Just look at how many ski areas have closed in New England due to lack of natural snow and inability to afford snowmaking. Evidence is in the pudding. Inconsistent winters are brutal. 😢
My local ski area closed in 1998 due to the expense of having to make snow. I can’t envision it even being feasible for them to operate today given the way our winters have been lately.

I think there is more unity regarding climate change than we may think. I don't believe that we can legislate global warming away. But I agree we should all work toward a greener future for future generations. At some point the messaging went from "preserve the earth for the next generation" to "vote for me or global warming will be an immediate threat to your survival." I do believe global warming has been weaponized by politicians to gain votes but this video was a refreshing non partisan take. If you ex politics and polarization over the topic out, I think we'd all be surprised how unified we are on creating a more sustainable world.

Oceans evaporating we, most of us anyhow know we will be totally extinct not only but the impact of snow making and the terrible initial ripping up of these mountains for the exclusive use by humans and their carbon trail throwaway consumerism is a hopeless situation. I am from NH and Hawai'i and I prefer to see mountains in all their natural beauty and not the raided and unnatural looking mountains. Who gave anyone the go-ahead to begin this disservce to nature from the beginning? I thought this video might have been about saving the "live free or die" state, yuh know, the environment? Right-leaning environmental scientist in the energy sector here. It’s because the data only goes so far when a) the loudest people associating with the climate change movement are screaming at people, blocking roads, ruining artwork, and generally being complete douche bags instead of becoming scientists and engineers and b) people have other priorities like putting food on the table and paying their mortgage that puts climate change on the back burner. Besides, no politician is taking climate change seriously until they start advocating for more nuclear, which republicans statistically support more than democrats.

Has anyone ever looked at the average snow fall in New England? We're no different now than we were 100 years ago. There's waves of warm less snow winters followed by heavy hitters.
It's the temperature, not the snowfall. The snowfall will still maintain through mildly increasing temps, but only so long. Eventually, probably pretty soon, a temp threshold will be hit that will cause the snowfall average to plummet.
