If I was a kid now trying to stay with the trends I would be so broke!! Like what kid can afford a Hydroflask! I remember I used to save all my money just to get silly bands and Japanese erasers😂
@Lili 2o1 I think hydroflasks became pretty popular when the whole "VSCO girl" became a thing. I know they are insulated and keep liquids warm/cold longer than a regular water bottle, but they can cost like $30 or even more
I use fashion trends occasionally to snap up what I like to wear in the years of drought. Like dusters, shirts with tie backs, gaucho pants, and navy. I used to always wear black and have started to incorporate some tan, and may incorporate white. I generally like jewel tones if I’m going with color, so some greens and reds are awesome. But navy is REALLY hard to find sometimes! As it’s a jewel tone AND a neutral, it’s a holy grail color, but it’s been rough to pin down. Needless to say, this last year helped revitalize my wardrobe. I’d been wearing some things since about 2007. 😅
Fun fact I go to university in Austin, Texas, and this is where Whole Foods was founded! So we have this really large Whole Foods with a whole bar and restaurant on the second floor :D so boujee right
I've had avocado toast (or avocado in general) at least once a day since I was a child :-) it's literally the best! Sometimes I just open it up and eat it with a spoon.
I went through a phase of loving it and now I'm ill and even looking at it makes me feel terrible haha, I hate illness for forever putting me off foods
This is just the best video idea I've seen in a while. Oh Grackle, I cannot WAIT for more of these kind of challenges xxx. I feel like the Japanese cheesecake, a mirror glase cake or the massive dumpling would be other fun trends.
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy ALL your videos. I live in Canada and I do not know how I came across your videos but you have made 2020 amazing for me. I cannot wait for free time and for my kitchen duties. My kids are starting to enjoy your videos too. Keep them coming! They have olive oil tastings around here....with breads and olives.
I have a gluten alergy and if you want to have a better textured pizza crust, you simply just have to cook it in the oven for longer. I like a crispy crust, almost like a cracker-crust, so I leave mine to cook in the oven until the edges are burnt. The edges don't taste good but the rest of the pizza is actually delicious. Also, for anyone wondering about gluten-free bread: it is very dense and not at all fluffy or light, but the taste is pretty good and if you make a turkey sandwich and put lots of toppings, it's a great, healthy alternative! :)
Always like watching your vids! Other trends that were kind of a thing that I can think of: Bubble tea, avocado icecream (selfridges), Bubble wrap ice cream (China town), Korean Bao's, Cronuts, pumpkin spice on everything, cauliflower steaks, matcha
I feel your pain haha, on placement two of my PGDE and I've just become ill so trying to plan through the pain to stay on top of things 😭😂 you can do it!

Removing most gluten is a side effect of my bizarre diet. Gluten itself doesn't harm me, but the glucose it is invariably included with screws up the therapeutic properties of my diet against mood swings.
I make my own cauliflower pizza crust because the commercial crust is so mushy. Rather than doing the “cook & squeeze” method, I grate raw cauliflower and lightly brown it in a skillet to get the moisture out. It holds up beautifully and tastes so good!
Best oat milk is for brand called "Glebe farm". And if you make porridge with this milk it just blows your mind (yes putting oat milk back in oats.. i swear it works).
Low B12 can also cause mouth sores that are exacerbated by various foods. It’s not an effect in everyone, but my mother’s is pretty bad (needs injections twice a month), and she can’t even have black pepper. It sucks.
