Artist: Dropkick Murphys Song: I wish you were here Usually I add the artists name and title of the song in the title of the video but I'm trying something different.
It's a Bawstin. You've GOT to try Shipping Up To Boston. It's not like this AT ALL, you'll be so hyped! Stacie from Boaton (How many times can I say the word BOSTON?!)
I’ve just added them to my Spotify. I’m into dark, gritty voices and this seems to fit that niche. I love me some TexPerkins, Lenard Cohen and Nick Cave so cool! I’ll happily give them a go.
If you thought this video was me being sassy.. you should hear all the insanely crazy foul language I'm over here shouting at my computer right now for NOT WORKING when I try over and over and over and over to connect OBS to TH-cam so I can live stream! It's literally failing in so many ways and even though I'm doing everything 100% correct.. it wants to say "FAILED TO CONNECT TO HOST" and I'm ready to burn this whole fucking house down because of it! /endrant I'm so tired of this shit!
His voice in the more ballad songs like this is rough for sure, but the more up tempo songs fit perfectly. This was a bad first intro to Dropkick Murphys.
Dennis, you look miserable trying to get through this song. And I'm suffering with you my brother. Not trying knock the message of the song, but I think I can remember this one time where I put a fist full of gravel in a blender.... real similar sound... here's to keepin it real 🍻
This would not have been my suggesting to start listening to Dropkick. It’s a good song but not their typical style and Al’s voice fits better with the harder stuff.
Yeah I figured that based on the description the person that recommended it to me gave. I obviously realize this is a very heart felt song but wasn't basing any of my opinions off that. Merely basing it off my ears telling me that his voice is very.. MEH at best. I'm willing to check out more from them though if the guy singing in this song isn't typically their lead?
LOL Dropkick Murphys. Nope, the fart noise and NO NO NO is appropriate for Dropkick. You have a Ren shadow on the monitor there. They are a Boston Red Sux staple of shit - "Tessie" is an anthem like "Sweet Caroline". The suckiest of the suck. Someone did you dirty Dennis. Sorry they subjected you to this... Someone is mad at you friend. You know you are in for it when you see an accordion....
honestly I think he figured I would enjoy it because of the subject matter of the song and the fact that I lost my best friend to suicide. But damn that guy can't sing for a damn! I've never taken a single vocal lesson in my life and I could do better without even trying 😬
@@LouisFourie-e6e me too! I'm happy to see reaction channels who can be real about something if they aren't vibing with something. Wynand did the same with Ren's vocabulary in kujo beat down and he kept it 💯 and explained what his issues were. I'll ALWAYS respect honesty! 🫶🏻
I can't hold back anymore. Up until this point I've remained super neutral even on the songs that I didn't care for. I figure.. if I be my TRUE shit talking self.. I will lose some subscribers that will get their feelings hurt, but I'll also gain a bunch of subscribers who THINK LIKE ME but don't have a platform to really speak up on how they feel! Plus.. I'm at my funniest when I'm negative and criticizing things! I honestly had more fun doing this reaction & being a smart ass then I've had with almost any other reaction I've done! Even if I don't make anyone else laugh, just getting me to genuinely laugh a few times made it all worth it for me! I almost DIED when I decided to play the Price is Right (YOU LOST) sound effect immediately after the song ended! I kept my composure though!
@@nickibridges2898 Wynand can never be fake. Respect and love for that. An endearing quality that will draw in many fans towards him. Thanks for mentioning the Kujo saga..
If the guy that was the lead singer in this song isn't typically their lead singer, then I'm definitely down to check out more from them! I really did enjoy the overall message of the song and the instrumental was perfectly fine! The snare rolls/marching band type feel was right up my alley!
The song has potential.. I just didn't care for this guy's voice at all. So long as people can tolerate his singing the rest of it wasn't bad in my opinion.

I think I may have said the same thing when I heard Zombies and Psyco Killer for the first time though grew to like them both. Arlo, Woody and Bob were their first names.

This is like a Picasso painting - you look at it and think, “man…this man can’t draw, I can do that”. Music can also be abstract, not just painters.
Love the Dropkick Murphys, but yes, Al's voice is an acquired taste ( or not acquired at all)
I honestly tried to get behind it. And he sounds pretty decent on the chorus parts.. but the verse parts were difficult for me.

Haha i love them but this song, never heard and I will never replay on my own 😣🤫 funny seeing you power trough 😂

This is my new favorite!! 😂 I LOVE IT!

Yeah I did not dig this song but I like the concept
Same page as you guys. I've been listening to too much great music lately so my tolerance is low for things like this.
Your honesty makes me giggle ☺️🤭
Just wait! Comments like yours are making me realize it's time for me to turn up the dial! It's going to start getting toasty in here!
I spat out my tea.. It's sounds good when you bury his voice 🤣🤣🤣
Please put band and song title in video name
Start your own channel and name your videos whatever you'd like. I promise I won't show up and leave comments like this if you do! Love you boo!

The shipping off to Boston dudes covered Pink Floyd? This has got to be terrible lmao
Not really in my range of lanes ... but agree on the voice !

To each their own. Not my taste.
The first thing I noticed was that you both have on similar hats. 🤔🥴
This was a song more fit for Ken's voice but it was so personal to al being about his dad he wanted to do it

You probably never heard of a guy or his father Guthrie or Dylan. . . .
I've never heard of any of these guys. This was as blind of a reaction as a blind reaction could be.
