Trust us. The Hamilton rabbit hole is almost as good at the Pentatonix one. You won't experience anything even remotely close to anything like it. Hamilton just hits different.

As a HUGE Pentatonix fan (I met them back in 2016) Hamilton is better. PTX has amazingly beautiful arrangements but Hamilton has so much more. It is the greatest musical ever written. The lyrical complexity and rhythms, all the historic/broadway/hip hop references, the recurring musical themes for each character. It changes the whole game.

This is a "sung through" musical. The album gives you everything you need. The story is compelling. The music is the best mash up EVER! Musical theater, R&B, Jazz, British Pop, Hip Hop and Rap. But it's all original. The musical themes attach to each character, so it's pretty easy to follow who is singing/rapping.
You absolutely MUST.

Some are very short. Group as makes sense, but do "Helpless" and "Satisified" together.
There are six actors that play the same part end-to-end.

Please do more Hamilton! Absolutely not just for theater people. Imo this isn’t even one of the best songs. Lin’s writing is crazy, both the raps and songs. And there are double meanings and references in a lot of them. They’re written as regular rap songs. I never saw anything like it.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is a freaking genius, and managed to craft a work of art that is educational, comical, and heartbreaking, while paying homage to rap/hip-hop icons, the British Invasion (the musical one in the 1960’s), traditional Broadway/musical theatre numbers, and composing beautiful ballads. It’s filled with double entendres and callbacks. And the performances are incredible 🤯 (particularly those of Leslie Odom, Jr. and Chris Jackson).
The whole show is 🔥🔥, but I think "My Shot" will really impress you.
The whole play is absolutely amazing and definitely worth checking out! This was fun ❤❤
