37 minutes for two songs. That usually means lots of positive talking, but in this case more a MIXX of confusion, overwhelmedness and just straight up wondering - JYP, why would you debut them like THAT? The girls are clearly talented, but oh boy do they have to debut with a mess... Hopefully JYP will do better in their 1st comeback because this, especially given their usual quality output, is not up to their standardt :/ What are your thoughts?
I personally like this debut song "O.O" cuz it's like a teaser of what their lore/story and also a teaser of what they capable of. What seems kinda off for me is the first transition where there are no sounds before they chant "NMIXX" (I hope there's at least a subtle sound bite or sound effects to those jellyfish/fish), but I tried to listen of this song in spotify where there are no silent moment just straight into the transition of the song and it was sick and I really like it, much better transition than here in this MV.
So true. Both Song sounds like thrash looks like mixture of 10 to 20 different beats. Like you cant vibe it at any point or remember it for any of its part. And this is what it is I myself like all jyp bands songs bt cant accept this!
What's wrong?? this song is completely to make sure about the question where the concept goes (MIX POP) and It's pretty good song honestly but yess TANK is more better but the girls saved this song completely
I think you got it right, it's like 2 producers being told to each wrote half for both songs, and then the A&R just went eenie meenie miney mo for which half gets to which song
honestly this wouldn't be as bad if it was like a comeback or something, but it's their debut tho, people are already giving up on them because of that song, jype was so dumb to do this...
I dun understand why people would put on a straight face and say this is alright? This is horrible. If this was my artist, I would literally stab myself to death. Listen to real music instead, like Oh My Girl, WJSN, Dreamcatcher instead. Those girls make real music and are cruelly slept on.
This debut song is so confusing to me to the point that i'm speechless. What was the producers thinking? Do they thought that with these kinds of music, it will go viral like itzy dalla dalla? No. The lyrics of dalla dalla makes sense and not like this one. Even the title is boring. Atleast when its a bad song, it pretty much has verse prechorus chorus....but this song straight up messy. I'm really disappointed. The only interesting is their dance and vocals. Thats it. Oh and their budget for the mv is on another level 🙌
Well some people thought Dalla Dalla was ahead of its time, and maybe it was a bit, but the message of the song kept people listening enough for them to get use to the musicality of it. This song suffers from not having a very appealing message to keep me wanting to listen to it. They lost me at Coke Zero and popcorn. Product placement in a video is one thing, that was a straight up advertisement and it was not even subtle.
I still remember people hating Pixy and Billlie debut song when in reality Wings and Ring x Ring is way better than this song I'm soo sorry for nmixx they deserve a better song, what a waste of talent honestly
@@reiiyalwayswithpixy the talent is the last thing that import to de people now. Next Level structure but it was poorly mixed and executed. The girls are amazing because they have good vocals and can dance really well. The second part was so amazing for me and they should've just stick to either of the first or second. I think JYPE did them dirty. I'm expecting a Good Girl Bad Girl debut song or cutesy concept or some ethereal under the sea effect but... I feel bad for the girls.
Dont compare it to next level because Next Level has SM style but in Nmixx its Mixx Pop its exactly 2 Songs Combined without transition but their Group Name. Also if you are confused about the song watched Andy and Jas reaction they literally Explained Everything dumb people dont.
Also it not under the sea Concept since their Single means "To Sea" But in Nmixx MV no water was left in the earth thats why sullyoon and jinni was crying then 2nd part was their dream which is the return of sea creature and being free even in the air.
Actually Tank is really giving us a message about the peoples reaction about O.O and now i realized that O.O was intentional that way. Like it's just Genius af.
JYP to Nmixx's composer/ producer: "Let's combine BOCA, Paint The Town & Next Level..and make it sound like 'Math Rock' but more Poppish and let it be extra messy..."
The title “OO” has two meanings: the face expression when we open our eyes wide when we are surprised, and “Oh!”. When we see the performance of NMIXX “O.O”, we’re really surprised. this is the content that JYP ent. created which is the new genre called "MIX POP"
I don't think the concept of mixing two completely different sounds in a single song is something that JYP has created. Will they popularize it? Maybe, who knows. Did they invent it? I doubt it
In my personal opinion the first song I heard in kpop with an aggressive transition and that doesn't look anything like the rest of the song was love cherry motion by a loona member And although it's also shocking, it blends perfectly with the song and doesn't it's chaos like this song 💔

Yup, big missed opportunity to showcase the girls' strong vocals. I'm really disappointed, waited so long for Lily's debut and the group gets given a disjointed, jarring, and yes I agree, messy song. The producers tried too hard to be experimental but came across hamfisted in their attempt. The girls are so talented I can cry that's how upset I am with jype.
