The problem with Mao, is that he learned both legalism from ancient Chinese history, which promotes absolute servitude towards the one ruler, and communism from Lenin, which promotes taking people's property away to achieve equality, then somehow combined these two together. The result, is everyone treated him like a god, allowing him to take everything from the men he hates, and distribute to the men he trusts, such scenario shifted so many times to the point where no one he could trust, and everyone hated him. Then he died. His wife and the last trusted men got thrown into jail. And now people still praises him because the party is never wrong. Honestly I do admire his idealism and his willingness to pursuit it, too bad his methods were crap.
