I just discovered your Channel and I am so captivated by your beautiful artwork. I'm just trying to learn how to do mixed media. I don't have a lot of fancy supplies but I do have what you use today. And I also noticed another video that I will watch. I am very excited to have found you. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Love and hugs from New Mexico in the USA
I'm a new subbie. I saw your SHORT on gel print scraps card and went to your channel. I wanted to watch all your videos so I subscribed. Happy to find you!!! TFS Austin TX USA
Beautiful 😊 I love this technique although I often forget to use it. Those circles are divine. Both the thick and thin areas add such fabulous texture 😍🇬🇧
Happy you like it!🥰🥰 It's a fab idea to use tissue for the left over ink. I will try that! Maybe an old tea bag would also be nice for the left over ink.
Wow! I haven’t been using stencils for very long and this is the first time I’ve seen your technique. So cool! I’m going to try this as soon as the sun comes up. 😊
Hi susanna, I am pleasantly surprised that you are not asking us all to join Patrion etc like everyone else is currently or other online courses. I WOULD NOT BLAME YOU OF COURSE but I am a pensioner and could not do so. I will therefore stick with you until the time that you leave us . Thank you for you inspiration. Much lovexxxxxxx ❤
These really are nice..im about half way thru and that's about where I wouldn't stopped..im not brave..I just did 4 large pages today...none are my style..but im making a gift.
Loved watching this whole project and the way it turned out. I love the Distress Oxides and inks and this gives me some new ideas to experiment with. Thank you!
Gorgeous!!! 😍 Thank you for showing me how to use darker colors to make the bright colors stand out (and provide contrast). I had no idea brown could make these other colors "pop."
I tried this technique, following another similar video, and found it worked best on copy paper. Watercolour paper was least successful (cellulose, not cotton), but it seems to work fine for you. Your pages are so much more artistic than mine! I'll try again, doing it a little more as you did.
A watercolor work made with a lot of sensitivity and creativity. Nice final result. I felt good watching you video. Very useful and interesting information presented Thanks
Enjoyed watching this process and the pretty results! I'll be using your word circle idea often. I have a bad habit of spending as much of more time picking out a word or phrase ask do completely the whole spread. Lol
Just became a follower😊 Enjoyed watching you do these pages. I'm a mixed media artist and I recently started making books. I'm excited to fill pages in my journals. Love you ideas.
Beautiful! Just like all the works/art you do. I love that you are not afraid of using bright shiny colours! I love them and you always show me new ways to match them. I have a question about something that you said here and got me thinking: why you would not use this inks for making something more "important" and hanging it on a wall? Would they not last? fade? I have just bought a bunch of them and I am very curious now. Thanks!
Happy you like it!🥰🥰 I believe they are not lightfast when they get in touch with sunlight. I never tried these inks on my walls.... but I'm sure there is some kind of test anywhere on YT.
J aime beaucoup ce que tu réalises ... dommage que je ne parle pas anglais , j apprécie rais encore mieux ton talent ! Ceci dit , bravo ... je continuerai à te suivre 😁🤩
When drying the pages after using the 2nd stencil you mentioned watercolour paper then mixed media paper. I wondered what’s the difference please between the 2 papers? Thanks
I'd say mixed media paper is not as porrous as watercolor paper and also less textured as it suits more mediums such as colored pencils or markers. If you are only painting in watercolor I'd recommend watercolor paper, for other materials or mixed media I'd use mixed media paper.
I’m new to using inks. I got confused when you said you used an oxide ink and distressing ink. What effect or application is being attempted to use two different types ? Versus using all oxide ink? Second question and embarrassing to ask, wondering if my oxide ink is dryed out since I can’t just rub it on stencil and then activate with water . Am I supposed to wet the oxide inkpad first and then wet the paper with a water spritz? I will use my heat tool after watching it gets a deeper color.
Distress Inks are ink pads that I primarily use for making backgrounds. They don't work good for stamping. The Distress Oxide Inks are available in the same colours. The difference is, Distress Ink is just ink and will stay vibrant, transparent and bold once they are dry. Distress Oxides are ink + pigment. The pigment gives them a white coat I would say. They dry more mat and milky and they are more opaque. So a mix of both inks gives interesting results. These inks work best with water applied after you've applied the ink to your surface. You can experiment with layering. If you Ink is dry I am not sure if you can rewet it with water.... I would say it needs to be reinked with a reinker.
@@SusanneRose this was helpful, I realized that the oxide ink pads I bought from amazon were dried out. The entire shriveled felt pad fell out. When I tried to use them. I was like oh I didn’t realize these inks were powders 😂. I also wondered why they were advertised as the TH 2017 collection 🤦♀️ not a good vintage year for inks. Luckily, I can return them.

I would love to to purchase your stencils where can I ordered them I live in Canada or I could use a US destination. Thank you
We are shipping to Canada! Most of the time it goes faster than to the US. OUr Stencils are available at rubberdance.com
What watercolor journal is this one? I can’t wait to try this with my stencils!
Its from a german brand "Kunst und Papier"
So fun. What spray are you using there? Also which glue are you using?
Thats just water and I am using craft glue
