Good morning Josie, how lovely to see you again and enjoying your creative hobbies. The shawl is a lovely colour and all the more special because you dyed it yourself. How impressive. It will be a lovely one to use when baby arrives. The socks, as you say, so Christmasy and lovely. :). I don't think it matters how fast something is done. So long as the process is enjoyed. I dip in and out of what makes me happy on the day. Enjoying what I do each time. A short video with one thing to share is sufficient if that is what you want to video about. It is after all for you to look back on and see your progress. For those of us sharing your channel with you the time spent with you and your makes I am sure is appreciated whatever you share. Take care until your next video and good luck with the potty training. :)
Hi, Ann! Thank you so much your kind words, as always! It's a great reminder to hear that the podcast videos are also for me to look back on - a very sweet visual diary. Hehe thank you 🤗
Love the socks! I’ve only done colorwork once-a 4 inch stripe on the cuff of a mitten. I had to go up FOUR needle sizes to get the right tension. 😬 I’d like to try again. I held both yarns in my left hand. I’d like to be able to hold one in each but I don’t know how to knit English style. Which way did you do it? I guess I need to practice. 😂There are so many cute colorwork sweaters!
@@EileenK64 thank you so much! Oh wow well hats off to you for actually adjusting your needle size to meet gauge - I’ve learned my lesson 😂 I held my navy color continental style and my white color English style! There really are adorable colorwork patterns - learning colorwork has opened up so many patterns! Have you seen those rings that have hooks that you wear on your finger in order to hold both yarns while you knit continental colorwork? They look pretty cool, albeit intimidating 😅

The color work socks look great! I have yet to try color work but I want to. My daughter loved the socks so maybe I will try for her.😊
@@goldenknits2 thank you! Oh you should - that would be a fun gift 😊