Are u really that surprised? Jyp did this too with Tzuyu and Jeongyeon, these two girls were so talented in sixteen with strong deep voice but jyp dont let them sing😂
@@madao2794 yes I shouldn't really be surprised but was hoping against hope that with a group of strong vocalists something better might come out. Every member can sing. Am not really into jype ggs because of jype's obsession with high pitched singing so wouldn't know what each Twice members sounded like predebut. I am just following nmixx because I know what 12 year old Lily sounded like and was hoping jyp wouldn't try to kill off her vocal colour. Her tone was still there in her qualifying covers so had false hopes they'll let their girls' vocals shine. Her vocals is still great but missed her lower raspy tones in a better song. Ditto with the other girls, esp Haewon's vibrato wc brings vocal texture to a song - it was drowned out here. Jype needs to learn less is more and a song is a form of storytelling in 3-4mins - don't try to cram 2-3 different and incomplete stories back to back with incomprehensible lyrics and label it a new genre. And also, don't have a coke advert for a debut! If ppl have to listen to it multiple times for it to grow on them then it's not a very good song at all. The girls' talent and live performances made it more bearable, but the song is still messy.
Yeh this is definitely weird and not up to standard and it's so sad the girls are so talented as we can see in the covers but jyp decided to give them this weird song and the lyrics were even worst. Overall this debut was all over the place and not for my taste. The song started good but after that it became a mess.
Not entirely horrible, but yeah, I rather be honest and constructively criticise the songs and take a few dislikes than just say "oh its cool" and be done with it.
@@NiclasKPop really like it about you that you give geniune reaction seriously the song was below average and you mention the negative rather than trying to fake it to like it. You are really cool!
In my personal opinion, it feels messy and not very pleasing to the ears. I feel like it could have been a good song if they had just made the whole song sound more like the middle section of the song.
Dude stop lying to yourself. I can’t fathom how yall genuinely like this song? It’s honestly the worst debut i’ve heard in all of kpop. Not even exaggerating. It’s just poorly produced, horrible written lyrics.
they know before u all react. Check Out, Popcorn And Zero Coke Got Them All?, Come In Cross Those Arms, Sit Down Can Almost Hear The Roar It's Just A Teaser Hoot, Watch Me Coming Soon Don't Be Surprised Yet Calm Down, Down, Down
For me the most annoying here is the lyrics, the lyrics is SO WEIRD tho kkkk But the production is good except for the instrumental arrangement and the vocal mixing, also the instrumental choices is too mainstream and cheap
NOTE: THIS COMMENT is not mine i only copied it Whether you like the song itself or not, for a debut honestly this has the most clear, straightforward lyrics, song & MV visuals a new group can have to introduce their group, like, "hi, we are nmixx, just so you know what to expect ok.. -& if u like it hit follow n subscribe button, but yeah follow follow me u guys- :)" & I can see why they chose it over Tank. It even has a beginning, the middle part & a conclusion to their song/MV. Like in a movie theatre, they invited you in, told you to get your pop corn & zero coke ready, sit down, open your eyes wide & look at what they had to offer. First verse they said it's just a teaser & warn you to not be surprised yet despite what you hear. Halfway, when the melody gonna change they tell you to wear eyedrops. Then the genre changes, establishing that this is the real thing (despite how dreamy & too good to be true everything looks), asking you to follow their journey. Then the beats change again (wakes u up from the dream like world) & they reminds you to blink your eyes (because you are probably shocked/flabbergasted like "O.O" about what you just watch & listen too. They expect you to react like so, good or bad is another story. And they conclude the song asking, "how was it?" - the thing you just watch/listen just now. They asked you to follow their journey again. It's really clear what they are trying to show & do. So now it's up to you to love it or leave them be. Plus with all the O.O, ㅇㅇ stuff, I honestly feel like it's actually a really creative & well thought song/debut. That being said, there are catchy parts in the songs which make it addictive the more u listen to it. Tho the only part I wish they left out/do better is that rap in the beginning, because it sounds pretty forced. But I understand that they want that wtf impact in the beginning. And i got addicted to it in the end anyway. So. 🤣
tank has very good verses & bridge but the chorus ruines it :/ and as for o.o the only good part was the superhero verse. i wish the whole song was like that part. bc the beginning and chorus are horrible. but mv was amazing, choreo was really good. girls have so much talent so i'm looking forward to their next cb. :) hopefully it won't be a mess like this.

