More shows like this please. Great ideas thanks
I really enjoy Stan Scott's work. He explains these DIY jobs really simply; nice one, Stan!
mikewakeling Stan the man
Mitre 10 is building some solid loyalty in me! Thanks for the great content!
Manawa hiwinui
anybody know how much it cost?
I really like this concept... the house is great
Very good , nice
How did I miss this series ... Awesome ... Kia ora
This guy sounds like Gordon Ramsay, minus the swearing😂
Seems good so far! Was easy to talk to about his My Shed Plans [Go Here=> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ]. Guided me in the right direction & helped me understand everything & in the end it was what I wanted
Lol lot nicer aswell.
awesome build however how much dose it cost?
Awesome
I like this kind of stuff, keep it coming.
Cool
It is very good. I want to build my own too. Learning it.
Let us know how you get on! ^Matt
I want to make on too
I see tape went down on the trailer before laying down the floor... is this for thermal bridging?
Yes, for thermal bridging. Looks like DPC.
Hi Geenine44, in this particular case the "tape" they put down is acting as a damp proof course DPC (preventing moisture to wick from the steel into the plywood), but it is not really acting as a preventative for thermal bridging as well - it is too thin. A thicker, more appropriate material would be needed to prevent thermal bridging from the cold steel into the plywood (and then up through the floor into the home). A DPC of some sort would definitely still be needed whether it was acting to prevent thermal bridging as well or not.
Do tiny house on wheels need to be as per NZS3604?
For the constructive purpose, I wish you would have recorded and explained a bit more of how to cut and frame a 15 degree side wall itself and the connection with others.
They would’ve cut the 15deg lengths, followed by cutting the top long point and short point,(short point being short side of the 15deg cut and the other side a square cut
Where can we find the plans for this build?
Jason Downe If you are planning for a tiny house with all comforts, please visit - *bit.ly/2s1irsm*
Here, you need to create an account , takes 1 minute and then download the plans.easy as . www.mitre10.co.nz/tiny-house-2
Did they put any insulation on the floor ??
I would it’s sensible.
Good video's but its a shame that the NZ public are being ripped off with Mitre10 prices . They are putting massive markups on all their products that would make your eyes water . And if only people shopped around they would find better prices .
Where?
@@heed. I second this. I know it's true though. In Australia stratco was selling beams for 700. I was getting them same quality same product from an Asian warehouse for 270. Surprisingly not many builders I know knew of the place
Want one
Pretty cool aren't they, Pareina? Would you have a crack and building one yourself? ^Kane
Which software is used to display the video
I would guess Sketchup
Apparently now in the US, they can now be on a permanent foundation, which is a total game changer.
FlowerGrower Smith v me c '
There are permanent tiny houses in New Zealand.
Where’s the under floor insulation 😮
I can’t find part 2
Why can't they use steel frames instead of wood?
Hi Ridhin, thanks for reaching out! You can definitely use steel frames. We've used timber framing as we've used products found in our Mitre 10 stores 🤗 ^Cam
They can lol. I think it's a budget thing bro haha
anybody know how much it cost?
im guessing over 120k
You can't keep talking ahout budgets and prices and not tell people watching what these people have spent. The first house didn't mention the cost at all...

Gday muuuaaaate. There's one comment apart from mine but I can't see it? What's TH-cam hiding haha
@@cookdislander4372 someone probably deleted their comment. Probs said something nasty and regretted it after haha. I've definitely done that before.
New Zealanders have been truly ripped off if they have to resort to this.
