The ASPD from Eben Mod Y is awesome and lets him function pretty well as a laneholder, while also providing some pretty decent AoE; big fan.
Having so much more damage compared to the first run of the event means you can spawn camp the boss to not deal with the intermission blades, the difference with my first run of this stage a year ago is pretty evident: • [Arknights] - NL-EX-8 ...

I love the strategy of "How do we deal with the blood blades? We just force his phase transition at the red box so he is never in the path of a blade" strategy, lol. I was wondering how you were going to deal with the blades with your Niche and I was happily surprised by it.

Just realized that if he doesn’t heal to full health when not moving, being healed to full health doesn’t put him back in phase 1.
Just change the question from "How do we stop the blades from reaching him?" to "How do we stop him from reaching them?"
His 2nd mod makes his s2 a bit more reliable now, s3 full charge time got reduced even more and he has some AoE as well. Great module imo
The Mlynar event patch also has a sneaky "buff" to Eben's talent 1 mechanic.
Before this patch, the special charge (only used against Elite/Boss) is always the FINAL charge that he stores. Even when using S3, which temporarily converts all of his stored charges into the Elite/Boss charges, when you turn off the skill while he has less than the maximum amount of charges he can hold, all "special" charges will be reverted into the normal ones.
After this patch, if he manages to store 2 charges or more during S3, when turning the skill off one of them will be converted into the special one. This aspect has great synergy with Mod-Y since trapping that special charge grants Eben 30 ASPD, and with S3 you can do it very easily.
That's interesting, I didn't know that! I did notice when he stores one charge with S3, and you turn it off, the charge will always be the "elite" charge, but I didn't know about the other part. It's not necessarily always a benefit, but that's good to know.

He rarely achieves his ceiling anyway.
Mod Y deceptively buff his normal attack by 20-30%, if you can trap 1 charge using his 1st talent his attack speed is increased by 30.

@abd rahman Hakim basically mod x makes him have a higher max damage output, but mod y makes him better in consistency. I wouldn't say he's 'saved' with this module, it's an improvement but not by much.

... So turns out you can let the blood swords leak... I didn't have to struggle so hard killing all of them while sutrless like my life depends on it the first run of the event...

he's already a Elite/Boss killer at the start, one of the best for it and mid at everything else. With the module Y he's now better outside of Elite/Boss killing because of 36% AoE damage when there's enemies around target, or 20% extra damage to target if they're alone.

I hate this video title. His mod x is better suited to s3, mod y to s2. Let's not pretend he went from garbage to godlike, he went from good to good. He's still nothing outstanding, but let's not act like he was unusable.
But that being said, I do find his mod y is slightly better for general content.
Uhh, first of I think his S2 just kinda sucks regardless of modules. Second of, Mod Y means I actually get to use him in stages more because it gives him some mobbing capabilities, instead of just bringing him to oneshot two enemies the entire run like I would if he only had Mod X. Not saying the latter is necessarily bad, just way more niche; 90% of the time, if I'm doing a low op run, I'd bring Mod Y.
An example would be this very run, if you bring Mod X here, you lose to the first 5 crabs.
@Krys i use his s2 more than s3, s2 is good, only issue being the stack locked spawns, they do very high damage. But I guess that makes sense, I'll be using his mod y more, though I still prefer x against bosses.