I think this song is very cool. not strange, jyp managed to get out of the comfort zone.. this is a good start, 2 atmospheres made into one music video.. not everyone can make a song this good, the sound and visuals don't play well either It's okay to criticize but don't be too insistent, just skip it, don't watch it. really don't appreciate other people's hard work
It was an example to easier explain to people what I mean when talking about the construction of the song, there's nothing wrong with comparisons, especially when its all about the production and not the girls themselves.
He's just referencing with the structure change, it's easier that way because everyone knows NL. No one is attacking the girls because they are amazing. It's the company decision and production's fault.

Overall this debut was all over the place and not for my taste. The song started good but after that it became a mess.
O.O MV It just switched genre when it came to 2nd verse that's why it's confusing.. but the arrangement is literally the same as a normal kpop song.
We all expect too much! 🤣
I think it's freaky fishy fishy not fresh
Absolutly is horrible please all those people who is reacting is just trying hard to like it but they know is pretty bad
Yeah I know
Just random parts put together and hoping that it works but it doesn’t work at all
@@clashertim So True.
Chorus sounds like loonas paint the town
His name "Dem Jointz"
Ngl the chorus of Tank is a meh but I can't stop listening to this song, esp for work out playlist 😂
they know before u all react.
Check Out, Popcorn And Zero Coke
Got Them All?, Come In
Cross Those Arms, Sit Down
Can Almost Hear The Roar
It's Just A Teaser
Hoot, Watch Me Coming Soon
Don't Be Surprised Yet
Calm Down, Down, Down
Please react to B.I (iKON former leader) thank you
For me the most annoying here is the lyrics, the lyrics is SO WEIRD tho kkkk
But the production is good except for the instrumental arrangement and the vocal mixing, also the instrumental choices is too mainstream and cheap
NOTE: THIS COMMENT is not mine i only copied it
Whether you like the song itself or not, for a debut honestly this has the most clear, straightforward lyrics, song & MV visuals a new group can have to introduce their group, like, "hi, we are nmixx, just so you know what to expect ok..
NMIXX introduces their own genre called "mixx pop" w/c is a mixture of diff genres n 1 song, d genre is inspired frm their name w/c the "N" is evreything like NEXT NOW NEW and UNKNOWN N, while "MIXX" means mixed w/ anything.
That explains why the song has many transition
Wtf jyp doing the girls are having so many potential and energetic but that old jyp messed I feel so worried about the group if they compare to other debut these debut is the worst...... So let's hope for better song for next comeback
O.O MV It just switched genre when it came to 2nd verse that's why it's confusing.. but the arrangement is literally the same as a normal kpop song.
But seem like it's unmatched things
Well I think this song is so fresh and it feels like a new blood transfusion to K-pop
Fresh? new? It's just a pure mess lol
SM has been doing music like this for years, but better. It's not new and it's a mess, poorly executed

Positions are out! Main/Lead/Sub is just my opinion which can lead to be like that but doesn't have to. Through this broadcast, each member revealed their position in the lineup."
Next level is better
Let's talk about this song like TASTE OF LIFE mind blowing but stuck in your head and y'll just walking in to the life
I think this song is very cool. not strange, jyp managed to get out of the comfort zone.. this is a good start, 2 atmospheres made into one music video.. not everyone can make a song this good, the sound and visuals don't play well either It's okay to criticize but don't be too insistent, just skip it, don't watch it. really don't appreciate other people's hard work
And I thought Kepler's debut was a mess. Honestly, they should have just given us a Twice or Itzy comeback.
its bad in first heard but little grow to me the song
Ugh, again with the "nExT lEvEl by aEsPa" just stop. Stop comparing they just debuted oh my god
