Renee’s performance is too stunning to really describe in mere words...I never grow weary of hearing this one; it’s beyond stellar. Rap Trivia: back in the day, Renee actually attended Cranbrook “that’s a private school...”
I think she hated Angelica because instead of cutting it off completely, she was still lowkey entertaining Alexander in a sense throughout the story. They both kept blurring the lines a bit, which isn't the most appropriate...
Yeah, but I don’t like her real life character that much, mainly because she didn’t even do that stuff in real life, she wasn’t even their when he meet Eliza.
Omg me too. I so wish I could hit that note like she does bc I just want to belt it out right along with her. I get chills without fail, every single time. A-mazing voice and stage presence...no auto-tune here! That is ALL her. Bravo 👏 👏 👏
The things that I love/tug my heartstrings about this performance is watching Angelica just wilt after her "I'll leave you to it". Also like the bit with Washington straightening up Alexander's outfit like he's his dad at the wedding.
I remember back in 2015 my friend recommended me to listen to the whole soundtrack and I was blown away by Angelica's *Satisfied* and Burr's *Wait for it* performance. They become my favorite because you can really feel the pain of what they're going through.
Yeah but in real life Angelica wasn’t even the one who knew or showed Eliza Alexander. Apparently Peggy did, she handed Alexander to Eliza from what I heard but I already knew that in real life Angelica didn’t even do that nice thing she does in the play, if that makes sense.
Non-Stop is still my favorite song of the entire musical though, mostly because it brings everyone’s individual song in together at the end of it and it just combines them perfectly. ❤️
My favorite song of the play!!!. I love how you can just hear the anguish throughout the song. Perfection. Done masterfully by Renee Elise Goldsberry!!!
Thank you for finally posting this! I have been waiting because I wanted to see if Jane changed her mind about hating Angelica. The real performance is more emotional and causes you to feel more empathetic when you see Angelica's body language and facial expressions. I always love Jane and JV's reactions.
I watched their reaction of Satisfied's animatics and she didn't say she hated Angelica. It apparently didn't start until "Take a Break", then culminated in "Congratulations".
The fact that they filmed this during more than one performance is something I love because it created something subtle to watch for. The flower on Angelica's dress (I'm pretty sure there's a name for it but cannot remember it for the life of me. Corsage? disappears and reappears in different shots. 0:25 Flower 0:49 No flower 1:00 flower
A little relieved I'm not the only one who abjectly weeps through this performance. So gorgeous! Absolutely was gobsmacked by this number the first time I saw it. Am now obsessed. I always start belting with her at the end though, can't help it!
In my opinion, i think it was a good choice that she (angelica) and alexander did not end together. Those 3 fundamental truths (realizations) made her think that theres more to her, for her family and for her sister...thats why she decided to give her to eliza. I think its for the better. I love her character here, it just shows her unconditional love for family. Kudos to renè in her spendid representation.
I loved your sincere reaction . And yes you definitely have to see the song performed to appreciate how brilliant it is and how it explains Hamilton’s character.
Satisfied is a repeat of the background and choreography of the previous two numbers (A Winter's Ball and Helpless) as told from Angelica's POV. It shows the audience how Angelica put her own feelings aside for her sister and also how she put her sense of responsibility and duty above how she felt. She was instrumental in Eliza and Alexander meeting and winding up together.
Recommendation: watch the video that someone made which has and side by side. Seeing them both side by side gives you a chance to see the little details going on in that we never notice until is Eliza's point of view falling in love with Hamilton, and is Angelica's point of view falling in love with Hamilton, but with , you actually get to see how she fell and the pain and regret she felt, especially knowing that as the oldest, she couldn't have him, and so it was easier for her to step aside so Eliza could marry him- and that way, as Angelica says, 'at least his eyes will be in my life'. You also get to see how things line up- like 'If I told her that I loved him' (from Angelica's point of view) matches up with 'I'm just saying if you loved me you would share him' (from Eliza's point of view) and how they're essentially two sides of the same coin. It's definitely worth watching that side-by-side video.
I think they are posting them rarely because they want people to subscribe to their patreon where the full reaction is. Normally I'd be mad but Im probably gonna join the patreon so I can't talk lmao

I think they disappear because it’s the scene goes back in time- as it does the flowers and veil disappear and then reappear when time goes forward again.

Okay while I love the Disney+ movie. I think it’s a bit harsh to call the animatics cheap. People put hours of hard work into them, and always try their best to show the emotion of the characters. I think both are amazing in their own ways. :
@@lpsivy Nah. Look at the reactors in this clip. The cartoon of this scene gave them a totally opposite impression of the live action picture. If the animators are trying to get the feeling of the play, they are doing a piss poor job.

You guys should react to Heather's the Musical in the same way you reacted to Hamilton through animatics. I would love to see your reactions to the songs! 😁
There’s something wrong with your sound. You are very loud and your sound is not loud enough. Also, it would be helpful if you would like to talk in the middle of the video and occasionally pause to make comments you’re not interrupting the video

If you didn’t know they redid the entire “A Winters Ball” and “Helpless” choreography in reverse.
That’s when when while the scene is being reversed, the ensemble is singing “rewind” for a bit.
@@boborambles yep!
I actually got to see Hamilton a few years ago. Not the original Broadway cast, but it was still awesome!

@@cynerahpinklover8684 In real life, Angelica was already married and she did indeed have brothers. Lin changed it up for dramatic license.
I hate that they took out Angelica’s “Congratulations” which came after Hamilton cheated in the play. Made her seem like a very strong character
Yeah but at the same time, it makes sense that we needed to see Eliza's reaction first
It doesn’t make sense after The Reynolds pamphlet, or Burn

A lot of the musical isn’t historically accurate to fit an entire lifetime into a play and increase drama
