Loco Histories: Da1 - Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway

  • In this video, follow our volunteer, Dylan, as he guides us through the history of the railway's very own thunderbird, Da1, from her time as a powered tender in Tasmania to passenger diesel in Cleethorpes.

    Da1 has had an interesting career . Thanks for the history lesson Dylan . The last film of the loco in the present day is wonderful though and the blue livery and lettering very classy . 😊

      yes, we've been a 15 inch gauge railway since 1994 after a re-gauge from 14 1/4 inch gauge. we were originally a 10 1/4 inch gauge railway from 1948 to 1971 when it became 14 1/4 inch
