This thing saved me on my new game/hardcore/no merchunt run with Krauser. It really helped that tiny extra bit of speed to evade some attacks. Same with Verdugo.
Bro, the glitch saved my ass during my professional run fighting Krauser, the increase in knifing speed made him easy work to get through, it also made getting from place to place fun and speedy as well.
Got this charm on my first playthrough in standard, finish hard and pro with an s rank with it on new game plus. Tried to do pro to get an s+ rank, so new game and I just realize how much I relied on the charm.
I see alot of people saying how useless this charm is but i have to agree with the minority. Those few extra steps are the difference between being hit/grabbed and escaping. If you've played on professional and have experienced how much faster, tenacious and more aggressive the enemies are then you know.

I think the speed boost would help to though. I wasn’t sure if I could use the infinite weapons to get the Typewriter, so thank you for confirming that.
I told myself before release that there would be a Ditman glitch reference in here somehow. I was disappointed that I thought I was wrong. Then I heard about the striker charm which I never unlocked myself sadly and just had a huge smile on my face.
Useful to have especially on professional runs, but in no way crucial. I do one quick shooting range, get few tokens, and if I get it it's great, if not life goes on. There's no time to do entire shooting gallery if you're going for Professional S+ run. Unless you do all the skips and door glitches later on, then you can have an entire hour to play with shooting range.

I've beaten the game for the 7th time with all the difficulties, plus I unlocked the platinum trophy and got all the bounce weapons all but still couldn't get the streaker charm.
The mod that doubles this charm effect specifically makes the perfect run speed relative to the walk. Then again making the overall move speed 1.1x with a striker charm effect of 16% is literally perfect movement overall. I play with that and the enhanced enemy aggression and a higher difficulty mod on NG professional. To balance it I add kick open doors and dodge roll. So much fun. (Note, I only modded AFTER S+ NG Pro, and doing a no merchant, no saves, no heals, no storage, no deaths, pistol and knife only challenge run on NG assisted. So no I didn’t need mods to enjoy or beat the game)
Can’t believe capcom put in the glitch. This glitch would make you and your animations 3x faster. Downside was Ashley is still at 1x speed but enemies are 1x as well

Wonder if any speed runner will one day get the striker charm in the first draw and make the world record, it must be a lot faster. They will have to save it once they got the charm.
At the beginning of the game when Leon running towards the first house, it felt really fast, how does that compare to the runner speed with this striker charm?
I can't even get this charm on my second playthrough even getting all pirates on everything and saving them for ng+ because I only got duplicates and spent 50 of the side mission things to get more gold coins so I have like 50 gold and silver and have reloaded save and tried all the combos and still can't get it on ng or the ng+ I have the worst luck ever
Is it me or having this charm also increases enemies speed? I’m playing on NG+ 6 just for fun and holy shit, enemies are way more aggressive and faster than before (playing on hardcore, the enemies aren’t as strong on brand new game with same difficulty)
Adaptive difficulty. It varies based on your selected difficulty, health, items in inventory, number of kills, etc. There's a reddit thread that goes into detail on how it works, as well as damage, crit chance, and stagger values.
Weird that the charm should speed up the slower bits of the game but the difference is negligible. And where it shines is in combat and not getting poked or grabbed.
Admittedly i was disappointed bc it doesnt make that much difference overall. I get it , avoid hitboxes etc, but main reason i wanna move faster is traversal speed not just combat speed
Meh, even if it is factually faster, the majority won’t get much of a reward from it, specially considering most players don’t walk 24/7 to the objective.
To be honest, that few step difference can mean evading a hit box

This charm makes the game much easier to avoid attacks and faster for backtrackings.
sadly it's going with you only on NEW GAME PLUS, speed runners don't have time waste on shooting range to earn it again.

Actually, they all decided to ban the use of the styker charm for both new game and new game+
nah the ditman glitch felt like a 15% speed boost
In a 5 hrs speed run,if u obtain a striker charm in the middle game(assume u get it in 3rd hour), u save at least 5 mins in late game
On top of that, imagine the amount of situations where you manage to avoid a grab you normally would have gotten.

This should've been the default speed. Leon is too slow.
He noticeably slows down whenever enemies are nearby, it was really friggin' annoying when going for S+ Pro and trying to just run past enemies.

I got the Stryker my first time using the machine in range and I was pretty stoked didn’t know it was this good
If ya call a fraction of a second that big a deal. The amount of time it saves you is more a waste of time to get it from machine

The exact same charm doesn't stack, 3x strikers will give you the same speed as one.

That is because the original ditman….. was a glitch. They only paid homage to it by adding a small speed boost.
