Not to disappoint anyone but this is not how you start a car after 33 years of sitting. First you'd start by cleaning the fuel tank and putting new fuel then service rest of the fuel system then possibly change engine oil and pre lube rocker arms and camshaft that is probably dried out like an African desert. When that's done we could start thinking of starting the engine. This would be the proper way of starting an old engine to save its life even more. Cheers. 🙂
@@chevyjohnson7457 Wrong! No engine can handle bad treatment. But if you give an old Mercedes just what's required from its service plan you will be amazed how reliable and durable those cars really were!
Vielleicht sollte man mal vorher einen Oelwechsel nach so langer Standzeit machen. Zumindest den Motor nicht so hoch drehen :- ( Das ist alles andere als gut für so einen Diesel nach so langem rumstehen.
Mein Vater hatte einen 300 D Automatik mit 80 PS in dunkelgrün .Das war ein sehr schönes Auto war nur die Federung kaputt sonst gar nichts unverwüstlich .
Did you check everything over before attempting to start it? It's your car, but from what I seen you appeared to just start it. You could have sucked a mouse in to the air intake.

Agree, I also cringe when people high rev a cold engine and especially like this one that hasnt been started in many years
Change all filters, new oil and fluids.
And DONT rev a COLD engine like a maniac.
