The crazys are such an experience. Im from montana and grew up in the many mountain ranges here. This video is fantastic. The crazys are our hidden gem that only the truest adventure seekers head for
When I was 11 my grandpa told me a story about the crazy mountains and since we live in Livingston I see them every day and I’ve always wanted to go there AND I WILL ONE DAY, it seems so beautiful and mysterious I would love it.
I really appreciate this edit, particularly around the storm section -- witnessing their decision making process and how tentative and respectful these three are is a good message. It would have been easy to cut it in a way that sent the message "huge storm = go shred pow," when there are so many more factors to consider to ski/board responsibly. Nice work TGR crew!
Just can’t explain how much I enjoy this video, even more now when the season (in Spain) is over... Counting day for the next season! Thank’s and keep on shredding!
Amazing movie. Jones is just so talented. Trying to fathom the fitness levels to be able to exist in the freezing backcountry, hike mountains and board down such challenging lines. Give me lifts and hot tubs!
I’ve been to some crazy places but the best is hands-down Montana,. I was up there doing some geology work in October in the tobacco root mountains, and it snowed 12 inches on us overnight so The next day when we were out hiking up miles to the Ridge it took me probably twice as long because I couldn’t believe the faces I was seeing in the things you could ride in literally the middle of nowhere.. definitely untapped amazing touring
Watching this during the quarantine has me jonesing (no pun intended) for the mountain. Jeremy, Travis Rice, and a select few "get it", that a snowboard is attached to your soul and not your feet!
When you see those clouds ☁️ coming over the ridge in Montana - you better be ready - got 3’ over night in the Big Snowy mtns Nov. 1997- it’s hard to be totally prepared with those huge storms
In the aerial shot of the camp (6:00) you can see 3 sleds parked next to camp, so the lines are human powered but all the camping/logistics seem to be supported by sleds. Disappointing but I believe someday we'll see solely human powered winter expedition style splitboarding trips from industry professionals and hopefully sooner rather than later.
@@nigelbirse4128 You can attack me, I don't really care... Never implied I was better than this team, honestly I'll never be at half this teams level. These are the best of the best, was just saying that we will get to that point someday and that exploring these remote places without the need for machines is an exciting frontier for the sport. And look forward to professionals setting the bar for how to sustainable explore these remote places and beautiful places. In the same way seige style mountaineering has been replaced with "light and fast" I expect a similar evolution in how we approach the mountains for splitboarding objectives.
@@micahreese982 Totally agree but 50lbs on your back and 80lbs in your sled is not uncommon on Denali. That's the advantage of sleds when compared to just carrying weight on your back but obviously you have to make route finding decisions that are compatible with pulling an 80lbs sled.
False advertising with the sled access, fun trip though. Robin needs to learn how to read a map, every Montana map has the Crazies on them. Maybe they were looking at AAA maps
crazies? to me they're normal but to bad you just got pow, to bad you didn't get powder where you can bury your board and have to work to get your nose up, out and around but some longer wider turns up the banks or even over, nice trip though campin1

Robin rocks. Nice to see the gals ripping it. Do more of that. Great inspiration for my daughters.
so nice thank you !

I love TGR’s movies and short films. I really hope they do more skiing in Montana after TGR Bozeman.

I am in love with the vibe of this video. Just friends spending time with the mother; in tune.
Good video. No need for flips and jumps. Just mountains, hiking, riding and some camping. Classic Jeremy Jones.
The gnarliest riding I've seen in a long while.

Huge fans of Teton GR. Thanks for using our music. We are truly honored!
Wow that was truly amazing.
I love watching these videos.
These get me so hyped for getting tons of snow and having a blast in the Montana mountains.
Everyone's riding was on point the turns were huge and steep!!! Amazing riding from all so good too watch!!!!
This is why I live in Montana!

what is your job ?
Another great video. Thank you TGR!
Damnnn. I’ve boarded over my footsteps, it is an uneasy fealing! Can’t imagine doing it at their level. Respect!

