other cities
I live in a small town in the netherlands, so unfortunaly hardly any stores on the app :(
I love these video can’t wait to watch it. It’s nice to see influencers addressing how much food is wasted and how we can stop wasting so much. X
Cooking with a Riverford farm organic veg box delivery! They send all sorts of veg you don't usually get in the supermarket
You girl are so refreshing! Just stumbled across you the other day. Delightful. And so creative. Cheerio!
Love this video and your channel! Interesting and genuine and funny content whilst learning how to be frugal and healthy
Grace, where can I formally submit my boyfriend application? I don't want to clog up your business-related email. Cheers.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Been thinking the same
Cute
She is definitely super cute!
Grackle thank you so much, I so need one of your videos right now, feeling so stressed out today and fed up, but know this will help!
Really enjoyed it. A surprise bag, couldn't wait to see what good stuff was in it. I hope you do another one of these next time you're in London.
Grace is always teaching me new ways to live a better life
Grace you are so funny. This is a great app/service/idea! It seems so simple, I hope more places start doing it.

I’m literally so jealous of the yo sushi, whenever I go on the app it says it sold out the night before but whenever I look in the night for the next day, it doesn’t give me the option to order from yo sushi!
Grace staying away from home so much at the moment!! so proud!
I work in a large buffet restaurant I wish they’d do this. I know we throw away a tonne of food every night 😢
I love that concept, good eye grace for finding and trying it out !!
Yes QUEEN! I love that she's promoting a reducing-waste app!
Loved this video. Interesting and relevant content. Well done yet again Grace!
Love you Grace! Your vids are so great always, i never know what to expect next 👍🏼☺️❤️
I love your videos, they’re always brilliant & so enjoyable !
I hope the homeless are aware of this app . It would really benefit them . 💛
MeganLives if you don’t know some of them actually have a phone . And pretty sure you could get internet for free everywhere nowdays , at shop and restaurant etc .
I love all your video ideas and content! Fave youtuber x
Grace : finishes breakfast
2 seconds later: I cant wait for lunch
X2
I’d never heard of this app before, but I downloaded it, and there are loads of restaurants/cafes in my area. So excited to start using this app! Thanks for the recommendation! 😊💕
been waiting all day for this lol. you're so funny n genuine Xxx
yessss been waiting for you to do this!! They do it in other countries too, was a life saver in Paris which is normally v v expensive
Omg at 9:43 I totally thought there was a guy behind you ahahha I was terrified
The pocket thing that you ate with the sushi is called ‘inari’ and is made out of soy beans. Kind of like a sweet tofu
The American version of this app is called Food for All!
But only for Boston and NYC :/
Yes I saw Taz's vid and thought was such a good idea to save food waste, great video to raise awareness ❤️
I'm so stupid 😂 I thought there was a creepy guy watching through a window behind you at 9:41. Then I noticed it was just a picture 😂
i’m so happy that my local pizzeria gives free slices near the end of the day so they don’t waste it. they don’t care if you’ve paid for anything or not. if you ask me, i think that if you’d rather throw away the food than give it to somebody in need, you can tell your only priority.
video idea: try baking macarons (and then let your fam compare with bought ones and make them guess which ones are yours) or something like that (would LOVE to watch that) x loved this video by the way, I am too obsessed with too good to go but there aren't many participating restaurants in my area either :(
This is such a helpful tip for people who want to travel to London!
This is insaaaane!! Wish I knew about this app before I went to London last year! I would’ve had Leon for every meal from this app haha! Crazy value for Yo Sushi as well!!
11:53 I love this part “what the hhhHhHheqq” and then her face 😭😂
i feel like you saved even more, london prices are normally more expensive and in my experience the price on the site isn't the london price! also id love to see you put your baking skills to the test and make some pastries by winging it without recipes!
i dont understand this. like the breakfast part. how can you order the day before for breakfast and then what happens if they sell out, do you have to find another option? and is there a queue? if your first in the queue do you get the first not sold item and then so on and so on?
WOOOO I’m earllyyy! So excited for this vid. You go girrrllll!!
An Easter egg hunt with father booth please!! Think it would be iconic
It did make me laugh that u felt bad qbout eating in leon as u got such a bargain so u went and got a drink in prett and ate ur leon in there 😁💗 loved the video
I LOVE this video!! Downloading the app right now, hopefully they have stuff in my area 💕
I hadn't heard of this app before but I have now downloaded it and ordered my first bag for tomorrow 😁
Thank you for doing this video!
11:50 that is tofu skin and it's rice inside it (if u are wondering)
Aww was hoping for another one of your 'how to spread marmite' tutorials for all of the 'we tried British food' vloggers 🙈
Great idea! This app should be available worldwide
Amazing thank you for this video we watched it recently and never considered doing this, had to travel across London today and we got a fantastic meal each and an extra snacky cakey bag through too good to go!
VIDEO IDEA - You should get your family to create a mystery basket either sweet or savoury and you have to create a dish from it
I was just waiting for you to upload a video
Marisa O'Neill sameeeee
Just was thinking when is Grace going to upload another video then Bam
Fun unique idea: coordinating outfits with meals? Only eating (insert culture) food? Only eating foods that look like other foods?
Yo sushi, the thing you said "what the heck is that" and liked it... It's an inari taco 😍 my fav!
Thank you for this video, been considering ordering from yo x
‘we got a vegan box’ *holds up the fish one*
Karma is a similar App and if you become an Ambassador (which anyone can do) you can help the independent cafés to join and save the wasted food from them. The only difference is Karma, you can pick the items you save rather than get a surprise bag.
