Bushwalking in Winter: Mushroom Rocks & Mt. Erica

Bushwalk: 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙍𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙨 & 𝙈𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖 via Australian Alps Walking Track - 8.7 km, out & back, 15 peeps
🚗Mount Erica Carpark
The road to the Carpark is pretty steep, uneven, and unpaved. So I was really grateful for friends that offered to carpool. It was definitely safer with a bigger car.
The trail is located slightly further from Mount Baw Baw.
At that time, the track was quite wet and muddy due to the whole week rain.
There is no view at Mt. Erica's summit but there is a stone chimney there that serves as a landmark. A hut probably used to stand there quite a long time ago.
Our way back to the entrance were riddled by snow.
Because of that, it felt like forever to walk back.
That said, walking with the group was such a great experience.

𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠
After the hike, we stopped at this park to have an early dinner.
There were many foods shared that day but the star of the day was the meatball soup that was served with rice cakes, shredded cabbage, vermicelli, chopped celery, fried shallots, and chilli sauce. I just couldn't describe how perfect it was on a cold snowy day.
There were also Indonesian traditional cakes. One was made of cassava and the other was steamed layer cake.
What a stunning dedication to bring all the foods, complete with the portable stoves!
Walking in a group that has culinary dedication is amazing!
I had never had this experience before. Thank you for all the delicious foods and the time preparing so much food.