So badass huge fan of Teton Gravity Research so awesome videos you'll produce film the music and wonderful people involved
Always love the quality of Teton. Always a joy to watch.
Always alwaysing
Thank you! We appreciate the comment and are stoked to keep creating quality stories like this.
Very well shot and edited. I always love Jeremy's lines - got the added bonus of Mark and Robyn.
Jeremy Jones is a true Legend! Definitely one of the best vidz EVER!
Hmm, every map of MT i've ever seen has the crazies on it.
Dudes obviously didn’t let her drive.
So Gnarly! I like near the Crazies, I've only gone back there once to ski crazy peak, It was super nice though
Great film. Loved every minute of it. Thanks. 😁🏂
that mountain and jeremy were made for each other!
Love this video, thank you. I’m a huge fan of the Crazies and cannot wait to do a trip like this.
true spirit! Loved it!!
This might be the best snowboarding vid I saw this season! Those rocky mountainfaces, look rad and such beautiful details and shit 🙂
Straight up goosebumps guys.. So sick

Can't wait for the snow to fly. Been too long since I've been on my board. Wohoooooo!
this is so sick di love it
Wow awesome scenery love the camera work. Would love to see this in real life. Keep making great videos so I can live vicariously through them.
You guys know how to have a great time! Awesome video!
This is such a beautiful video
My sis lives south of the crazies in RL and says there is a small ski resort there with one lift.
Amazing trip. You guys rock on the rocky mountain!
Just wow!
The shots from the side of the skier are important because it shows how steep the grade is.
This made my soul so, so happy
After watching this I realized it's not the mountains that are crazy.
At 9:08 on the vid thats definitely sled tracks
You snowmobile your gear into the Crazies and then hike from there...
Camera crew sled
16:08 you can hear the heli hahahah
There is a Skidoo in the opening camp scene tucked behind a tree. th-cam.com/video/LOysjQ5dxvs/w-d-xo.html
I remember this story when I was growing up in ND
I miss MT
love it!
so gooood needs more views
Love the video, need the tracklist!
Weird, every map I've seen has the Crazy mountains northeast of Livingston. You sure you're reading it right?
Those split snowboards are actually really cool
Mine is a noodle I need to upgrade to a Jones model
Camped out there earlier this year... truly a spirtual place
The Crazies are definitely gnarly AF
Great film. The crazies are awesome
Anybody know the name of that funky track?
U should get helos to drop gear off to your locations so u can shredd longer!
And who is flying the drone ? Excellent work !
Wow that looks pretty tame riding for jj. How come I never get a call .
Notice the sled tracks at the bottom of that chute?

Yeah Jer!!!
"we wanted a storm and we got one" hahahaha =]
it would take me all day to hike/skin up for one run. how do they do it?
They take all day to prepare and hike. But you see it is worth the effort.
A qn le voy a contar mis penas , no se las pienso contar a nadie solo al mar y las estrellas
So what I got from this video is that Jeremy Jones is the most in shape person on the planet.
10:22 Is Jeremy Jones a Jedi?
Looks very remote and rugged
the BOSS
Where are their boards on way up? And skies on way down?
split boards
Those mountains belong to the Crow Nation. Most beautiful place I’ve ever been.
Maybe in their traditional boundaries....
"There's no like FOMO of who's doing what on Instagram." Yeah because you are literally making content that makes people have FOMO lol.
Far out man
Are there sled high mark tracks at the bottom ish part of one of those couloirs?
NRS cole camera crew sled
Welcome to pucker point!
Where Jeremy is right at home.
Funky track ID at 7:30 anyone?
Somebody time stamp the song names for me🙏🏾🙏🏾
No glacier melting kerosene was used to get these powder turns! God bless.
whats the song at 13:00?
When I Get There - Maya Isac
this is real mountain
the shot at 4:36
Montana sucks! I heard Wyoming is amazing though.
We heard Colorado is where it's at...
Teton Gravity Research yes...
No, Wyoming isn't where you want to go, not enough people, Montana is where you should be
flowlineproductions go f yourself
I like that northwest that's where it's at
Those mountains are kinda dangerous the bring bad luck but that’s from the tail I was told
God.. I watched this years ago. I’m finally here
nice out in Montana?? i got a job offer out there wondering if i should go
great video .. now you guys have anew friend here and in Instagram
I wanna hang out with Jeremy.
Oh wait! is it a heli 🚁 filming ?
👌
I wanna know how many flights Jeremy could get on a stairclimber...
Those Mountains are suppose to be a Bigfoot hotspot .Creepy things have happen in the Crazies ...
So they hike up on skis, no snow board, then go down on a snowboard, no skies on their backs...what am I missing😂
they have splitboards. the snowboard comes apart into two pieces so you can hike up. Looks like skis but isn’t.
You’re missing a lot bud
@@susannewilliams that’s actually really cool😂
@@samcharles3363 - Mega fun!
Great question, I'm a skier and watched the whole thing looking for the skiing video. I came to the comments to figure this out too.
Sideways snowboarders. Point that thing downhill!
The only people in Montana who haven't heard of the Crazys are tourists or transplants. Lotta those around, though.
