Bless you,, lol.. I Look forward to trying a dram.
As far as I understand, the French oak is much more tannic and drying in the mouth than American oak tends to be. As I recall from visiting Ardbeg, Dr Bill wanted the Corryvreckan to be 100% French oak at first, but it was much too drying in the end.
Yes I believe you are correct there ☺️ it must be difficult to get the right balance between the wood and the spirit in particular with European oak, which I’m guessing is why you often see sherry casks made of American oak and refill European casks rather than fresh ones ☺️
Sounds really interesting to me so I had to order a bottle 😱
I really like the Mackmyra Grönt Te, a little young but nevertheless yummy.
Thanks for the review!
Sounds very interesting. I have to try it! Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching! 😃
Hoping to test it next weekend at the Öl & Whiskymässa in Malmö. Looking forward to it
Wish I could go as well! Hope you get to try some amazing stuff 🙌🏼
@@swedishwhiskygirl Hopefully. Going for a tasting of whisky from something I never heard of Adelphi/Ardnamurchan. Have you tried anything from there?
Just saw the piece you wrote for SMWS. Beautifully written and reflective. Any chances of some SMWS dram reviews?
Oh thank you!!
I’ve done some before, and could probably do another few as I have some bottles at home ☺️ is there anything in particular distillery/spirit type you’d be interested in seeing?
Sounds like something I might enjoy, but I really do need to slow down buying bottles...
I have a couple of whiskies (at least partly) matured in cognac (or, at least, brandy) casks, but one is definitely weird and one rather antiquated...
It's so tricky not to be tempted by all the interesting whiskies that keep popping up, but it's nice sometimes to take a little break and appreciate what's already on the shelves ☺️
Sounds like an interesting malt.
Do you know if is or will will it be available in the US.
Oh I’m not sure about their distribution markets I’m afraid!
